    Iris muttered. "She’s literally built to be a distraction."


    Zephyr nodded. "A dangerous distraction."


    Danielle laughed, flicking her wrist—and the air around us instantly grew humid.


    She raised a hand—and a tidal surge of deep blue water formed behind her, swirling like an ocean’s wrath given form.

    Before Iris could commit murder, Nyx slithered from my shadow.


    She had been watching, intrigued.


    Her serpentine chainblade form shimmered, pulsing in sync with Danielle’s flowing water.


    And then, the system flared.

    When the fusion settled, a new being stood before me.


    She was taller, her body a perfect balance of Nyx’s abyssal curves and Danielle’s aquatic sheen.


    Her eyes glowed—one silver as the moon, the other deep sapphire.


    Her body shimmered between armor and bare skin, wrapped in liquid chains that danced around her frame.


    Her smile was sinful.


    "Oh, Master~," she purred, "We are so much more together."


    I was in serious trouble.


    Zephyr smirked. "Tatsuya, my man. You have ascended."


    Iris stormed away. "I CAN’T DEAL WITH THIS."


    Raika just whistled. "You lucky bastard."


    And me?


    I just prayed that this fusion didn’t kill me before the Black Gull got the chance.
