Chapter 33


    (Nick)


    He is talking to someone on his phone while he tails them. He is hoping that Stacey will not snake her


    arms around the a*shole as she did with Derick because all hell will break lose. Her hands are resting


    on the other man''s shoulders but he is still very pissed.


    No one should be that close to her but me!--he kept repeating to himself.


    When the motorcycle stopped in front of a Spanish restaurant, he chose to park on the cafe next to it.


    He is using a different car so he is not worried that Stacey will know it''s him inside and the windows are


    heavily tinted. His eyes are never leaving them. He dialed his phone again when the two entered the


    restaurant.


    "Where are you? What''s taking you so long?" he impatiently asked to the person on the other end of


    the line ..


    (Stacey)


    "Is this table okay Miss Hotness?" she heard ke asked her as they were led to a table for two at the


    corner.


    She nodded then looked around. The ce is cozy. She likes the yellow lights and the fact that there


    are only few people since it''s a Monday.


    "What do you want?" asked ke. He has a nice smile which made him more attractive.


    "You decide. Anything is fine with me. " she said in a small voice . She avoided looking at him because


    of his intense stare.


    She considered this a friendly date and not something that Derick will get angry about.


    He ordered gazpacho, cuchifritos, fideua and creme brulee for dessert. He also ordered txakoli for their


    drink so she slightly frowned when the waiter left.


    "What''s wrong?" he asked her. His voice sounded worried.


    "We shouldn''t be drinking. Especially you. " she said.


    "Don''t worry. It has low alcohol content. We''ll just have one ss each. You don''t even have to finish it


    off. I wouldn''t put our lives in jeopardy." he assured her.

    He got out of his car. He is standing next to it as he waits for someone. His hands are clenched. He has


    been calling Stacey as Derick but she is not picking up. He is livid but he just can''t go inside the


    restaurant and beat the life out of that bastard she''s with. He now knows she is with the bar''s owner. At


    this point, though he wants to be violent, he should be more rational. Stacey already has a very bad


    opinion of him. He will deal with the bar owner one of these days. He can''t make a scene tonight.

    "Why did you order all these ke? This is too much! " she eximed .


    " We won''t leave unless we eat everything. "he joked as he put food on her te.


    She just released a sigh and smiled . ke didn''t change. He was already sweet and thoughtful when


    he was still wooing her. Actually his bad boy image doesn''t suit the real him. He may look tough outside


    but she knows better.


    "Oh my gosh ke! That''e enough!" she let out a quietugh as he puts a lot of food on her te.


    "ke!" she almost shrieked before she stopped his hand from putting more.


    Then all of a sudden something made her turn her head to look at the entrance door. The head waiter


    opened it and two diners came into view. She swallowed when she saw that it''s Nick and he is with a


    beautiful woman. ke couldn''t see them because he has his back on the door but she has a full view


    of them. She dropped her eyes to her food. Nick hasn''t seen her yet. Even just looking at them only for


    a few seconds, she already has the woman''s image vividly in her head. She has her dark hair tied in a


    bun. She looks sophisticated. She seems to be Hispanic. She is in a purple mini-dress which


    emphasized her slim figure. She is tall because the top of her head reaches Nick''s forehead. Thetter

    She didn''t know that she lost color which didn''t escape ke.


    "Are you okay Stacey? You look pale . Is something wrong? " he asked her. He sounded really


    concerned.


    She shook her head from side to side. " Nothing. I''m okay. Let''s eat." she said in a small voice.


    She dreads the time when Nick and the woman have to pass by their table.

    "What a surprise to see you here Miss Ledesma." came a very cold voice.


    She and ke looked up. She met Nick''s cold eyes. She got goose bumps.


    "S-Sir? " she uttered . She hopes it didn''t sound shaky.


    From her peripheral vision, she saw that the woman he is with, is already at the table next to them. She


    seems to be looking at their direction.


    ke tore his eyes from Nick and looked at her. His brows are knitted as if he wants to ask her


    something.


    "I just want to know if you have finished the designs." he said with an arctic tone.


    She just nodded.


    "Good . I have some things to tell youter." he added. His eyes are like half slits.


    She saw his mouth formed a thin line when he looked at their table. His eyes seem to be searching for


    something. After a few more seconds, he turned his back without saying anything anymore.


    When he was out of earshot, ke with a frown, asked. "You work for him?"


    She chewed the bottom of her lip then nodded at him. He sighed heavily and his frowned deepened as


    he leaned his back on his seat.

    He can''t help gritting his teeth. Stacey isn''t bringing her purse . That exins why she isn''t answering


    his calls.


    "Simmer down babe." Tanya told him with a big smile "You are being too obvious." she added.


    Tanya is his first lover. She is Billy''s cousin. He is three years her junior. When he was in high school,


    he fantasized about her due to teenage hormones. Tanya used to spend summer vacations at Billy''s


    house. He used to peek from behind the shrubs around the pool when she is swimming or sunbathing.

    He didn''t reply. He just let her touch his face. He is trying very hard to cool down and they have to keep


    it low because he is afraid that Stacey will hear them.


    He threw them a nce. Their table is on the right side of theirs. He muttered a very bad word when he


    saw that the bar owner is leaning towards her. His elbows are on the table. They seem to be talking


    about something serious. He balled his fists and was about to stand up but Tanya stopped him.


    "Hush babe! Don''t let your anger get the better of you. Listen to me babe..I have a n..." she said


    huskily as she looks seductively at him.
