Chapter 54


    ke and Eve are sitting on the table inside the kitchen when she got in. They both looked up from


    their food. ke pulled a chair for her and she sulkily sat.


    "What''s wrong?" Eve asked while ke put some food on her te.


    "Why the long face Miss Hotness?" he asked with a sexy grin .


    "You deliberately made my boss angry!" she used him.


    He chuckled before saying, "Eat."


    After swallowing her food, Eve asked," And what did my hot cousin did to piss your yummy boss?"


    ke shook his head and said," Beats me why women describe some men as hot and yummy which


    are adjectives more suitable for food "


    Eve just stuck her tongue out at him while she chose not to react orment.


    "You shouldn''t have provoked my boss ke!" She said as she took some of the food.


    "He doesn''t scare me.He acts and talks as if he owns you.Is he your boyfriend?" he asked as he knits


    his brows.


    Stacey opened her mouth to say something but Eve interrupted. "If they are not yet together , I am sure


    that they will be very soon. They look so good together."


    ke made an ugly sound at the back of his throat in disapproval. "And since when did you like


    arrogant and patronizing men, Miss Hotness?"


    She didn''t answer him. Instead she looked at her friend. "Hurry up eating Eve. We have to get out of


    here now. Anyway your performance on stage is 2 hours away. "


    "Why do you need to rush?" with furrowed brows, ke asked.


    Stacey just chewed her bottom lip.ke can give Nick a run for his money. He was a part-time martial


    instructor when he was wooing her. So if they will get physical, she has no clue who will be beaten up


    badly and she doesn''t want to know. ke has a special spot in her heart because he has been nice to


    her even before and Nick... well..


    She sighed.


    She doesn''t want any of them hurt so it''s best that she and Eve go before Nick arrives.


    "I want to have coffee somewhere." she lied. "Let''s use my car Eve! " she added and rose from her


    chair before ke could stop them.


    She almost dragged her friend as they walk to her car. She gave her the key."You drive. I''ll call Nick.


    Let''s go to the cafe three blocks from here."

    Nick was relieved to know that Stacey wasn''t with the asshole. She is with her friend Eve. It saved him


    from beating him up which could have caused a rift again between him and his woman . She called to


    say where they are.


    After talking for a few minutes over coffee , he asked Billy to use his car to drive Eve back to the bar


    and he on the other hand, will drive Stacey''s car to bring her home. He wants to talk to her somewhere.


    He will just call Billy to pick him up at Stacey''s houseter.


    Now they are in the car parked several meters away from the cafe.


    "Honey.." he called her.


    Stacey swallowed a smile because Nick used his endearment for her again which made her feel giddy.


    She turned to him and she couldn''t help biting her bottom lip because of the way he is looking at her.


    When she saw him open his mouth to say something, she chose to speak first.


    "I''m sorry." she said in a husky voice.


    She looked at him in amazement as his lips broke into a small smile which reaches his eyes and


    lightens them.The look on his handsome face is making her body react. She can feel her nipples


    hardening and she feels a sensation in her most private part. Nick really makes her sexually excited


    especially when they are alone.


    She almost gaped when he pulled her to him by his hand on her nape.


    They both groaned when their lips touched . He encircled his other arm around her to pull her even


    closer. Her hands are on his biceps. They kissed as if they haven''t seen each other for days or even


    weeks. They want to quench their thirst for each other. When his lips went down to her neck, Stacey


    moaned his name.


    Upon hearing his name, Nick returned his lips to hers. He kissed her more passionately because he


    likes the way she called out his name. After a few moments, he broke the kiss and cupped her chin. He


    moved his head back to put a little distance between them. He wants to look at her eyes.


    "That sounds so damn fine,honey.I really like it when you say my name when we kiss or make love." he


    murmured huskily.


    Stacey smiled shyly.


    "I just want you to trust me honey. That''s all I ask. "he said gently before giving her a peck on the lips.


    Now he framed her face and is looking at her lovely features as if he is memorizing it. Stacey dropped


    her eyes. She can''t stand looking at his dark ones. She is afraid she might give her real feelings away.


    She can''t afford to do that. She has stronger feelings for him but she shouldn''t forget that Derick is her


    priority.


    "Nick.." she protested when he gave her light kisses on the lips again.


    She couldn''t move away from him because he wouldn''t let her. She raised her hands to his which are


    holding her face. He chuckled but after a second or two, he released her face.


    "Okay, now we talk." he said. His eyes drinking in her pretty face.


    She pouted. She knows what he wants to talk about.


    "Have you forgotten that you aren''t supposed to go out at night during weekdays?" He asked with a


    heavy frown.


    "It''s still early. I didn''t want to go home yet. We just had dinner." she said after moistening her lips.


    "With that asshole?!" he asked through gritted teeth. Gone is his sexy smile.


    She tried to hold the stare. " Eve was with us."


    Then out of instinct , she moved a little away from him when she saw anger in his eyes.


    "Why the hell did he call you babe?!"


    "N-Nick...he was just joking." she exined and to make it lighter,she let out a quietugh.


    "And why would he make such a fucking joke ?"


    She doesn''t know how to answer that so she just chewed the inside of her cheek.


    "Maybe it''s time for me and that asshole to have our talk." Nick said as if to himself while he balled his


    hands which are on the steering wheel.


    She felt her heart beat faster. "No! What for? ke and I are just friends!"


    "That''s not the impression I gotst time." Nick said while gritting his teeth.He looks very displeased.


    Then she remembered that the two talkedst time when Nick took her home and found ke''s big


    bike outside her step-father''s house. They looked as if they wanted to hurt each other physically. She


    made a mental note to ask ke what he said to Nick which angered him.


    But she wants them to drop the subject of Eve''s cousin. She doesn''t want Nick getting pissed with


    ke again.


    "Let''s not talk about ke. Trust me. He is just a friend."


    Nick raked his hand through his hair and sighed heavily before looking at her again. " I don''t ever want


    to see him near you! Is that clear honey?"


    She nodded.


    "Come here!" he said before pulling her to him again.


    As usual, she felt lost in a wonderful sensation but she has to stop this passionate kiss. She put her


    hand on his arms to push him from her. He didn''t want to release her at first but she made a sound of


    protest against his lips. After a while, he finally freed her lips.


    "What?" he asked looking very displeased.


    She straightened. She sighed deeply to calm her nerves.


    "Nick I want to say something but please don''t be angry."


    His aura became dark again but she has to say it now.She has to muster all the courage she has to say


    what she feels .


    "I think we should stop seeing each other."


    She gasped when he cursed angrily. "Please listen to me first!"


    Nick is breathing in gasps as he controls his rage. "Your exnation had better be good honey.


    Because right now..I am ready to blow a fuse.." he said, his nostrils are ring.


    "I will be honest with you.I really like being with you but can we just have a boss-employee rtionship


    for the meantime? I am sure that all the people in the building know what you did to Mr. Enriquez and I


    don''t want them to gossip about us even more. Let the situation cool down first..please Nick. "

    In two days she will see Derick and if he will let her see his face, she will say yes to being his girlfriend.


    She loves Nick but she is choosing Derick. It will be more difficult for her if they continue seeing each

    his phone and dialed it.


    "Nick! Are you even listening to me?" she asked with a heavy frown but he ignored her.


    "Billy! Get directions from Eve. Go to Stacey''s house. I''ll see you there!" he said before starting the


    engine again.


    "Nick?! Did you hear what I said?" she asked with a hint of irritation.


    He didn''t even throw her a nce.


    "I heard you but as I''ve said before, I don''t give a damn what people say but for your peace of mind,


    don''t worry I won''t touch or kiss you in public yet." he said casually.


    "What?! What do you mean?!"


    "I said I won''t touch or kiss you in public yet because you still have inhibitions about that. But you are


    my woman and I like to touch ,kiss and make love to you so I can''t promise that I can control myself ."


    "I am not your woman Nick!!" she yelled.


    He sighed then nced at her for a few seconds before focusing on his driving again.


    "Don''t waste your energy honey. That''s a fact.I think I should be stricter . Look at you. You are acting


    like a spoiled girlfriend. You are my first girlfriend but I will not always let you get your way." he said


    calmly.


    "NICK!!! This is not funny anymore!"


    "If you don''t stop yelling honey, I will pull over and kiss you passionately until you calm down.You are


    almost hysterical." he said while shaking his head.


    She knows that he will do what he said so she just sulkily leaned back on her seat and crossed her


    arms in front of her. She is frowning heavily.


    Nick smiled secretly when he nced at his woman. Now he knows what to say to make her sumb


    to what he wants.


    "What did you eat for dinner honey?" he asked trying to have a small talk .


    His question took her by surprise. She is after all not yet used to his being bipr..


    "Honey?"


    "I don''t know what they call it."


    Nick chuckled.


    "Never eat something you don''t know honey. That could be dangerous." he joked.


    Stacey looked out the window.


    "Same with, never enter a rtionship with someone you don''t really know." she murmured.


    Nick must have heard her because he said, "Remember what I told you before honey? I want you to


    get to know the real me."


    She didn''t say anything anymore after that. They just drove in silence.

    "We''re here honey. Let me park your car inside. " Nick said when they arrived at her house.


    She frowned. Her mother''s car is in the carport. She doesn''t want Nick to meet her. If Derick is going to


    be her man, she wants her mother to meet him, not her boss. And knowing Nick, she is positive that


    he''ll tell her mother about his intentions.


    "I will do thatter. Let''s just wait for Billy here." she suggested.


    "It will take him more or less twenty minutes to get here. Besides I want to meet your mother."


    "S-She might be asleep already. "


    Nick shrugged. "Let''s check honey. It''s not thatte anyway. "


    "Why do you want to meet her?" she asked.


    She is holding her breath as he looks at her intently before answering. She knows what he is going to


    say but she still wants to hear it.


    He got her hand. "I want her to meet your man." he said while grinning from ear to ear.


    She got her hand back.


    "Stop it Nick! We both know that you are not my boyfriend so don''t tell my mother such a thing!"


    "Okay then. I will just tell her that I am wooing you though we both know that we are past that stage."


    Before she could protest, he pulled her to him.


    He kissed her again on the mouth. This time it''s a very sweet kiss, not the usual French kiss they


    share. She moaned against his lips.


    Then there was a loud tap on the window . She pushed him from her and turned to look at the window.


    She gaped when she saw an angry Heather outside the car. Next to her is their mother who is


    frowning.
