Chapter 10 - The Interrogation


    Lin Wen Xin raised her eyebrows and looked at Xiao Yu Zheng with a nk look.


    Xiao Yu Zheng immediately burst outughing, “I’m just joking! I’ve already heard from Yu Meng that


    you are getting married soon. Congrattions.”


    “Thank you!” Lin Wen Xin closed her eyes for a second, and gave a smile of relieve.


    “I hope you will be happy, I really mean it.” Xiao Yu Zheng said it with a deep look.


    He then smiled and jokingly added, “And if that man doesn’t treat you well,e to me, I will help you


    deal with him!”


    Xiao Yu Zheng did not wait for her reply and opened his car door.


    He walked towards the front of the car and gave Lin Wen Xin a teasing wink, and then went on to open


    the car door for her.


    Lin Wen Xin couldn’t hold back herughter as she sat in the car and looked at Xiao Yu Zheng’s foolish


    face.


    Even though Xiao Yu Zheng cannot bepared to Wang Shen Ze in terms of looks, he is still above


    average and is definitely considered to be handsome.


    His warm personality has also caught the hearts of many girls.


    But he did not put any of those girls in his eyes as he had only been loyal in pursuing one girl in his


    heart.


    That girl is Lin Wen Xin.


    However, Lin Wen Xin only had Wang Shen Ze in her heart and failed to notice Xiao Yu Zheng, who


    has always been by her side.


    Lin Wen Xin got off the car and waved goodbye to Xiao Yu Zheng before she entered the gates of her


    home.


    Xiao Yu Zheng then waved back, and quickly made a “call me” sign with his right hand.


    He leaned against his car and made sure that Lin Wen Xin entered her home safely. Only then did Xiao


    Yu Zheng return to the driver’s seat and drive away.


    Just a few meters away, a ck Rolls Royce car is seen to be parked in the shade.


    “You dare to have another man behind my back?” Wang Shen Ze sneered coldly.


    He had actually seen everything from the moment the yellow Porsche stopped in front of her house!


    If it wasn’t for the fact that his grandmother wanted him to personally bring the betrothal gift to her


    house, he wouldn’t even have bothered toe.


    But who knew that he would have caught such a scene!


    “Lin Wen Xin! You are unbelievable!”


    Wang Shen Ze initially wanted to bring the gifts in to the Lin’s Residence, but now he is in such a bad


    mood that he doesn’t even want to entertain anyone including Lin Gao Hai.


    He took out his phone and sent a message to Lin Wen Xin.


    Granny Wang had passed Lin Wen Xin’s number to him, just in case he needed to contact her.


    How useful it is now!


    Five minutester, there was still no reply on Wang Shen Ze’s phone.


    He is so used to people running to him at a snap of his fingers.


    Not to mention 5 minutes, but to actually make him wait for 5 seconds... heh... that was the greatest


    discount that he could ever give to anybody!

    He tapped his fingers on the steering wheel impatiently.


    Wang Shen Ze then decided to give Lin Wen Xin a call.


    One call...


    Two calls...


    Three calls...


    Over on the other side, Lin Wen Xin had just finished showering and walked out of the bathroom.


    She was drying her hair with a towel as she strolled towards her bedside table.


    Lin Wen Xin picked up her phone and waspletely shocked!


    What? 20 missed calls?!


    And one text message?...


    Furthermore, this number is not even in Lin Wen Xin’s saved contact list.


    Even a sales agent wouldn’t be so desperate right?


    Out of curiosity, she clicked on the text message.

    Lin Wen Xin walked over to her room’s balcony to check if there is anyone downstairs, just in case!


    But there’s no one at all??


    And just as she was about to turn and return to her room, she saw a car parked just below a huge tree


    that is outside her house.

    She immediately recognised this car as there are only three of such cars in the country! The other two


    cars also belonged to the Wang Family.


    So other than him, who else could it be!


    Lin Wen Xin immediately threw the towel on her bed and rushed downstairs without a care in the world!


    Oh no! How long has he been waiting for me?


    He must be so angry!


    Lin Wen Xin was in such a hurry that shepletely forgotten she is only wearing a thin nightgown – a


    short satin dress in ck, with a crisscross design that exposed her back!


    As she was running towards the car, she felt the cool wind continuously touching her bare skin.


    Lin Wen Xin then realised that there was something wrong with her outfit!


    But it was already toote!


    She had already arrived at the car and Wang Shen Ze had already stepped out!


    Lin Wen Xin hurriedly ced two hands on her chest to cover the exposed parts of her body as she


    looked at him with a confused look.


    Wang Shen Ze came out from his car and stared at her.


    Initially he was so angry that he was thinking about how he should punish her when he sees her.


    But when he saw her running towards his car, with her messy long hair caused by the wind, and now


    standing in front of him as though he was some kind of wolf?


    In that instance, he saw some resemnce between Lin Wen Xin and his first love.


    The way she ran towards him... her eyes... and her look...


    It was exactly the same as when he had first met his little girl in high school!


    Back then, Lin Wen Xin’s friend told her that the secret diary she lost had been picked up by a male


    senior student whom she was unfamiliar with...


    She panicked as she ran across the track field in school and towards the grandstand that he was at.

    As Wang Shen Ze thought of these, his gaze towards her became colder.


    “Where did you go to after work?”


    Lin Wen Xin thought about it for a while, before replying him with a bright smile, “Oh! I went to Yu


    Meng’s house for dinner. Yu Meng is my best friend from high school.”


    As Xiao Yu Meng was transferred in to their high school after Wang Shen Ze graduated, they naturally


    did not know each other.


    “Then who was the man that you were with?”


    “That is Xiao Yu Zheng. He is Xiao Yu Meng’s older brother.” Lin Wen Xin guessed that he had already


    seen them together earlier.


    However, it was not like she did anything that was against her conscience, so she wasn’t afraid to let


    him know.


    “Why did he send you back home?”


    “Why can’t you take a taxi back on your own?”


    “Weren’t there other people who could send you back?”


    “Why did you stay in his car for such a long time?”
