Chapter 129: A Memento of Last Night
“Are you sure it was L? Did you mistake him for somebody else?”
“No, I’m very sure of what I saw.”
It was already at midnight. On the first floor of a luxury vi located in the west of the town, Jason took
away the wine ss from Vi with doubt on his face, “Enough. Stop drinking. Even though it was
L, Joseph would still see you. That could probably mean he didn’t say anything to Joseph.
Everything could still be fine.”
“Are you saying that he approached Joseph with purpose?” A thought came across Vi’s mind.
Tipsiness showed on her finely sculptured feature. She looked at Jason, “He wanted to threaten me?”
“I think so. Didn’t L like money a lot? God knows if he is trying to threaten us when he
approaches Joseph. Furthermore, he didn’t have any evidence about that night.”
“What do we do now?”
“Instead of hiding, why don’t we offer him something? There is nothing that money can’t do.”
Looking at the assured look on Jason’s face, Vi slowly calmed down.
Jason was right. L loved money. There nothing he wouldn’t do if they offer him enough amount

The next morning, Hayden awakened by the rm clock. She jumped down from her bed when she
saw the time on the clock, “It’s already 8.30?”
Joseph walked out from behind the screen. He was wearing a white shirt and trousers. He looked at
Hayden with a cup of coffee in his hand, “You have twenty-five minutes to get ready.”
Hayden was pissed off. She came out of the bed and looked for clothes to wear, “It’s all your fault…”
“My fault?” Joseph took a sip of the coffee and looked at Hayden ambiguously.
Hayden picked a piece of workce dress and red at Joseph, “You woke up, but you didn’t wake
me up.”
“As your boyfriend, I don’t think it is my fault for wanting to let you rest more.”
“Then don’t me me for beingte to work,” Hayden rolled her eyes at Joseph and went into the
bathroom.
Joseph continued talking outside of the bathroom.
“As your superior, I have to be strict with my subordinates.”
Hayden snapped and replied, “Oh, you are so good at adapting your role at work and after work then.”
“Thank you.”
That wasn’t apliment! Hayden felt speechless. She secretly cursed Joseph in her heart and quickly
put her makeup on.

Hayden identally stepped on the cheongsamst night when she came out of the bathroom. She
frowned, “What do we do with it?”
“I have people to clean up the ceter. I will ask them to send it to the tailor.”
“Can it be fixed?” Hayden highly doubted the possibility of fixing the cheongsam. After all, it had been
tear up to where the underarm was. The cheongsam was deformed.
“It doesn’t matter whether it could be fixed. It is a memento.”
Hayden was confused, “Memento?”
“Memento ofst night.”

Hayden was stunned before she realized what Joseph was saying. Her face was flushed red, and she
ran out of the room. Joseph must be restraining himself for too long before this. He turned into an
animal now that his lust and desires were unleashed. Look at how frequently they slept together after
they were officially in a rtionship.
The itinerary of the day was to visit the H Garden. The H Garden was located only two kilometres away
from the ST Hotel. Hayden was in-charged in introducing the ce in English. Her perfect and fluent
American ent beat all the other trantors the visitors brought.
Hans and Jennifer liked Hayden a lot, especially when they found out she lived in the State alone with
her five-year-old daughter.
“It’s not easy to raise a child alone in a foreign country. I’m impressed.”
Jennifer held Hayden’s hand and showed her admiration.
“It was alright. It wasn’t that hard either. We didn’te back because it was hard. We came back
because my daughter and I like the environment here.”
“I like the environment here too,” Jennifer smiled yfully, “You’re right! You weren’t in distress at all.
You found Mr. Beckham after your return. True love is harder to find.”
“Yes, it was,” Hayden turned and looked in Joseph’s direction. He was discussing the construction
process of the stone bridge with Hans. Hayden smiled.
The night came. ST Hotel held an open-air music and cocktail party on thewn as a wee
ceremony for guests.
Jennifer was wearing an evening dress in lc. She still looked attractive, although she was already in
her 50s.
“Mr. Beckham and Ms. Downey, I would like to introduce a friend of mine. She is also from China, and
we met in the States.”
“You have another Chinese friend?”
“Yes, she’s here,” Jennifer smiled brightly and waved in the direction of the entrance.
A woman walked towards them. Her ck silk dress was embroidered with ck sequins, and she
looked like a walking ck mermaid under the lights.
However, Hayden was stunned, “yna?”
“Do you know her?” Jennifer was surprised.
yna wasn’t surprised at all. She smiled and exined, “I knew Jennifer when I was in America. She
was a loyal customer in my shop. Hayden is my best friend, so when I heard Jennifer told me the
address of the party, I knew you will be here.”
yna was a fashion designer and has a lot of friends overseas. What surprised Hayden was Jennifer
was one of her friends. What a coincidence.
Jennifer had to leave after they chatted for a while.
“yna, Kevin will be here too,” Hayden suddenly reminded. She looked at Joseph and asked for his
confirmation, “Right?”
Joseph nodded.
Although it was a private party, Kevin’s attendance was expected as he was the shareholder of the
company.
yna rolled her eyes and said, “So what? It is none of my business.”
“You guys are fighting?” Hayden sighed, “I thought you guys are well. What happened?”
“We are bot fighting. We broke up.”
“Broke up?” Hayden asked in hesitation.
yna raised her brow, “Yes.”
Hayden and Joseph looked at each other and understood what each other meant.
After yna and Kevin got together, they would tell people that they broke up whenever they fight.
There were too many times that Hayden and Joseph have already lost count, and they werezy to
comment.
A familiar guy entered the party at this moment. He saw Hayden and Joseph, and then he walked
towards them.
Hayden wanted to pull Joseph away, “yna, we are going to see some of our guests. Are you alright
alone?”
“I’m fine,” yna waved her hand.
“Go ahead. I didn’te alone.”
“Who are you with?” Hayden stunned.
