Julie Tan has waited for almost twenty minutes when the person she''s been waiting for finally
arrived.
She saw her following the restaurant''s waitress to her table. Once the woman was near her, she
stood up to show her respect towards her.
Despite the fact that she''s a distant cousin of the said woman on her maternal side, the woman is
no other than Katarina Cang.
The eldest daughter of Country P''s President.
"Older sister." Julie Tan rather greet in a very amiable tone, the very opposite of what she really felt
inside. Because truthfully, she was annoyed having to wait for her cousin for long.
Although annoyed, Julie Tan couldn''t hide the admiration she has for this cousin.
Aside from being doted upon by the Cang family, Katarina Cang was an academically achiever.
She owned her own fashion line, "The Katarina", which is a locally patronized clothing line as aside
from its unique designs, it promotes local raw products and employment for the people in Country P.
What''s more, Katarina is a high birth who is always seen strutting in high end fashion wear
emitting the kind of confidence that even women like her would pause to take a clear look at her. In one

Katarina Cang nodded back at this distant cousin of hers then smiled softly.
"How are you? It was a short notice, allowing this older cousin to treat this lunch to make up for it
and my tardiness. There was a sudden trouble in mypany so I needed to be on a call with my vice-
president earlier."
"No. No. It''s no problem. I was even d that you invited me out."
There was a hint of frustration in Julie Tan''s voice. Since this cousin lives in the upper echelon of
society, then it''s no problem if she, the smart Julie Tan, would use her resources very well.
Katarina Cang slowly sipped on the ss of water, exuding her sophisticated temperament. She
stared at this distant cousin and slowly started,
"Last night, I attended a fundraising event organized by Li Madam. Aunt Vanessa was there... and
she came with a woman. I think her name is Veronica? Well it sounded familiar at first then I realized,
wasn''t that the same woman you told me years ago? Anyway, what happened? I thought Rawlf would
be my brother inw? Why is it that aunt Vanessa introduced her as Rawlf''s fiance? Tell sister,
what happened?" Katarina Cang said in a soft manner. It''s like she''s a mother trying to coax her
daughter.
Julie Tan had always been a careful person. Too careful and too paranoid that she would only
choose the people she would share some of her personal secrets. Katarina Cang, her oldest distant
cousin is strangely, one of those people she shared one of her secrets, and that is, her passion for Sy
International''s Rawlf Sy.
Julie Tan took a careful look at Katarina Cang and seeing the sincerity in her eyes, clear eyes
without any hint of maliciousness, her mood brightened a little.
"Sister, I think I no longer stand a chance." Julie Tan said in frustration and helplessness.
"I don''t know, maybe they were destined for each other that despite the separation between them
years ago, they still end up finding each other. They even have offspring."
Katarina Cang''s face changed faster than Julie Tan''s ability to distinguish it.
"Didn''t I tell you before not to carelessly talk about what happened years ago? You might put
yourself in danger if someone hears you. The walls have ears, always remember that." Katarina
warned her but with a rather soft voice.
Julie Tan''s face then changed inexplicably upon realization, then she nodded her head. "I''m sorry
sister. I was just frustrated so I lost it. It won''t happen again."
"Good girl", Katarina Cang then softly touched Julie Tan''s trembling hand on the table.
