Chapter 93 The Romance In The Snow (Part One)

There were a lot of bullet holes on the target, and Fiona was hoping that she could hit the target too.

However, to her disappointment, she missed it.

"You''re not holding the gun right." Spencer made his way towards her and stood behind her. His chest

pressed against her back as he lifted her hand and said, "Just like this."

At that moment, Fiona couldn''t think of anything else—she was distracted by the idea of Spencer being

so close to her, his chest pressed against her back and his hand that was holding hers. Although she

was dressed in heavy cotton clothes, she could feel the warmthing from behind. She could feel his

hot breath from behind her neck. She felt as if her mind had gone nk.

"Did you hear what I said?" Suddenly, he raised his voice.

"Hmm? What did you say?" Fiona asked in confusion

"You have a real gun in your hand! This can kill people! Be careful!" Spencer sounded slightly angry.

Perhaps, it was his natural instinct since they were at the shooting range and he knew that they needed

to be extra careful. With the way he was acting, he absolutely looked like a leader.

Fiona bit her lips, feeling dissatisfied. He was the one who wanted her to learn how to shoot and this

was her first time trying. How could he expect for her to get it right away? Damn it!

    "Okay," Fiona said dejectedly.

"Keep your hand steady. Let''s try it again!" With that, he lifted her hand andmanded, "Shot!"

    Bang!

Without hesitation, she pulled the trigger and shot towards the target.

    "Nine points!" the reporter shouted.

"Nine points?" Fiona''s eyes suddenly lit up. With some pride and disbelief, she said, "Wow! Awesome!

Did you see that, Spencer? Nine points!"

Spencer withdrew his hand, raising his eyebrows. Seeing how excited Fiona was, he nodded and said,

"Yes, awesome. Next time, can you aim for the bull''s eye?"

"Probably." Even though her fingers were freezing, her interest had been aroused now. She raised her

gun and said, "Let''s see how powerful I am!" After she spoke, she shot the target again.

    Bang!

    "One point!"

For a moment, Fiona just stared at the target. After a while, as a way tofort herself, she mumbled,

"Well, I hit the target. I''ve made progress."

Spencerughed, amused by his wife. He then took out a pair of thick ear muffs and ced them over

    her ears.

"What?" Fiona turned her head to look at him, her eyes blinking. The ear muffs she wore suited her so

    well that she looked adorable.

"Nothing. They can keep you warm." Patting her head, Spencer felt warm in his heart. "Just keep

shooting. You can rest once you make the bull''s eye."

Fiona frowned. "The bull''s eye? How can I even do that?"

"How is that impossible? Consider the target as your enemy. If you miss the target, you die."

"What?" Holding the gun in her hand, Fiona couldn''t help but feel nervous. She slightly turned her head

and asked Spencer, "Is it really that serious? I''m not going to the battlefield. Am I in such grave

    danger?"

After a while, Spencer sighed as he exined, "I was just using a metaphor." With that, he waved to

the coach as if to tell him toe over.

"Mr. Cheng!" The coach ran over and saluted.

"Could you go get a dummy target?" He paused for a moment and added, "The most realistic one."

    "Yes, sir!"

After the coach left, Spencer took the gun from Fiona and said, "Let me teach you a few things. Your

shooting skills can''t be practiced in just a day or two, but I don''t have the patience for that."

Fiona nodded and thought to herself, ''That''s good.''

When the coach brought over the target, the first thing that Fiona thought was how realistic it really

looked. It was a three-dimensional human model that was the size of an average person. The dummy

was dressed in human clothes and it was holding a fake gun in its hand. Its facial features were quite

realistic. Even though it couldn''t move or talk, it could still easily deceive some people.

"Once you shoot the target, it''s going to stimte a real person''s response," Spencer exined. "So

use it for practice. I bet it''s going to help with your progress."

Fiona nodded as she listened to him. He then asked her, "Fiona, let''s say an enemy is threatening your

life, which part of the body should you target?"

    "The head!"

    "Anything else?"

    "The heart."

    "Anything else?"

"Emm..." Fiona frowned. "The back? Spine? Stomach?"

Spencer shook his head and said, "The arm."

"Arm?" she repeated. "But the arm isn''t a vital part."

"The reason why we target the arms is not to defeat the enemy but to aid your escape. In other words,

shooting at the arm will buy you time to n your escape," Spencer exined. "Just think about it. If

the enemy is able to threaten your life, that means he has a weapon which is most likely a gun. If you

don''t have the ability to shoot your enemy dead, the best option is to shoot him in the arm."

An idea came to Fiona so she voiced it out, "If I shoot his arm, he''ll be forced to drop his gun. He''ll

have no way to shoot again, which will give us time to run away."

Raising the corners of his mouth, he nodded in approval and said, "Yes, you''re smart. So we need to

see which hand is holding the gun. From there, you can figure out which arm you''ll aim at. The best

area to target is the shoulder."

As Fiona gazed at Spencer, her heart beat wildly at the sight of his handsome face.

"Now all that''s left is practice." With a pistol in his hand, he continued, "Look at my position. My arm is

stable and my eyes are focused. Think of the target as my enemy. Either he dies or I die. Be quick and

    fight without any hesitation."

    Bang!

After he spoke, he pulled the trigger and the bullet went straight to the target. Itnded right in the

    middle of its shoulder.

In an instant, the target dropped its gun.

Fiona wasn''t able to help herself—she pped her hands in admiration.

Spencer turned and opened his mouth, intending to say something. But when he met Fiona''s gaze, his

heart began to palpitate. He had to admit that the way Fiona was looking at him filled him with so much

    pride.

Snow was still falling and the sky was a vast white nket. Only Fiona and Spencer stood in the middle

    of the shooting range.

"Yes. Hold your gun. Don''t move your hand. Push.

Aiming for the arm should be yourst option. It''s still better if you aim for the head or the heart,

    understand?

Just try it out first. Don''t be afraid..."

He instructed Fiona carefully as he stood behind her. Ayer of snowkes scattered throughout her

    hair.

"Hey, look at Mr. Cheng! I''ve never seen him this patient!" one of the soldiers outside the shooting

range whispered to the other. "If we shoot like that, we would have been kicked a long time ago."

"What nonsense are you talking about?" the other soldier said and looked towards the field. "That''s

Mrs. Cheng! Of course, Mr. Cheng needs to teach her himself. No matter how badly she shoots, Mr.
