“So… Robert and I are still considered married?!”
#Finished
Elisa was he confused after learing Robert mention their rtionship status. Of course, as much as she wanted to cooperate with the agreement, it seemed Robert alone wouldn’t like her.
Upon seeing Anna’s reaction, who was astounded, Elisa waved her hand.
“I mean, please don’t mind it. Anyway, you know how cold he was to me,” Elisa added.
“I am hoping you can still have more children with my son,” Anna replied, somewhat saddened. “Don’t tell me he had said something? Tell me, what is it?”
Elisa was stunned, opened her mouth, and was about to admit. Still, she was terrified that Anna would storm into Robert’s room and scold him for admitting the truth..
“You know how much he wanted a divorce, so….”
As soon as Elisa mentioned it. Anna’s eyes widened in astonishment. It was what she was expecting.
“So he said that? Oh,e on, I won’t let you and my son reach that part,” Anna replied and was too confident about it. “We all anticipate this to happen. I knew him well as a mother. I knew someday, everything would have a different turn.”
With high hopes, Anna thought of ns in her mind. She wanted their marriage to be intact and as is in the future. She wouldn’t let Robert bring another woman and wanted Elisa to be the only woman he could get pregnant with.
Hopefully, Elisa will get pregnant soon before they get divorced.
Even if Robert was too cold with Elisa, Anna could sense something-
She blinked twice and looked at Elisa, who had been observing her.
“Elisa,” Anna began as she held Elisa’s hand and let her sit beside her on the couch. “I know you know how cold he was. Even to me, his grandpa, and you. At least, even though he was cold, we still didn’t see any woman out there he brought here inside.”
Anna continued, “What’s ridiculous is that people who don’t even know him well think he’s a good person. They don’t know how he has a lot of ws. He didn’t even treat you well as a wife.”
“Because it’s not his will to marry me, Elisa pointed out.
“Yep. I know. But you both are still married. At least he should try it out, and if it doesn’t work, then maybe in the future it will,” Anna said, wanting their rtionship to create some spark.
“What if it still doesn’t work? Why won’t we get a divorce? I mean, Robert might need having a different woman than having me instead, Elisa tried to reason out.
“You overthink much. That won’t happen, Anna replied, smirked, and added, “Oh, one more thing. Even if your husband is too cold for you, he still has a warm heart. He is good at business and everything he has You’re the most lucky woman to have him.”

Lucky? I don’t consider meeting Robert and getting married to him as lucky. It’s bad luck.
But-
Elisa was about to tell Anna the harsh reality of Robert and her marriage, but Anna interjected.

“Come on, no more doubts, Elisa, Please give it a try and wait for what I am telling you toe true,” said Anna, tapping Elisa’s shoulder.
As much as Elisa wanted to argue, wanting Anna to realize she was not that ambitious woman who dreamed of being one of the clite, didn’t dream of having a rich, cold husband like Robert, as all she wanted was a good, simple life with her mother. She didn’t want aplicated life like what she had.
Speaking of her mother, she didn’t want to talk more about Robert and their rtionship. Her main focus was her mother, who needed an operation.
“Anyway, about my mother,” Elisa began to open.
“Hmm?” Anna raised an eyebrow,
“Well, Mom said she can go to the capital anytime soon, but then again, I don’t feel like I will let her be alone there,” Elisa rified. I meant that I want to be by her side during surgery!
“That’s not a problem,” Anna replied, smiling at her. “When I’m back in the capital, you can apany me if you want.
“Are you sure?” Elisa still couldn’t believe it.
Anna nodded. “Yeah. So, in that case, you can easily visit her after the surgery. I’m sure it won’t be so quick, and you will have to undergo anotherprehensive examination to see if everything is fine with your health as well.”
Elisa nodded and was thankful that she easily agreed without questioning her further.
As time passed, it was already seven in the evening.
The maids in the kitchen were busy serving all the dishes they had cooked for them, while John, including Robert, Elisa, and Anna, was already on the table.
However, Elisa was still standing at the side and decided to sit next to John, scared to sit next to Robert.
“Elisa, sit next to Robert, John pointed to the empty chair on the side just for her. “You’re his wife. Why do you seem scared to sit next to him?”
Robert could feel it.
However, Elisa waved her hand and forced a smile.
“I’m not, Elisa lied and sat on the empty chair beside Robert.
“Better,” said John and was relieved to see them seated. “Since we’re here and all foods are served, let’s eat
now.”
Elisa ate the chicken soup served but halted as soon as she saw Robert’s cold demeanor on his side.

She paused, staring at him. Robert was in a rage and didn’t dare to try to taste the chicken soup served to him.
“Hmm, you don’t like chicken?” John, out of the blue, broke the silence between them.
Robert didn’t respond. His eyes lowered on the food.
“If you don’t, then whatever! You’re too picky!” John said.
John heaved a sigh. As soon as he looked at Elisa, he smiled and asked, “How does it taste?”
“It tastes good! I mean, very delicious, Grandpa!” Elisa replied. “I love this chicken that much.”
I told you. She would love it,” said Anna on the side.
Robert hated it soon after he realized Elisa did all she could to please his mother and grandpa. It was crystal clear on his end why they loved and valued her most.
This damn woman knows how to y. Damnit!
Before John could react further, Robert mmed his spoon and fork on his te, gathering all their
attention.
“Hey!” John was startled, coldly staring at him. “What are you doing?”
Robert disregarded John and focused on Elisa on his side.Original from N?velDrama.Org.
“Is…Is there something wrong?” Elisa asked, puzzled. Her voice already trembled in fear.
“You’re asking me what’s wrong?! It’s you!” Robert yelled. “Youplimented Grandpa as if you hadn’t tasted any chicken out there. I know why you are doing this!”
“I don’t know what you are talking about. What do you mean?” Elisa was puzzled.
“Don’t act as if you don’t know!” Robert clenched his fist. “You just want topliment Granda so he’ll favor you again! This is what you want, right?!”
“Robert! Can you calm down?!” Anna interjected. She was too embarrassed,
Elisa cleared her throat and added, “I am telling the truth. It is not only to tter or let Grandpa be in favor of me. Why don’t you taste it on your own?”
“You don’t need to exin!” Robert roared.
She was wronged again. She shook her head and said, “I need to. You got it wrong again.”
With that, Robert sighed and didn’t want to argue further.
I’m done.” Robert activated his wheelchair and turned. He wasn’t still far from the dinner table when he turned around, looking in Elisa’s direction. He said, “Elisa, after dinner, came into my room. Let’s talk about something important
“Important?” John mumbled, still too confused, staring at both Elisa and John.
On John’s side. Anna held his hand and caught his attention. “I et me handle this Grandna

“I know, but Elisa wille with me to our house near the airport, as tomorrow we will be back in the capital,” Anna exined, seeming thankful it was perfect timing so the two wouldn’t talk about divorce.
Robert didn’t stay further and continued to move his wheelchair until he faded from their sight.
Anna sighed. She looked at Elisa and reminded her, “After we eat, we will leave. Just don’t mind Robert.”
“Okay,” Elisa replied.
The three of them that Robert wanted to talk about were divorced. Well, that was what he wanted.
Later that time, they were done eating. As usual, Elisa and Anna leave and bid goodbye to John while John enters Robert’s room upstairs.
It should be Elisa to be there in the room, but Anna and John knew what they were doing.
As John wandered his gaze around, his eyes darted on Robert, who was sitting on theputer. He didn’t care who came inside.
“Robert,” John said, standing next to Robert. “Tell me. What do you still want to tell Elisa?”
“Still can’t get it?” Robert raised an eyebrow. “I want a divorce!”
