THREE DAYS LATER….


    La looked outside the window as she enjoyed the quiet ride. Today was the day they were to go to the pack finally.


    She had bid farewell to Aurora and Xander, as Xander had to stay back to take care of thepany.


    She felt sad leaving, but Xander had promised her that he would be Aurora along whenever he came visiting.


    She also cleared the air with Regan and apologized for not calling that night. She told him that she would be away for a very long time but would endeavor to call him from time to time.


    The car pulled up in front of a big mansion, the very mansion she came to after the day Nn marked her.


    A guard stepped forward to open the car door and La climbed down, another doing the same for Nn.


    “Your highness..” they bowed, their head facing the ground as they dared not look at his face.


    La then remembered that he was still the old, cold Nn, whom everyone feared as those icy blue eyes of his could send cold chills down a person’s spine.


    Therge door was opened wide and they both walked in. They were still not on talking terms as Nn gave her the space she had asked for.


    He stayed away from her and only asked after her health from time to time and he also reminded her to take her medicines.


    They walked into the huge mansion, which was also known as the king’s pce. A long line of maids and guards were seen there as they all bowed their heads in respect to the king.


    “La!!” She heard someone squeal happily and before she could even say anything, she was already held in a tight hug.


    “Keisha..” she called happily as she hugged her back. Keisha was another good friend she made. Though she never called her when she was away as she did not have her contact.Property ? 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.


    “Oh my God La, I’m so happy to see you..” she fawned while still hugging La.


    “Oh I’m sorry forgive my manners, your highness ” she curtsied before La who waved her off.


    “Please stop that..” she smiled as Keisha hugged her again.


    “I’m so happy you’re here now. Don’t worry I’ll help you with everything you need to know and don’t forget that you also have to rest, now you’re pregnant..” she announced happily as La chuckled sheepishly. The news had already spread.


    “Hi Nn, wee back..” she waved at Nn who had been standing beside La and he just nodded at her.


    “Wee home. Your highness..” a blonde man bowed before La. She didn’t know him much but he remembered seeing him thest time she came here.


    “Let me introduce you guys properly..” Keisha said as she held Darren’s arm.


    “La, this is Darren, my lovely mate and Nn’s Beta. And Darren this is La.. ” she introduced.


    “Hi, nice to meet you..”


    “Same here your highness” he bowed as he held a serious expression on his handsome face.


    “Don’t mind him, he’s the serious one..” Keisha whispered to La.


    “But trust me he’s very nice..” she added.


    “Wee back..” Darren bowed before Nn.


    “Keisha take La inside, I have something to discuss with Darren..” Nn spoke for the first time.


    “On it, Lae on now..” she held La’s arm as she led her away, while Nn and Darren left for his study.

    “So this is you and Nn’s room, you’ll be staying here” Keisha informed as she took La to her and Nn’s room.


    “I see..” La stated. She remembered sleeping here when she visited the pack before.


    She couldn’t help but wonder how she would cope sharing a room with Nn.


    “The maids will bring your bags shortly..” She also informed La.


    “Okay thanks..”


    “You’re wee. I’m so happy for you La…” Keisha began as they both sat on the couch.


    “You need to see how happy I was when I heard the news of your pregnancy. I was so delighted. In fact the whole pack rejoiced and I’m nning on setting up a wee party for you..” she stated happily.


    “Don’t you think that’s too soon?” La queried.


    “Not at all La. It’s just a party. I’ll ask for Nn’s permission first, then I’ll arrange for it..” she replied.


    “By the way, there’s lots of things you need to know about this pack and I’ll teach you about all of that..” Keisha volunteered as La smiled brightly.


    She really appreciated the warm wee she was getting from them. It made her feel weed. But there was someone she was yet to see.


    “But now. You’ll have to get some rest. Seeing that you’ve been traveling for a long time. Tomorrow, I’ll take you on a tour round the pce..” Keisha volunteered and La couldn’t help but appreciate her kindness.


    “Thanks Keisha. you’re a sweetheart….” La said as they both hugged each other.


    “I really appreciate your kindness towards me and I’m so happy to know that you’re willing to help..” La voiced out.


    “This is the little I can do La..” Keisha began as she held La’s hands.


    “You see, I just want Nn to be happy and he can only be happy if you’re safe..”


    “Nn has been my best friend right from childhood and I can assure that he was not always like this. He used to be very cheerful but until the day he lost everyone that mattered to him..” Keisha pointed out.


    “What happened?” La queried In a low voice. She knew that his first mate died. But she didn’t know that he lost someone else.


    Come to think of it, she had never met his family nor has anyone ever talked about them. She didn’t even know If he had one.


    “A war broke out some time ago and it cost the lives of many. He lost his parents, sister and mate. After that he became so cold to everyone. He was just eighteen then when this happened. We were the only family he had before you came into his life, La. I, Darren, Xander and Ca”


    “He was alone and preferred to be alone. I’m just happy that he found you, his second chance mate and now he’s having a baby. Nn can finally have the family he’s always yearned for..” Keisha concluded as La just remained quiet.


    She knew how painful it felt to lose one’s family, she wondered how he must have felt then.


    “I didn’t know about this..” La muttered.


    “They’re lots of secrets you’re yet to know La”
