Chapter 2 Thank Him
It was dark, and Mnie didn’t know how long it had been.
Mnie fell asleep after he quieted down. When she opened her eyes again, suddenly she could
see.
She saw the heavy silk curtains and the bed with its exquisitely carved headboard.
Everything was exactly what she thought it would be.
Mnie looked down at her body. Except for the bruises, she looked quite clean.
