Chapter 114: Do Not Mention Him
After arriving at home in the evening, Hayden cooked noodles for Ste in the kitchen while wearing
the apron.
Ste ran over and asked while smiling, “Mommy, are you in a good mood today?”
“What’s wrong? Why do you ask this?”
“I’m just simply asking!” Ste sniffed, “Mommy, have you received flowers? I can smell flower
fragrance from your body.”
Hearing this, Hayden’s brows instantly furrowed.
But Ste did not notice it and still asked while looking forward to hearing Hayden’s answer, “Is it given
by Mister? It’s the smell of rose, so nice!”
After these words were uttered, ‘ng’, Hayden directly thrust the knife on the chopping board and
spoke impatiently.
“Don’t mention him.”
Ste shivered and felt that a chill went down her spine. She looked up and saw Hayden’s darkened
face. Her heart thumped against her chest wildly for a while and she ran away in a huff.
What was going on? I thought giving flowers definitely would be sessful?

In the kitchen, the sounds of chopping ribs were incessantly made. Ste stayed in the bedroom and
secretly made a phone call.
“Mister, Mommy seems to be angrier than before! No, Mommy was just unhappy before but she is
really angry this time!”
“…”
“Let’s think of another way.”
In the dining room of the mansion of the Beckham family, Harrison looked depressed after hanging up
the phone.
It did not make sense. Shouldn’t all women be happy when they received flowers? How came she
became even angrier?
When having dinner, Hayden’s mood seemed to be eased after she chopped the ribs. She put some
ribs into Ste’s bowl using chopsticks.
“Eat more. When I’m not at home during the day, you put the ribs into the microwave to warm them up.
Don’t eat too many snacks.”
“Mommy, I’m so bored to stay at home every day.”
Ste bit the ribs and said vaguely, “Why don’t you enrol me into an interest ss.”
“Interest ss? Hayden was slightly stunned, “What do you want to learn?”
“Swimming!” Ste stomped back to her room and then stomped out again, showing the summer
swimming ss advertisements on her tablet to Hayden.
“I’ve already searched for it. For this, kids can go on their own from Monday to Friday. On Saturday and
Sunday, Mommy can apany me to go together.”
“I don’t know how to swim.” Hayden frowned, “I go for what.”
“Yeah, so it’s just nice, I’ve asked them, they say adults can have a free lesson on Saturday and
Sunday, you can also learn together.”
“When did you ask?” Hayden’s face looked suspicious.
“I made a phone call and asked just now.”
Ste showed a naive face, “Mommy, aren’t you always worrying that I don’t eat properly when I’m at
home alone. If I join the swimming ss, you can send me there in the morning and they will provide
lunch!”
“Provide lunch?” Hayden read the advertisements while saying, “Since it provides so many things, it
should be quite expensive.”

said that the hotel receptionist had a conflict with a customer. So, she hurriedly rushed over after
hanging up the phone.
“What’s going on?”
When she arrived at the hotel, Jeff immediately approached her and he was pulling a long face.
“We want to wee and serve the foreign guests so the entire hotel has to be emptied. But the
previous film crews thate in to stay are big problems. I don’t know how theymunicate and the
supporting actress of this film crew is offended.”
“The film crews?” Hayden frowned, “The supporting actress? The one who stays in room 1213 by the
name of Madison Lopez?”
“Yes, it’s her. We’ve originallye into an agreement with the film crews that we’ll arrange for them to
stay in the hotel nearby and we’ll take the responsibility to send their luggage over and also
compensate for their loss of time. However, Madison says that she has lost a diamond ne. The
CCTV shows that the only person who has visited her room in the morning is the receptionist, Lillian,
who goes there to inform her of the time to move her things…”
“So, she says that Lillian has stolen her thing?” Hayden frowned. She knew everyone in the hotel. And
the receptionist, Lillian was personally interviewed by her and Lillian indeed was not a person who
would steal things.
“Yeah, Madison keeps saying that she wants to call the police. However, isn’t our hotel going to serve
and wee foreign guests? If the policemene over and let them know that someone in our hotel
steals things, it will cause a bad impact.”
Hayden nodded, “It isn’t possible to call the police. Where is Lillian? Ask her to find me first, I’ll ask her
what has happened.”
“Okay.”
Jeff hurriedly nodded and went to find Lillian.
Hayden, on the other hand, went straight to the monitoring room and when she just arrived there, she
saw a familiar figure.
“Why are you here?” She looked at Benjamin in surprise.
Benjamin blinked at her, “The hotel has encountered a problem. My first reaction is toe to see the
surveince video. I’m very free so Ie to help you. I’ve asked them to retrieve the surveince
video you want, so you can just directlye to watch it.”
Hayden praised, “Wow, you’re really not bad.”
The monitoring screen was disying the scene of the door of room 1213. The operator yed the
video at an 8x speed. When it showed the scenest night, Hayden’s eyes suddenly narrowed.
“Stop.”
The operator quickly stopped it, “Is there any problem, Ms. Downey?”
Hayden raised her hand and did an act of telling him not to speak. She stared at the screen and after a
moment, she said in a deep voice, “Rewind it to the position at about 5th minutes.”
The video quickly rewound.
“Stop.”
Looking at Lillian’s panicked behaviour at the door of the room, Hayden took a deep breath and her
face darkened.
“It’s just like what has Jeff said. At nine o’clockst night, Lillian went into room 1213 and at that
moment, there should be no one inside Madison’s room.”
Benjamin stroked his chin and slightly pushed the sses on his nose. There was a wise glint in his
eyes, “It is apparently not that simple.”
A series of footsteps sounded from the door, followed by Jeff’s breathless voice.
“Ms. Downey, something bad has happened. Lillian has gone to the top floor; she wants to jump to
death.”
“What?”
Hayden’s face turned pale and she rushed out with high heels that were twelve centimetres high.
On the top floor of ST Hotel, a slender figure was shivering while standing outside the rusty railing. The
zing sun shone so brightly that people found it hard to open their eyes. The wind on the top floor
was hot as if someone could be seriously tanned by it at any time.
“Don’te over, you guys don’te over.”
“Lillian, calm down.”
When Hayden reached the top floor, some hotel employees were surrounding the scene. All of them
were nervously looking at the shaky figure outside the railing. Each of them was having a pale face.
If something happened to the hotel before the foreign guests arrived, the hotel and even the ST Group
would be spelt to an end.
“Get out of the way, you guys get out of the way first.”
Hayden past through the crowd and went to the very front. Once she saw the scene in front of her, she
was almost scared out of her mind. She barely calmed herself and raised her pair of hands and said
while gasping.
“Lillian, it’s me, you calm down. Come down first to talk to me.”
