Chapter 227: The Friendship for Life
Instantly, he felt cold from head to toe. Thest trace of warmth in Joseph’s eyes vanished. He looked
at Hayden with his icy gaze. Coldness covered his expressionless face, and he said, word by word,
“Say it one more time.”
“I can say it for another ten times, and I won’t change my mind. If you dare to hurt Edison, hurt me as
well.” Hayden said firmly. Her gaze had shown her disappointment towards Joseph.
She even began to doubt that how could she possibly fell for a petty guy like him. He was a deep-
minded, pretentious and proud man. He even treated human life like weeds by the roadside.
Joseph clenched his fists until his joints creak. His words squeezed out from his teeth, “Your friendship
for life is really touching. That’s what you call ordinary friend. You’re so good in acting.”
Hayden frowned and did not try to defend herself.
Joseph thought that she had nothing to say, and sneered, “But don’t you think it’s ridiculous to threaten
me with yourself? Who do you think you are?”
Although she knew that most of his words were because of anger, she couldn’t help to feel
disappointed about him. She looked straight into his eyes and asked without any hope, “I am curious
too, who am I to you?”
“You’re just a fixed sex partner provisionally.”
The reality was always cruel. His sharp words pierced her heart like a sharp knife. His words also
viciously hurt her eardrums. She clenched her fist tightly, hoping to give him a punch on the face.

When he saw that she was a woman, Edison’s fist stopped in mid-air. His gaze moved between

Joseph clutched his chest and did not say anything for a long time.
Edison was taunting him because he tried to threaten Hayden.

car.
In the car, Ste was sitting in the car quietly eating pudding and watching cartoons.
Ste was really an innocent child. Children were those who could always live in their own world

them met the standards of Hayden’s expectations. She was not satisfied with any of them. However,
