Chapter 35 His Friend
Adide was still in doubt of rissa’s fake prenancy news. Indeed, she did not really see that
happening and just heard from another person. Even if she told Antonio about it now, he might not
even believe her words. Not even speaking of having the same name. If she made a mistake about it,
their rtionship might get worse, though she did not really care about his attitude.
Taking a step back, if all of this was Hanna''s n, then her stepping on it would only make Antonio
think that she was jealous and was trying to kill his child, not to mention the fact that Grandma also got
a paternity test.

I must find a way to get to the bottom of this!
Adide was just about to take action when her phone rang, and "Antonio” was on the screen.
Looking at the name, she took a deep breath and pressed the answer button.
"Hello."
"Adide, get ready, Jerry was back and said he wanted to see you."
His attitude did not seem to change, so Adide hummed and hung up the phone.
looking at the familiar but warmless ce that was called family, Adide sighed softly.
Jerry?
The name appeared in Adide''s mind without causing any big wave, as if they had met before. He
was probably a ssmate, or Antonio''s buddy.
Soon, Antonio returned with him with a slight smile. The smiles on his face did not decrease even when
looking at her, as if there was never a problem between them.
"Come, no need for introduction. Jerry, Adide."
As Antonio and Jerry stood in the doorway, Adide nodded slightly and stepped aside to let them
enter.
What a beautiful woman. Every gesture and smile of her had a girlish sweetness in it. This was the first
feeling Jerry had when seeing Adide again after a long time!
He did not remember when he started liking Adide, but only remembered that he left the county
without any returns after she got married.

"Hello sister-inw, I didn''t expect you to look prettier than before!" Jerry smiled and gave his hand.
Adide smiled as well and shook his hand.
"Don''t say that, I''ll be embarrassed, let’se inside first before we catch up."
With a nod, they entered the house. Adide signaled the two to sit on the couch,
"You guys sit down and talk first. I''ll go and get you some water."
However, Jerry shook his head.
"Sister-inw, you have quite a few servants in this house, so why do you still need to pour the water
yourself?
Could it be that Antonio has been bullying you?"
He acted in a familiar with her made Adide a little ufortable, but out of courtesy,
she could only smile,
"No. I am just used to do it myself."
Instead of feeling embarrassed, Jerryughed,
"Ah, since my sister-inw said so, that must mean she''s not a bad cook!
Then I''ll have to be cheeky and let my sister-inw buy me a meal!"
Adide got slightly stunned,
"I''m not much of a cook."
However, Jerry put on a look of disbelief,
"Sister-inw, is it that you don’t want to cook for me?
You see, Antonio and I have been best buddies for so many years, and we''ve long been inseparable. It
should not be hard to cook a meal!"
Looking at Jerry''s yful and smiling look, this was the first time Antonio found his face so annoying.
Seeing Adide smiling at him, he felt super ufortable inside, like the heart suddenly turned
upside down.
He said, "Adide, this guy hasn''t been back for a long time either. He came back specifically to see
you this time."
He acted as if he loved her a lot in front of people, but the hint of unnaturalness in their eyes still got
captured by Jerry.
Something seemed not right.
Adide was stunned by Antonio''s shout, but still nodded her head.
"Since it''s a special asion, I’ll have to show my skill, but you can''tin if I don''t cook well."
She did not know why she said such words. Jerry nodded in satisfaction, but Antonio was slightly
stunned, and felt even more ufortable inside. He could not stop finding this scene unpleasant to
look at.
Adide entered the kitchen with the excuse of cooking, thinking that she could finally escape from
those two, but did not expect a tail to follow behind her.
"Sister-inw, there are three of us eating. I''m afraid you won''t be able to make it alone, let me help
you."
“Can you cook?"
Adide asked in surprise, she didn''t think the rich young man could cook, but picked up the kitchen
knife with a smile, seeing him skillfully pulled up his sleeves.
"Sister-inw, just watch!
I''ve been living abroad alone for quite a long time!"
Adide nodded and watched him as he spoke. Though he was talking, the knife in his hand slicing
vegetables did not pause for a moment. The cuts were decent and organized too, which obviously
resulted from a good knife work. Apparantly, he was not lying.
Jerry seemed to have felt her gaze, so he looked up at her with a smiling face,
"Well?
Sister-inw, I''m not lying to you, am I?"
Adide smiled and nodded. This scene of the them staring at each other was just caught by Antonio,
"What are you guys talking about that''s so funny?"
"It''s just that my sister-inw doesn''t believe I can cook, so I have to show my skill off!" Jerry winked at
Antonio, apparently looking happy and content,
At the same time, though, Antonio was experiencing sense of crisis. If he remembered correctly, this
brat seemed to be an old acquaintance with Adide as well.
He said, "Haven''t you cooked enough abroad?
Shouldn''t you use this time to catch up with me?"
Although Jerry was very reluctant, he still got "carried" out by Antonio with thisme reason.
After they left the kitchen, Adide finally had a sigh of relief.
It''s really exhausting to smile all the time!
When the food was done, they all went to the table. Looking at the sumptuous food in front of them,
Jerry could not help opening his mouth again,
"Sister-inw!
You''re really something!
How did you make so many dishes in such a short time, and they all look so delicious! I feel like I could
eat an extra bowl of rice today!"
Adide tugged at the corners of her mouth and nodded gently,
"If you like it, then help yourself."
After Jerry put a chopstick of food into his mouth, his eyes immediately squinted with content. A happy
emotion overflowed from his body.
"Sister-inw!
Your cooking skill is seriously not a brag!
Yummy!
Hey you, I''m so jealous of you for having such an amazing wife."
Jerry''s attitude towards Adide and Antonio werepletely different, so the sense of crisis and
impatience in Antonio''s heart became more and more difficult to suppress.
"Eat your dinner!
You talk too much!
Finish you meal and get out of here ASAP."
"Hey!
I thought you said we were buddies?
You are not even trying to keep me staying overnight?"
Though Jerry was obviously very unhappy with what Antonio just said, Antonio just gave him a faint
nce,
"Good brothers don''t share wives."
Jerry choked on his words, so he continued eating in silence.
As it turned out, some man really got thrown out after the dinner, of course though, after he washed the
dishes.
"Why don''t you go?"
Adide looked at the man sitting on the sofa and couldn''t help asking.
Antonio frowned and felt very discontent,
"We''re a couple, is there anything wrong with me staying in my own house and sleeping?"
Unexpectedly, he was going to sleep at home.
Even Antonio did not know where he got this idea out of a sudden.
Adide shook her head without saying anything. She went to bed directly after finishing her bath.
However, she did not see a shadow of Antonio even when she fell asleep.
After Antonio pushed open the door, he saw Adide''s tightly closed eyes and heard her smooth
breathing. The corners of his mouth unconsciously raised slightly.
