Hey there, I’m Valdene Patriarch.Author of Grimoire of Cultivation (on hiatus—don’t ask, I’m still recovering emotionally), and currently wrangling together Blood and Vapor, a gritty fantasy light novel that fuses steampunk, wild west grit, and grounded storytelling.


    I started writing publicly in early 2024 because I got tired of yelling at light novels for skipping the good parts and decided to write the kind of stories I actually wanted to read.
