“Stupid asshole!!” Ca cursed under her breath as she made her way out of thepany.


    Not only was shepletely ignored by Nn, she was also insulted by Xander and that was something she was not going to take.


    “Please where can I find La, La Markos?” She heard someone ask and she stopped in her tracks.


    It wasn’t that fact that someone was asking after La that pinned her interest, it was the surname.


    La just came to New York so whoever was that, knew La well enough to know her surname.


    She turned to see ady dressed extravagantly with a lot of makeup on her face.


    Curiosity got the best of her as she approached thedy.


    “Hi…” she waved at her.


    “How can I help you?” Scarlet asked with a frown on her face.


    “I’m Ca..” she introduced herself.


    “So what do you want me to do about it?” Scarlet asked rudely and Ca clenched her fist.

    “I see you’re looking for La?” She pointed out swallowing her pride.


    “Yes I am. Do you know which unit she works?” Scarlet questioned, it seemed as if she’d already met someone that knew La.


    “Yes. But you see La is not in work at the moment” she responded with a fake smile on her face. From her hunch, thedy knew La well enough.


    “Oh I see..” scarlet mumbled, shaking her head momentarily. She just came here for nothing.


    “I’m scarlet…” She introduced herself and they exchanged handshakes.


    “Please can you tell me where she works? I’lle some other time..” scarlet requested and Ca took a good look at her.


    “If I may ask why are you looking for La, you can just give her a phone call..” Ca said.


    “Well I’d love to but I don’t have her contact number. She thinks she can run forever” scarlet scoffed in sarcasm and Ca became interested more than ever.


    “Um…scarlet” she began.


    “I think we should go away from here, maybe we can talk..” she offered.


    Scarlet took a long look at her before she finally agreed. ” Okay where do you want to talk?” She asked.


    “There’s a restaurant near here, we can talk there.” Ca informed and they both walked out of thepany.

    “So what do you want to talk about?” Scarlet asked as they both settled down in the restaurant they had gone to.


    “La of course..” Ca began.


    “I mean you seem to know her a lot. While I know nothing about her. She just arrived in New York like someone that doesn’t have a past. So I’m just curious, that’s all..” Ca smiled as scarlet shook her head slowly.


    “Well I guess you met the right person. I know everything about La. I’m her stepsister..” scarlet informed. She didn’t care who she was speaking with and what position she held, the only thing she cared for was shaming La.


    “Step sister?” Ca gasped. She never expected La to have a sister, not to talk of a stepsister.


    “Yes. Step sister”


    “You see La led a very loose life back in Seattle and she was disowned from home” scarlet began as her lips curved up wickedly.


    “Disowned!” Ca eximed in shock. So the nice and quiet La was actually disowned because she was wayward.


    Today was a good day for her after all! She just heard the biggest news of the season.


    “Yes disowned”


    “And do you know why she was disowned?” Scarlet asked and Ca shook her head.


    “Because she was pregnant!” Scarlet voiced out in a cold steel voice and Ca’s jaw dropped.


    “Pre.. gna.. nt!!” She stammered. Surprise and happiness bubbling up within her.


    She couldn’t be any more happier.


    “Yes, pregnant. Apparently La doesn’t know who the father of her child is. That’s why she left him. Because she couldn’t stand the humiliation”


    “You don’t mean it!” Ca eximed as she immediately burst outughing.


    “I’m so happy!” She announced happily. This was the best news ever. La was pregnant with another man’s baby. There was no way Nn would agree to raise another man’s child.


    “Wait, are you sure she’s still pregnant?” Ca asked. She wanted to be sure if La was still pregnant or if she aborted the pregnancy.


    “Yes she is,” Scarlet confirmed. The La she knew, in whatever situation she found herself, she would never hurt a fly.


    “Wow!!” Ca felt a wave of excitement washing through her.


    La was pregnant with another man’s baby.


    “You seem excited,” Scarlet reasoned.


    “Of course I am. I’ve been looking for a way to get La out of my life and I’ve finally seen a way..” she announced happily.


    No doubt Nn would throw her out the moment he discovered she was carrying another man’s baby.


    “Oh geez. Seems like she already made enemies..” scarlet muttered.


    “Of course yes. She wanted to steal what’s mine.” Ca rolled her eyes.


    “Let me guess it’s a man right?” Scarlet asked.


    “Yes it is,” Ca confirmed.


    “I knew it. She has a knack for taking what doesn’t belong to her. That’s who La is..” scarlet uttered in pure sarcasm.


    “You know what, I don’t care what you guys have with each other, but what I know about is that this is very good news, I can’t wait to share!” Ca said, sitting up from the chair.


    “Thank you so much scarlet for this great news!”


    “Here’s my card..” she handed over a card to scarlet.

    “Woah!!” She eximed happily, raising her hands in the air before she got into her car.
