Chapter 82 nche''s Emotional Abuse
Chapter 82 nche''s Emotional Abuse
"Louis, are you just going to let nche go like this? I almost drowned!"
Cathy bit her lip in frustration, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Do I really get nothing in return for
being kicked into theke by nche? This is just too unfair," she thought to herself.
Louis indifferently nced at the wet Cathy, who kept moving closer to him. He took a step away
from her.
Cathy halted her movements and carefully stared at his handsome face. She fell in love with him
the moment she saw him.
But all her efforts seemed to go in vain.
"Louis."
Cathy''s voice was soft and sweet. If it were someone else, he would have been covered in
goosebumps. But Louis had no response and kept a poker face with cold eyes.
"Didn''t you see that I almost strangled her?"
"Louis, are you ming me? I understand. She is your wife, so you should be closer to her. I''ll stay
away from her in the future, so she won''t be able to harm me or make you angry."
"Why?" Cathy roared in her mind. Her hands trembled slightly. After all, Louis was bing more
and more indifferent to her.
"Go back to your room and change your clothes."
"Does he really just let nche go like that?" Cathy wondered, feeling extremely despondent.
"Okay."
As Cathy walked away, Sam approached Louis with concern.
"Mr. Herbart, something is wrong. We just received news that one of the two people doing bad
thingsst night escaped, and he might stillmit violence."
"You can''t even control them. What a loser!"
N?velDrama.Org owns this.
Sam lowered his head in embarrassment. "I will immediately send men to search for him."
After a while, Louis noticed that Sam had not moved yet. Instead, he looked at theke as if he had
something to say.
"What do you want to say? Say it."
"Is there a misunderstanding between Miss Bird and Mrs. Herbart regarding what happened just
now when Mrs. Herbart kicked her into theke? No one would run over for no reason and kick
someone into theke."
Hearing this, Louis cast a cold nce at Sam.
"Are you saying that I misunderstood nche?" Louis asked.
Sam got nervous. "No, I just feel like something doesn''t make sense."
Sam thought to himself that Louis easily got angry and lost control whenever it involved Mrs.
Herbart. Louis should think about it. After all, no one would be so bored to run over and kick
someone into theke for no reason. There must be something wrong.
By noon, nche had not returned to the hotel.
"Mr. Herbart, lunch is ready, but Mrs. Herbart is not back yet."
Louis, who was still at the top of the orchard, spotted nche wandering in the orchard. It seemed
like this woman wanted to live in the orchard.
"Go get her back," he instructed Sam.
Sam nodded and went, but not long after, Louis saw Sam returning alone.
"Mrs. Herbart said she''s not hungry and won''t have lunch."
Louis narrowed his deep eyes. "Not hungry? She usually eats more than anyone else. I guess she''s
still mad about what happened this morning. What right does she have to be angry?"
"It is dangerous for her to stay alone in the orchard. The person who ran away hasn''t been found
yet, and there are many trees in the orchard, so it''s easy to hide. And, I noticed that Mrs. Herbart''s
head seemed to be injured. She had wrapped it with a cloth."
Sam felt embarrassed. When he went to see Mrs. Herbart earlier, she did have a piece of cloth
wrapped around her head. She must have been injured.
"That''s enough. You can go." Louis waved his hand, signaling for Sam to leave.
Louis remained alone at the top of the orchard, loosening his tie. His sharp and handsome face
twitched slightly as he looked down at the woman moving in the orchard. He gritted his teeth in
anger.
The oranges for Ang had already been picked, and nche had just managed to call a car on
her phone. She could go back home by carter.
But before the car came to pick her up, she didn''t intend to go back to the hotel. Just seeing Louis,
that jerk, made her furious.
In the orchard, she could breathe some fresh air and feel better. nche sat under an orange tree,
adjusting the cloth wrapped around her head. She used it to prevent the wound from bleeding
again.
"nche, why don''t you go back for lunch?" The familiar annoying voice reached her ears. Louis
seemed like a demon emerging from hell. nche turned her head away, ignoring him.
Louis was momentarily stunned and pursed his thin lips. He personally came to call her for lunch. It
was a great respect, but she still ignored him.
Louis strode over to nche, staring at her round head and questioning her arrogantly.
"I''m asking you a question. Answer me!"
nche nced at his shiny ck shoes, still giving no reply.
A slight frown marred Louis''s bushy and dark eyebrows. nche was really pushing her luck.
nche stood up. Her watery eyes narrowed as she gave Louis a disdainful look. She picked up
her basket and walked away. Being under the same tree as him made her ufortable.
She decided that she would never answer him or talk to him again. "Why should I greet the person
who had just tried to strangle me? He has no right to make me smile and talk with him. After all, I
have my pride and dignity," she thought.
"nche, if you continue to ignore me, believe it or not, I will strangle you." Louis was boiling with
rage. He felt like he could really strangle nche to death in the next second. "Who does she think
she was? How dares she ignore me," he thought.
If it were someone else, he would have kicked him off a cliff.
nche showed no reaction to Louis''s threat. She calmly sat under another tree, still with a pout.
Every word from him annoyed her. She had risked her life to save him that day. She thought she
must be out of her mind at that time. She should have let his uncle deal with him. After all, he did
need a lesson.
nche took an orange from her basket. It was already peeled. She thought that she might as well
eat more oranges, get more vitamin C, and maintain her beauty.
Louis came to her, took a deep breath, and stared at nche as she stuffed the sweet orange into
her mouth. She enjoyed it much, but she didn''t give him a nce.
"Is nche trying to emotionally abuse me?" he wondered.
Louis tightly clenched his fist, snatching the orange from nche''s hand.
"Come back to the hotel with me. One of the two men escaped, and he''ll definitelye back to
attack you. This orchard has many ces for him to hide. Do you want to die?"
Louis had no idea why he was so patient at the moment. Despite nche''s indifference, he
managed to suppress his anger and exin the dangers to her.
This time, nche raised an eyebrow. She realized that because of her pretending to be Louis,
Wilburn must have seen her as his target for revenge.
That was why those men came to her roomst night. But nche still gave no reply. Her car would
arrive in twenty minutes. Then she could leave.
nche narrowed her beautiful eyes, turned her head away, and stared at the scenery on the other
side with her fair cheeks in her hands.
