The atmosphere was suddenly frozen under Katherine''s vicious expression.
"Katherine, you must have misunderstood us," Ethan smiled apologetically, "Miss Wood is our guest,
not a pianist."
Katherine sized Adriana up judgmentally, "Miss Wood? Who are you? Do we even know each other?"
Her words humiliated Adriana undoubtedly.
The guests in the Louise Group''s banquet were either noble or rich, but there were also some people
who managed to sneak in to get to know the powerful and rich.

Adriana walked down the stage and hurried over to Richard, saying: "Richard, you''re finally here."
"What''s happened?" Richard frowned slightly. His voice sounded emotionless.
Before Adriana could say a word, Katherine directly asked Richard, "Mr. Zellweger, who is she?"
Just as Richard was about to introduce Adriana, his face suddenly darkened.
In the crowd on the right, a gracefuldy was pulling a young woman as they rushed over.

Pearl''d been ying chess with Enrique and was surrounded by many elders of the Louise family. She
had been taught chess by her father, Anthony, since she was young and had even won the National
Chess Competition in middle school.
Before they could finish their game, she was pulled away by Victoria in a hurry. As soon as they went
downstairs, they saw such a hostile scene.

"It''s all just a misunderstanding. Since Miss Wood has a fiance like you, I think it''d be impossible for her
to be unaware of her deeds and words in such a situation, isn''t it?"
Katherine''s words almost made Adriana''s blood boil with anger. "Richard, I didn''t do anything." Her
voice was as soft as a mosquito''s while exining timidly.
"Enough." Richard nced at the man behind Katherine and recognised him as the famous youngest
son of the Louise family.
Hence, Richard immediately understood what was going on. Adriana had no choice but to shut her
mouth in a grievance.

After the surrounding guests was disperse by the butler, only Adriana, Richard and some Louise family
members were left at the scene.
Richard''s gaze was fixed on Pearl all time.
She was wearing a dark gown with shoulder-length designs. Her delicate corbones were so attractive
that one could not move their eyes away from them. They were firmly grabbing the nces of every
man who walked past her.
"It''s your first time meet my brother, right, Mr. Zellweger?" Katherine introduced Ethan to Richard. "This
is my brother, Ethan. And that''s my sister-inw, Pearl."
Hearing the word ''sister-inw'', Richard frowned and suddenly stared at Ethan and Pearl.
While Pearl was in a daze, she felt an arm on her shoulder. Ethan then said: "Well, Pearl told me that
she knows Mr. Zellweger."
Katherine nced at Pearl in confusion, "You guys know each other?"
Ethan smiled, "Pearl and Miss Wood were best friends. Of course, she''d know Miss Wood''s fiancé,
right?"
As soon as he finished his words, the faces of Adriana and Richard turned a bit ugly.
Adriana was especially shocked when she heard Katherine called Pearl as her sister-inw. Was it
even possible?
How could she turn into Ethan''s wife all of a sudden?

Pearl looked at Richard with a decent smile and gracefully said: "We got married abroad without any
ceremonies."
Hearing this, Richard clenched his fists tightly.

smiled and said, "Although the ceremony wasn''t held, Pearl is the daughter-inw acknowledged by
our whole family. We will definitely hold a wedding ceremony in the future. We''ll invite you and Miss
