Anyway; although Into the Abyss is set in the same world - and the title shamelessly stolen from the same quote - this story is ultimately my own spin on what would happen if someone from our world was suddenly dropped into the world of Pallimustus with a unique cast of characters.You can still enjoy and understand Into the Abyss even if you have never read the original series. Alexander Drake wakes up, disoriented and confused, in the heart of a snow-covered forest, a world with two moons, magic, and monsters. Exposed to the elements, he encounters aggressively angry rabbits, kidnappers, and mad scientists willing to do anything to further their research. When it feels like all hope is lost, Alex awakens some magic powers of his own. Hopefully, the extra voice he now hears in his head wont cause problems for him in the future.
