Introduction: Twisted Scales. It can mean many things, and in this case, it does. Corruk is a mostly average sob story of the Ruhm Republic. He doesn't know his parents, he was abandoned in a slummy orphanage, and he began working from an extremely young age.But he does have one thing that sets him apart. He is a Cursed One, among those cursed by the creator deity of his species, the Ancestral Dragon. He never was told why he was born Cursed, just that he should be ashamed of himself because of it. For the most part, he believes them. With his abysmal luck that puts him at risk of death nearly every single day, Corruk has little to look forward to in life.And now, only three weeks away from his maturation at sixteen years of age, his carefully controlled chaos seems to be spiraling out of control. He doesn't know why or how the world is out to get him, but he does know that one way or another, it's ending soon.[+]  Weak to strong progression, kinda slow though.[+]  Sarcastic MC.[+]  Descriptive gore at times, probably not enough to get queasy?[+]  For the first half of the first book, the MC won't have pretty much any ability and will have to get creative.[+]  In the long term, Mc will be doing "Empire Building". He will have a "Family".[+]  Will be in different POVs, but generally limited to specific characters.[+]  3rd person limited.[+]  MC will never be all powerful, but will eventually get powerful enough that only the strongest can challenge him. Godlike power.[+]  If you don't like stories where important or lovable characters die, be warned.[+]  The main antagonists aren't really capable of being defeated, but there will be plenty of antagonists and arcs.[+]  MC will have a mildly cheesy goal.[+]  While this isn't for a while at the moment, I plan for Final Destination type deaths.
