    17 New Pack Members


    Lincoln POV


    “Elder James, I want to thank you for listening to us and not being as closed minded as Elder Thomas.”


    “I mean no disrespect but it was very evident he is siding with As.” “I respect my fellow Elder, but we


    do not share the same ideas of women in our society.” “Regardless of his opinion I have the final say


    and I will make sure that he understands as such.” “Honestly, Lincoln, this is not how I expected our


    visit to go today.” “That’s true you said you needed my help.” “So please, what can we do for you.” He


    smiles “we did need your help to locate Amelia after As told Elder Thomas she ran away due to the


    lies Freya told her.” “Obviously that is no longer the case.” “What happens now Elder James” I ask. “I


    will return to the other Elders and we will have a discussion on how to proceed.” “I ask that you do not


    attack Darkmoon however if they present any threat to you or your Luna you have the Elders


    permission and support to defend your pack.” “We will be making a visit to the Darkmoon tounch a


    formal investigation into the death of Alpha Elias and As’s disgusting behavior.” He turns to Neal


    “Neal we can find cement for you in a pack as I’m sure you do not wish to return to the Darkmoon”


    Elder James says. “That will not be necessary, Neal will be joining the Nightfire Pack.” Elder James


    looks at me with shock on his face.


    “You are a remarkable man, Alpha Lincoln, to extend such an invitation” Elder James says to me. He


    turns to Neal, “Neal, I am proud of you.” “Many Betas wouldn’t do the right thing and would never go


    against their Alpha.” “Elias is the only Alpha I had at the Darkmoon Pack”, Neal says. Elder James


    nods before he stands. “I will be in touch Alpha Lincoln and Luna Amelia.” I love that he acknowledges


    her as my Luna. I stand and shake his hand before he leaves. I turn and Amelia wraps her arms


    around me “thank you, Lincoln, for epting me and arranging this meeting.” “You never have to thank


    me love, I will defend you with myst breath.” She pulls back and kisses my lips gently. I hear a throat


    clear and I look back at a smiling Michael. Amelia stands next to me with a blush on her cheeks. He


    Amelia POV


    “Let me go and get them” I say to Lincoln. He nods and I head from the office to the room Lily has been


    staying in. I knock and the door swings open. She pulls me in to a hug. “How did it go?” I lead her


    inside for a minute. “I came to get you and John so we can talk about the meeting with the Elders.” I


    can see the moment she realizes I mean Neal. “Amelia I’m scared, what if your wrong and he rejects


    me.” “I left everything in my life because I wanted my true mate and I don’t think I’ll survive if it was for


    nothing.” A single tear runs down her cheek. “I promise you that no matter what happens you will


    survive.” “You are one of the strongest people I know.” “If Neal is to stupid to realize what a gift you are


    no matter your super natural kind then he doesn’t deserve you.” “Just so you know though I don’t think


    Neal is stupid” I say with a smile. I wrap her in a hug. When she pulls back, I wipe the tears from her


    cheeks. “One more thing, when this is all settled with As, we are dealing with your past and you will


    see your mother again.” She smiles “I really love you Amelia.” “I love you too.” “Where is John?” “I’ll call


    him to meet us in Lincoln’s office.” After she makes the call, we head to the office.


    Lily POV


    As we walk down the hallway, I can feel my heart beating out of my chest. Amelia opens the door and I


    follow her inside. Before I realize what’s happening, I’m lifted off the ground and wrapped in two strong


    arms. “Mate” I hear in my ear as he buries his head in my neck. “Beloved”, I whisper back. Amelia


    smiles and takes a seat next to Lincoln. John walks past us and takes a seat. “Neal, can you put me


    down so we can talk to the others.” I can feel him stiffen at my words. I don’t want him to feel like my

    leading him over to a chair. I start to sit in the chair next to him but he pulls me onto hisp. I don’t fight


    him because I need him close as much as he needs me. “So, what did the Elders say,” I ask. “Elder


    James believes Amelia and Neal are telling the truth, but Elder Thomas is going to be a problem”,


    Lincoln says. “So, what happens now since they don’t agree?” “I didn’t realize but Elder James is the


    head of the Elders group so that worked in our favor.” “He will be making the decision and he will be


    leading the investigation.”


    I watch Ameliay her hand on her stomach. “Are you alright” I ask. I worry about the stress that this


    whole situation puts on Amelia. “Yes, he’s just moving around a lot.” I smile and lean in,ying my hand


    on her belly. I feel the pup move under my hand and smile. I lean back, “so basically we just wait for the


    Elders to handle this and hope that the do*chebag doesn’t try to get to Amelia.” Lincoln growls and


    Ameliays her hand on his arm. “He will never touch her or get to her” Lincoln says. “I wish that really


    was how it’s going to happen, Lily, but I know As and he isn’t going to listen to them if he could kill


    his own brother”, Amelia says. “I will be increasing the warrior presence throughout the pack and the


    border patrol” Lincoln says. “John and I will be cing some protection spells around the pack.” “Thank


    you, Lily.”


    Lincoln POV


    “Neal before you go and spend time with your new mate, I would like to perform the ritual to make you,


    Lily, and John pack members.” I can see the look of shock on John and Lily’s face. “Lincoln, I don’t


    think that is a good idea.” “I don’t think your pack is going to like you allowing a witch and a warlock to


    join your pack” John says. “First of all, Lily is going to be mated to a pack member.” “Secondly you two


    have proven your loyalty to this pack so if anyone doesn’t like my decision then they can find a new


    pack.” I take the dagger from my desk and the chalice off my shelf. I cut my hand, allowing my blood to


    drip into the chalice. “I, Alpha Lincoln Joseph Thomas, of the Nightfire pack, make you Neal Connor


    Martin a member of the Nightfire Pack.” I hand him the chalice and he drinks. As soon as he finishes


    drinking, I feel my connection to him. “I, Neal Connor Martin, swear my allegiance to the Nightfire Pack


    and Alpha Lincoln Thomas.” He hands me back the chalice and I turn to John. I repeat the same with


    John. “I, John Liam Bloom, swear my allegiance to the Nightfire Pack and Alpha Lincoln Thomas.” I


    repeat myself and Lily takes the chalice. Once she drinks, I feel a connection like I’ve never felt with a


    pack member. I knew she was powerful but this is amazing. “I, Lily Teresa Bloom, swear my allegiance


    to the Nightfire Pack, Alpha Lincoln, and Luna Amelia Thomas.” Her words bring a smile to my face


    and my mates. She really is an amazing person and I love that she has this bond with Amelia. I know


    she will protect her no matter what happens.


    “Michael, can you show Lily and Neal to one of the cottages?” “Please give John a cottage nearby


    them.” “Yes, Lincoln” he says and leads them out of my office. I turn to Amelia “I know you said that you


    saw the Darkmoon pack doctor a lot but I would like you to be checked by Dr. Neilson at our pack


    hospital.” She smiles “of course, you’ll get to see him.” I take her hand and lead her to the pack


    hospital. I link Dr. Neilson and she meets us in the waiting area. “Alpha, what’s going on, you said it


    was urgent.” Amelia gives me a look. “Everything is fine Dr. Neilson.” I take Amelia’s hand and she


    looks at me with confusion. “Dr. Neilson this is my mate and the future Luna, Amelia.” She smiles and


    bares her neck. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Luna.” Iy my hand on her stomach. “I would like you to


    check on our pup.” Dr. Neilson doesn’t miss a beat. “With pleasure Alpha, let’s go check on the pack’s


    heir.”


    She leads us to an exam room and Ameliays on the table. A few minutester, the doctor returns


    with an ultrasound machine. “How far along are you, Luna?” “I’m about three months along and I’m


    having a boy.” “Dr. Neilson, you can ask” Amelia says. She turns to Amelia, “you owe me no


    exnation Luna.” “I trust Alpha Lincoln and you are his mate.” I smile and she begins to wave the


    wand over Amelia’s stomach. The screen lights up and my pup is beautiful. “That is our pup, Lincoln.”


    “Yes, it is Talon, I feel it too.” Amelia takes my hand. “He’s beautiful love.” I lean down and kiss her


    forehead. “He is perfect Alpha and Luna.” “I would like for you toe see me every couple of weeks


    so we can make sure everything stays perfect.” “We will be here Dr. Neilson.” I will not miss one visit.


    “Dr. Neilson, I have a question”, Amelia says. “Of course, Luna.”


    Amelia POV


    “Lincoln is my second chance mate, but my bond isn’tpletely broken yet because I ran without


    breaking it.” She listens and I see no judgement on her face. “I would like to mark with Lincoln but will


    that be dangerous to the pup since I’m still technically mated to someone else.” She smiles “due to the


    fact that Alpha Lincoln is your true mate there is no risk to the pup.” “Thank you, Dr. Neilson for


    everything.” “Of course, Luna, I’ll give you a moment to clean up and I’ll be back with vitamins.” When


    she leaves, I look up at a smiling Lincoln.
