Chapter 29: Would You Fall in Love with Wayne


    I did not notice the sound from the door. I turned off the hands free and said," Merlin, It is the best way


    to revenge on Simona and Geoffrey by sleeping with Wayne. Geoffrey have to call me sister inw if


    I''m married with Wayne. The method can absolutely make me feeling relieved."


    Outside the door, the slightly opened door was closed again quietly. I heard the indistinct sound of


    steps this time!


    I got off from the bed with doubt. I opened the door and had a nce at outside. There was nobody in


    the corridor.


    On the other side of the phone, Merlin said" Hello" for several times since I suddenly stopped talking. I

    I hung up the phone after chatting with Merlin about something unimportant for a while.


    Covered by the quilt, I had a long sleep that I did not know how long it was, but there was no sound at


    all around the bed. I opened my sleepy eyes and read the time.


    It was about 2 o''clock. Was Wayne still working in the study?


    I turned on the light, wore the slippers and walked to the Wayne''s study.


    It was quiet in the vi. I pushed the door of the study gently but there was no one in there.


    I squinted and robbed my eyes. Then I checked the room carefully again and I was sure that Wayne


    was not in the study.


    It was sote. Where would he been?


    I turned around. A man dragged behind me suddenly when I was just taking one step. I was dragged to


    fall on the sofa in the study when I did not realize what was happening.


    Under the gloomy light, I saw the face of Wayne.


    He stared at me with a cold sight. It seemed his dark eyes were rimed. There was no soft kindness in


    his eyes but indifferent and angry.

    "Lydia, I really had not understood you clearly..." He pinched my chin and said with a cold-hearted tone.


    He was strong and had no mercy on pinching me. I stopped breathing at a moment.


    "Wayne, you drunk?" I smelled a fragrance of vodka from his body. It was even stronger in his mouth.


    I did not know how much he drank, but it could be told that he drank a lot from his drunk appearance.

    He raised up, stared me with a cold sight then turned around and left.


    I went back to my room with a stunned face and sat on the bed for a long while. There was always a


    feeling of sleepwalking tile I felt the pain from my mouth. Then I was sure, what happened just now was


    real!


    I waited for long but he did not back to the room. Then I fell asleep somehow...


    Next day,


    When I got up, Wayne had already sat downstairs for breakfast . After I said good morning, I went to


    the kitchen to heat a ss of milk.


    During the whole breakfast, I could not eat anything. I wanted to talk with Wayne but he went to the


    study when I had not got the chance to say anything. He ignored me.


    I could not figure out how I offended him that made him feeling suffocated and gave me his cold


    shoulder.


    When I was thinking long and hard, the doorbell rang!
