"W-wait! T-timeout! I can''t run anymore!" Clyde cried out. How can his body possibly rival that of Ryden''s body?


    Ryden always fought and moved his body before and even after returning, he still made sure that his body is in the top condition


    As for Clyde, although he is not a glass that would break from the slightest bit of force, he still far pales in comparison to Ryden. Not to mention, he also does not have much time for exercise since he is always stumped with work


    After running for a few minutes at his top speed, Clyde does not have the energy to continue running anymore


    Fortunately, Ryden also stops dragging him since they already fled from Harley. Ryden can only hope that the spoiled brat will not be able to find them again


    "Sorry" Ryden apologizes. With how much he do not want for there to be another party that would take his wife''s time and attention for him, he forgot the state of Clyde''s body


    "Forget it, let''s just return to our inn. I''m tired now" Clyde said while trying to catch his breath


    The things that he did today were all physical work and aside from that, there are also the ''nightly activities''. Clyde''s body badly needed a rest now


    "Alright, hop on, I will carry you down" Ryden agreed before he kneeled down to give the other man a piggy back ride


    Since Clyde is already tired, he did not resist and he just hopped on Ryden''s back


    Anyway, since there is a free ride down, why would Clyde refuse to avail it?


    After Clyde hopped on his husband''s back, he wrapped his arms around Ryden''s neck while resting his chin into the man''s shoulder in which he has to admit is kind of pleasant especially since Ryden''s shoulders were broad


    With Clyde in his back, Ryden climbed down the hill, making sure to go down using another path as to not run into Harley again


    Despite carrying a fully grown man, Ryden does not sho the slightest bit of fatigue even when they returned back to the inn they rented


    Since the hill is beautiful, naturally, there are many tourists and businesses such as the inns are thriving and there is no shortage of places to stay in


    As soon as Clyde''s back can feel the soft bed below him, he immediately releases a sigh of comfort


    "I just want to lay in bed forever" Clyde mumbled. How good would it be if his whole life, he can just live peacefully without needing to work? That is like the dream!


    "Rest first, I will go grab us some food" Ryden said and Clyde can only wave his hand as a response


    Ryden called Eriz first and have the maid stay outside of Clyde''s room in case he would need something


    Since they are in a different place, naturally, they must taste the local cuisine. Instead of giving the job to the servants, Ryden wanted to find good food personally


    It was no fun to be in a different place and only let the servants explore it by giving them time to buy food


    Ryden went on various restaurants and even stall just around the town, tasting various foods and deciding to bring back the ones that he find the most delicious

    Back in Clyde''s room, the man can be seen slowly closing his eyes. Fatigued swept his body and mind and soon, he fell asleep


    Clyde don''t normally have dreams or nightmares but this time he does


    In his dream, he found himself in a familiar carriage. It was not familiar to him because he uses it but because of the thing that happened on the first and last time that he uses it


    Clyde was the only person inside the carriage and he has an anxious yet hopeful look in his face


    Today is the day of his wedding day. He would be married to someone that he did not even met before


    He was hoping that despite the rumors about his husband to be, the Prince would be a kind man or at least just treat him with respect


    He had never felt any love from his parents and brothers despite trying his best. The concept of familial love is completely foreign for him as it was something that he had never experienced before


    Clyde can only hope that he would have a new and completely different life together with his husband to be


    However, just as Clyde was daydreaming of a completely different life, the carriage suddenly stops moving


    With how anxious he was, he did not realize that the path that his carriage took seems to be weird


    Instead of the developed roads of the Imperial Capital, the carriage has been traversing a foresty path which should not be the case


    Is he not supposed to be paraded around the Capital? Why is he suddenly in a forest?


    This weird thing made his heart beat faster than normal


    "H-hello?" Clyde called out, trying to catch the attention of the coachman but he did not receive a reply from him


    More fear grips Clyde''s heart and he opened the carriage door and walked out just to see himself surrounded by around seven people, wearing all black that covered the entirety of their bodies as if they do not want anyone to recognize their faces


    The assassins although only dealing with a weak and insignificant omega still held a high level of proffesionalism


    They did not talk or try to taunt and find joy in Clyde''s current situation. Instead, they wielded their weapons and attacked Clyde


    The next thing that happened was not a suspense. With Clyde practically having zero attacking power, the swords of the assassins pierced through his body


    The pain feels so real even though it was just a dream and Clyde was awoken by that. He can feel that his whole body was sweating. Well, why wouldn''t he? He just dreamed of the day that he died thanks to his stepmother


    However, before Clyde can have the time to calm himself from that nightmare, someone already covered his nose and mouth with a piece of cloth


    It was not hard for Clyde to realize that he was being kidnapped. A situation like this is not out of the things he thought might happen to him in the future and he has several things he thought of doing in certain situations but the reality is after all is still different


    Despite Clyde''s mind remembering what he should do, he still almost paled in doing it. Fortunately, Clyde''s reaction was still on time


    As soon as Clyde felt the cloth in his mouth and nose, he immediately bit his own tongue. He is not sure if the cloth has sedative on it or not but he must make sure to guard against that. If he is unconscious while being kidnapped, he would be in an even more dangerous situation


    Clyde can taste his own blood but he did not swallow or cough them out. In his eyes, he can see several assassins in black and his decision of biting his tongue is the right one


    The cloth indeed has sedatives in them!


    As Clyde cannot possibly defeat the assassins on his own, he decided to act as if he had lose consciousness


    The assassins thought that Clyde has fallen asleep and they carried them out using the window


    They are in a hurry before the madman Prince that can kill them all arrives that they did not notice that Clyde sometimes parted his lips only by a tiny bit. The space was only enough so that the droplets of Clyde''s blood mixed with his saliva would fall down


    This is Clyde''s way of leaving a trail so that his allies would be able to find him


    The assassins moved really fast and in no time, Clyde was already boarded in a carriage. It reminds him of the dream of what happened when he first died and Clyde forcefully hardened his heart


    He cannot let himself lose to his trauma. If he will break down, he would do so after he was safe!


    Clyde opened his eyes a bit and found out that there are more assassins than he thought. If the assassins were sent by the same person that tried to kill him back at the bar, they might have sent more people this time for assurance


    With their numbers, the assassins have to board more than one carriage. The carriage that Clyde was in is at the middle with one more carriage at the front and back


    Not to mention, there were three assassins that boarded the same carriage with Clyde and his mind immediately tried to think of a ay to continue leaving a trail There were still blood in his mouth but how can he leave a trail using them if the assassins were in the samr carriage as he is and they can see his actions?
