Chapter 32
(Stacey)
She is drawing some designs when Cherry pulled a chair and sat next to her.
"Stacey can I ask you a question?" she heard her asked and she just nodded while continuing what
she''s doing.
"I am really curious. How many boyfriends have you had? "
Without looking at her, she answered." I never had a boyfriend. " She threw the secretary a nce.
"Get out of here! You are too gorgeous! No boyfriend since birth? Bah! " Cherry said to her with her
eyes wide in disbelief.
"I am telling you the truth." she said matter-of-factly with a small smile then continued drawing.
"No way! That is really unbelievable! If I were in your shoes, I would probably have a lot of rich and
good-looking boyfriend! Geez louise Stacey ! Don''t let your beauty go to waste!" Cherry said which
made herugh quietly before she raised her face to look at her again.
"Hold on! I have a bright idea ! Let me introduce you to someone! He''s single and works at an IT
"Aren''t you supposed to be working Miss Mendez?!" an authoritative voice asked.
Both she and Cherry looked up and saw Nick''s angry face. She stopped herself from rolling her eyes.
Monster boss strikes again. She just went back drawing. It''s better for her to just ignore him.
"Sorry sir. I was just having a 5-minute break." She heard Cherry say to him as she pulled the chair
back to her own table.
"Miss Ledesma! Gather your things! We''ll go to one of my auto-detailing shops and the new site where
they are constructing a new building! You will make the ad designs for them! I''ll wait for you at the
basement parking. Hurry up!" he ordered as he heads to the door.
She started organizing her things as soon as Nick''s back disappeared.
"Oh my God Stacey! You are really special! This is the first time sir PTEF will do such a thing!" Cherry
giddily whispered but loud enough for her to hear.
"Do what?" she asked the secretary before getting her backpack to put the stuff she needs. She is
ready to go.
But Cherry hurriedly walked to her and stopped her from following Nick by her hand on her forearm.
She leaned closer to her and said, " FYI, sir PTEF never goes to his shops or siteswith the graphic
designer . He just orders thepany driver to bring her or him there. And now he is going with you?!
Tsk! Well actually I am not surprised because like sir Billy, sir Nick probably finds you very very pretty!
And you may not be his woman as you said which I still doubt, but I am sure you will be a couple really
soon! You are perfect for each other! "
She rolled her eyes at her and said, " Cherry your imagination is getting wild. He is my sister''s
boyfriend that''s probably the reason why he will go with me today. It is going to be easier for both of us
if he can exin to me what designs he likes in detail as I check the ces. He doesn''t want my sister
to think that he is giving me a hard time at work. That''s all! I have to leave now . Talk to youter."

She went out of the elevator and saw a white BMW 435i Gran Coupe which is parked a few meters
away. The chauffeur saw her then approached her to get her backpack .
"Thanks but it''s okay. This is just very light. " she told him with a small smile.
"My name is Norman mam. Let me take it. " the driver who is probably in his 40s insisted so she had no
choice but to give her bag to him.
"This way mam." he politely said as he led her to the car.
"Please just call me Stacey. " she said with a smile. Norman smiled back and bowed his head before
he opened the back door for her.
Her forehead creased when she saw Nick . He just looked at her but didn''t say anything when she got
in. She is grateful that at least he doesn''t seem to be in a foul mood though he has a serious
expression. She almost flinched when he leaned forward to her.
"Buckle up!" He reached for her seat belt and fastened it.
She stopped herself from raising one of her brows. She is not used to him acting like a gentleman. She
just said thank you before turning her head to look out the window. She wants to hide her expression
from him. She felt a tingling sensation when his hand identally touched herp when he adjusted
her seat belt. She told herself that she was just surprised by his chivalry. It was really unexpected.
During the drive, he told her about his businesses and shops and the designs he wants for each of
them. Now it is fully sinking in. Mr. Grumpy is filthy rich. Heather will really not let him go. She felt a little
pain somewhere in her heart when she thought about that. She bit her bottom lip. She has to be honest
to herself at least. She finds PTEF very attractive.
He is not the man for me. I should just stick to Derick. Anyway I already feel something for him. But I
should be extra careful. Nick Alcantara is dangerously attractive and from the looks of it, can be very
persuasive. I shouldn''t forget that he is Heather''s boyfriend. She thought.
She discovered that when ites to work, Nick is really serious. They went to his biggest auto-
detailing shops and one new site for his other businesses . His auto-detailing shop itself seems to be
really sessful and she has a feeling that his other businesses are also doing very well. They spent
the whole morning going around. Nick is really loaded and with his money and status, she is curious
why he doesn''t have a bodyguard. She will ask Cherry about thatter.
It was almost 1 PM when they were finally done.
Like earlier, he fastened her seat belt. She tried to stop herself from feeling anything when his hand
came in contact with her arm.
"Where do you want to eat lunch? Choose a restaurant. ''" he suddenly asked after he straightened his
back .
She felt stupid just staring at him because of his unexpected question. He is also looking at her. She
lowered her eyes to her hands on herp. She can''t hold the stare. She didn''t see that Nick''s brows
knitted when his eyes went to her hands. She is not wearing the bracelet from Derick.
"I''ll just eat at the office." she murmured without looking at him.
"Okay. I''ll call delivery. " she heard him say.
She bit her bottom lip when she heard what he ordered. She wonders if he eats ordinary food. With his
money, he can dine at the finest restaurants or hotels anytime.

"This day is really full of surprises! A lot of firsts happened since this morning! Do you know that our
yummy boss had never eaten lunch with us until now?! And the food! Oh my God! It''s my first time to
taste such wonderful dishes! I don''t even know most of them!" Cherry said with a giggle.
She hid her disappointment with a small smile. She thought Nick ordered food for the two of them and
they will eat together in his private office. But they had lunch in the office''s big pantry. He ordered a lot
of Mediterranean food. They ate with all of his staff. Another thing she discovered about him is he is a
very generous boss. Therge pantry is loaded with food and the staff can help themselves to the
snacks and beverages.
And ording to Cherry, Nick''s family owns the ten-story building. Two floors are used by Nick. In total,
he has 25 staff including her. Since he just left to meet a client, Stacey is more rxed. She feels on
the edge when she knows he is in the office.
"Our boss is really very rich. He has almost everything. No wonder the number of the PTEF members
is increasing! " Cherry said with a heavy sigh.
She remembered to ask her why Nick doesn''t have bodyguards.

"He doesn''t need one. I know he has a ck belt in judo or karate . And he said since he doesn''t do
any illegal dealings, he need not worry about anything. Besides he can defend himself from anyone,
anytime , anywhere." Cherry exined.
It was her turn to sigh. She is discovering so many good things about Nick. He is really a good catch.
He has bad points but nobody''s perfect anyway. Heather is really lucky. She scolded herself for having
such thoughts.
She just focused on doing her tasks the rest of the afternoon. She is not sure though if she should feel
happy or a bit disappointed when Nick didn''t go back to the office. She looked at the clock. 5 PM.
Cherry happily told her she will go ahead because she has a date. She just nodded. After 10 more
minutes, she decided to go home with a heavy feeling.
She was surprised to see ke standing next to his Honda CBR1000RR with his arms across his
chest. She remembered Derick with his cruiser. But unlike Derick, ke is not wearing leather jacket.
He has a ck sweater on with ck jeans. He looks hot. He straightened when he saw her car.
She opened her car''s window. She smiled at him.
"Miss Hotness!" he smiled back at her.
"Why are you here? Let''s go inside the house. " she suggested.
"Your mom left a few minutes ago with her friends. She told me to wait for you inside but I said I''ll just
wait here. Actually I want to invite you. Miss Hotness, will you have dinner with me?" he asked with that
wonderful smile of his.
She moistened her lips. She checked the time. Nick said that she is not supposed to go out at night but
it''s still early. It''s only 6 PM. And she feels that there''s nothing wrong if she dines out with ke. She is
not bar-hopping or partying. And in case of Derick, ke is a friend so she is not also going against his
will. She will just eat dinner with a friend.
She finally nodded at him and his smile widened. "I''ll just get the car in the garage." she told him.

She almost covered her ears when Amy , after closing the big gate came to her excitedly.
"Miss pretty!! And who is that very good-looking guy outside? I am so jealous! You have all these
handsome men around you! Sir Tyler , Sir Nick and that one out there!"
"Shhh! Keep it low Amy! He might hear you. That''s ke. Eve''s cousin. " she told the help before
ncing at ke who is patiently waiting outside.
"Oh! He was the one on the phone the other day. Well he is hot too! But in my opinion Miss Pretty, sir
Nick is hotter! He looked so good even when almost half of his face was covered with a wound
dressing . He''s not only hot it seems that he is very rich too! I like him more for you Miss Pretty! You
look perfect together! A match made in heaven indeed!" Amy said with a wink.
"Stop saying that Amy! He is Heather''s boyfriend. Close the door as soon as I got out. " she told her as
she walks to go outside.
"Hold on Miss Pretty!!" Amy stopped her with her hand on her wrist." I don''t think they are a couple.
Last time he was here, I saw that it was your sister who almost threw herself at him. Sir Nick didn''t
seem to like it! He also left a minutes after you and sir Tyler left the house. " Amy revealed which made
her frown.
That seems unlikely buting from Amy, it could be true. She chose not toment to what she said
instead, she just got out of the garage to go to ke.
"Let''s go Miss Hotness. " ke said with a grin and she just nodded. "This is Eve''s. Wear this. " he said
before gently putting the pink helmet on her.

He is in a bad mood because he wasn''t able to go back to his office to see Stacey before the end of the
office hours. He wanted to see her so he nned to go to her house and ask her out for dinner. He can
make an excuse that it''s about work. He just needs to be with her. But he had to go home first after his
meeting with his client to change into a more casual wear. He also changed his car minus his driver. He
is pissed with himself. He should have called or messaged her first because if he did, she won''t be
doing this.
"Fucking hell!" he angrily muttered.
She is on the back of a big bike with her hands on the shoulder of an assh*le. He banged his fists on
the steering wheel. His breathing became ragged as he tried hard to control his fury. He will follow them
and he will deal with the d*ckhead Stacey is with.
