Chapter 69 Going Crazy
Chapter 69 Going Crazy
"Forget it, I''m not going to transfer the money to you after all." nche suddenly put away her
phone.
"Have you finallye to your senses?"
"I think I should buy another identical bottle and give it back to you."
Louis'' hand hanging at the side of his trousers tightened. This woman was undoubtedly challenging
him.
Without noticing Louis'' expression, she continued in a jealous tone, "Who did you buy this perfume
for? Cathy? You''re so considerate that you even buy such small things for her."
"nche, if you have nothing useful to say, then don''t say anything. No one is treating you as a
mute," Louis finally snapped, unable to bear it any longer.
He forced nche back against the railing.
"What do you want?" nche asked nervously in the cramped space.
Louis raised his hand and gripped nche''s chin, his eyes shing with fire.
nche immediately raised her hand, trying to knock off his hand, but to no avail.
Her chin was lifted higher and higher until she had to stand on tiptoe. This uncontroble feeling
made nche lose herposure.
In his dark eyes, she saw a miniature version of herself, who looked like a pitiful clown.
"Do you remember that time at the bar, when we were ying dice? Are your legs not sore
anymore?"
His words ignited a familiar sense of shame and caused nche''s legs to tremble slightly.
She wanted to say something, but she found it difficult to speak in that posture.
As soon as she opened her mouth, it was like a fish blowing bubbles.
"Don''t talk to me like that again. Otherwise, I don''t mind ying the game with you again. If we do, I
won''t go easy on you," Louis warned, admitting that he had deliberately messed with her during
theirst game of dice.
nche felt as if she had been pped, her cheeks burning with embarrassment.
Their standoff was interrupted by a sudden noise from the side.
"Tsk-tsk, we were trying to sleep, and you two are having a secret rendezvous here. It''s so
stimting," Eric eximed, scrolling through the photos he had taken on his phone.
As soon as he spoke, the two pairs of eyes that could have killed him on the spot immediately shot
over to him, causing his hand to shake in fear.
"Sorry, I talk too much. Please continue, but let me observe and learn a bit about physiology."
nche''s face turned bright red. She stepped on Louis'' shoe, pulled his hand away from her chin,
and red at Eric.
"It''s not like you think. There''s something wrong with your eyes. Delete the photo."
Eric nced sideways at her. "nche... Are you shy?"
nche felt devastated. Was he blind?
The sneaky look in his eyes made him look like a moron. It was pointless to argue with him, so she
ran away.
"Delete the photo," Louis demanded, shooting him a warning look.
"Why? You''re finally in love with someone, and I will show the sweet photo to Grandma to prove to
her that her grandson isn''t in a sham marriage. He is really in love with his wife."
"Don''t talk nonsense."
"Am I? s, nche''s legs are really..."
Eric was about to say the word "white" when Louis pped his phone limited edition to the ground
and stepped on it with his leather-d foot.
"Come on, bro, do you really need to be so protective? I haven''t even finished speaking. I just
wanted to say that it looks like nche got bitten by a mosquito."
"I was just teaching her a lesson. You''re gossipy and want me to discipline you as well?"
Eric feigned curiosity. "Wow, my schrly brother, your choice of words is so refined. Discipline?
Were you disciplining her with your mouth? Your lips almost contacted. It''s shameful. In broad
daylight, couldn''t you find a more secluded ce... to discipline her?"
Louis couldn''t help but curse. "Fuck off!"
...
After returning to her room, nche patted her forehead, her face still burning with embarrassment.
If given the chance, she would definitely teach Eric a lesson.
"Bitch!"
Cathy cursed as she walked out of the opposite room and red at nche.
"You''re nothing but a whore, always trying to seduce Louis."
N?velDrama.Org owns this.
nche turned around, facing Cathy''s zing eyes.
Cathy had seen everything on the balcony. When Louis and nche were entwined together, she
itched to rush over and tear nche to pieces.
"Tsk, are you stupid or pretending to be? He''s my husband. Why would I need to seduce him? We
can be as affectionate as we want. Aren''t you his sister? Are you trying tomit the ultimate
taboo?"
nche fired back, feeling annoyed after being provoked by Eric and now being confronted by
Cathy.
The ultimate taboo?
Cathy gaped at nche, unable to believe her ears. A few secondster, she suddenly lunged at
nche, too angry to care about anything else.
"nche, I''ll kill you."
Quick as a sh, nche pushed open the door and mmed it shut.
In her frustration, Cathy kicked the door and yelped in pain.
nche tossed and turned in bed, letting out sighs.
nche was frustrated with herself for letting Louis control her on the balcony. She prided herself
on being fearless, but in Louis'' eyes, she only saw a clown, without any dignity or power.
She felt like a fool.
Unable to fall asleep, she got up and went downstairs.
In the courtyard, she saw an old man weaving baskets. She approached him and asked politely,
"Sir, what are all these baskets for?"
The old man looked up and saw nche pick up a basket to study.
"Miss, you''re from Mr. Herbart''spany, right? These baskets are for you guys to pick oranges
later."
nche was surprised. "Do we need so many of them?"
"Yes, all the oranges you pick will be bought by Mr. Herbart and sent to the welfare home in Cloud
City. It''s good to have more, so the children can have more fruit. Nowadays, there are few people
like Mr. Herbart who run such a bigpany and still care about welfare work," the old man
exined.
nche was amazed. It turned out Louis had a bit of a conscience.
"Sir, I''ll take one to pick oranges now."
Eric leaned over the balcony railing, wondering, "Where did nche go with a basket?"
Louis also looked down and saw her wearing an old straw hat, carrying a bamboo basket as she
walked toward the orchard. Soon, she arrived at the orchard, ced the basket down, and started
to pick oranges.
"It turns out she went to pick oranges. Look at her, moving like a machine. But the sunlight is getting
stronger. Isn''t she afraid of getting heatstroke?" Ericmented.
Louis bit his lower lip lightly, staring at the hustling figure in the orange grove.
"Who cares?" he said, turning and leaving the balcony. Out of sight, out of mind.
