Marquis Vrine''s Manor
In the dark of the night, two people can be seen sneaking inside the Manor. With their capabilities, it wasn''t hard for them to at least sneak inside and they hid in the garden, using the flowers to hide their bodies
"I can make sure that the guards and servants would not see you. However, you must make sure that the Marquis would be able to see your face" Ryden said quite coldly
Killing the Marchioness is not that hard. Ryden or even just Kervy has the ability to do so
Kervy don''t even need Ryden''s help to do this. And in fact, that is just an excuse
Clyde''s real goal was to let the Marquis that would survive this assassination see that his wife''s killer is Kervy
What Clyde wants is simple. By forcing Kervy to kill the Marchioness, he would lose the possibility of joining hands with Marquis and the Duke after the 1st Prince falls
Aside from the Marquis seeing Kervy''s face, they could not left behind anything that would point them out as the assassin
With the Marquis surviving, the Duchess and Duke of Rothland would surely be informed
However, without evidence, what can they do? Not to mention, they couldn''t possibly complaon about this matter to the Emperor and Empress
If the 1st Prince fell and would not be able to inherit the Throne, the Duke would be an awkward situation
He gave his support to the Empress'' side but one Prince can''t inherit the Throne and the other one would not receive his support
If that happens then everything that the Duke has done would all he for nothing. Not to mention, without having his child become the next Empress and they can''t even get close to the next Emperor, the Nobles that the Duke has stepped on in the past would surely avenge themselves
This assassination attempt seems simple but the butterfly effect was not to be underestimated
Since Clyde can think this far ahead then naturally, Kervy is also the same
If he wants to ascend the Throne and survive, clinging into Clyde and Ryden''s thigh is the only way to do that
"No need, I can do this on my own" Kervy replied. Since he was forced to complete side with his brother then he must do it perfectly
He must show his capabilities and that he was also serious in joining hands with them
Kervy might be much weaker compared to Ryden but his fighting prowess was also not to he underestimated
His figure moves like a phantom as he moved at a speed that prevents any of the Manor''s servants from catching sight of him
Ryden followed suit to make sure that Kervy will do the job properly
The Manor has many guards but since a Marquis is not someone to he trifled with, naturally, no assassination attempt has happened before
This causes the guards on duty to slack of. They are in their respective positiojs but they don''t really think that standing guard is necessary
That made it easier for Kervy to sneaked in. His nimble feet was used to climb into the Manor''s walls until he arrived at the window of the master''s bedroom
Since it was already deep in the night, the Marquis and his wife are naturally sleeping by now
They didn''t even know that danger is arriving at them soon
With a deep breath, Kervy entered the room and using the sword in his hand, he poke a hole in the Marchioness''s face
The omega instantly opened his eyes as he screamed pitifully. His scream was extremely loud but it didn''t last long as his life was taken away from him
Blood flowed out from his chest and mouth as he closes his eyes, his body soon turned lifeless
The Marchioness'' loud scream entered his husband''s ears causing the Marquis to instantly be awakened
The Marquis jolted in shock as he moved out of the bed while raising his guard
The first thing that he saw was a familiar Prince holding a sword that is impaled on his wife''s chest
Kervy pulled his sword back as his chilly eyes stared at the Marquis
Maybe because the Marquis just woke up and his mind was still not functioning properly or maybe because he cannot believe that the Prince would kill his wife as there is no reason to, he was not able to react that much
"Y-Your H-Highness..." the Marquis mumbled on extreme shock, thinking whether he is having a weird nightmare or not
Since Kervy already attained his goal of killing the Marchioness and also showing his face to the Marquis, he retreated using the same window as before
He came swiftly and retreated in the same manner. He did not bother staying even a single second longer

When Ryden returned to his manor, he immediately went straight to his and Clyde''s bedroom
He only felt relieved when he saw that Clyde was still in theirf bed and alive
The two assassination attempts in Clyde''s life has gave him quite the trauma. If not for the sake of their plans, Ryden wouldn''t even leave his wife''s side
"Boss, you returned!" David said and Ryden just nodded his head before telling his friend to return in his room first
"How is it?" Clyde asks when it was only the both of them that remained in the bedroom and Ryden nodded his head
"It was a success" Ryden said and Clyde nodded back
"I was too naive before, thinking that if we have even more money and earned a high position in the High Society, things would be safe. I seem to have forgotten just how vicious my stepmother is and I know that the Empress is of the same breed as him" Clyde said, regretting his past decisions
His original plan was to gain some status so that no one would touch them ever again
To do that, he planned on using the bar to make the Nobles like him. And if his business became extremely popular, the Nobles would try to earn his favor
That was the plan but the assassination attempts reminded him that things are not as simple
If Clyde were to decided on causing bloodshed right from the start then woth Ryden''s prowess, they would surely become untouchable
"It''s not your fault. I too only wanted to live peacefully but to earn that peace, we must be as vicious as the enemy" Ryden replied as he went into his wife''s side
"Our next move... can you do it?" Clyde asks and Ryden chuckled at him as if the man just said something silly
"Do you really think that I still have affections for my so-called family?" Ryden asks while chuckling
"Not having affections for them is different than killing your own blood relates brother" Clyde rebuked and Ryden shook his head
"In the past, before I was executed, I saw that bastard itching for my death. If I were to guess the reason why and what was in his mind back then, it would be that he is jealous of my power. He is thinking about how dare an illegitimate child like me have such power while he don''t" Ryden replied and indeed, their next move is to kill one of the Princes
In the past, the original plan was to continue smearing the 1st Prince''s name and make everyone think that he is incompetent
That was a lengthy process as while they do that, the Empress''s side would also retaliate by making the 1st Prince look like a heroic Prince
They could not let the 1st Prince become the Emperor as that bastard hates them. If there would be a next Emperor, it is better if it was Kervy
However, now that things escaleted into this, both Clyde and Ryden have a sense of urgency into gaining political power
As of right now, the Empress still hates them. Only if the 1st Prince fall and Kervy take his position and inform the Empress that Ryden is going to support his ascension would things be a bit safe
As such, the two can''t use the lenghty process of spreading rumors about the 1st Prince and they instead have to kill him for a faster result
"I just don''t want you to feel guilty and regret anything for the rest of your life" Clyde said
Since the plans was his, he would also feel guilty if Ryden realizes that killing his brother is too much
It''s just that the more time that passed, the more anxious Clyde is for being in their current situation and he wants to hastily change that
"I know myself, Clyde, I wouldn''t feel guilty even if I were to kill all my relatives.. Just who among them likes me? In fact, I''m sure that if they need to sacrifice me for power, they would do so without hesitation. With a family like that, what is there to feel guilty for?"
