Elgin spoke up, “Isn’t this your job? Aren’t you following up?”
Okay.” Letitia agreed, “I’ll have an answer for Ms. Ward by this afternoon. Anything else? If not, I’m
heading to the office.”
Elgin said, “What’s the rush? I’ll go with you.”
“Oh? Mr. Ramirez, aren’t you staying with Ms. Ward?” she said with her biggest grin, “I almost forgot,
Mr. Ramirez, I haven’t congratted you yet. You’re going to be a dad!”
He shot her a cold look, “Quit your sarcasm.”
Sh chimed in. “Letitia, I don’t care however you badmouth me, just don’t hurt my baby”
“She’s not capable of that.” Elgin stood up. “Just take care of yourself. I’lle see you when I have
time.”
Sh clung to his hand, reluctant to let go, “Mr. Ramirez… you’lle often, right?”
“Yeah.”
Letitia just felt sick to her stomach and turned her head away.
Sitting in the car, Elgin’s expression was nk, showing no joy.
He nced at Letitia’s belly, a smirk crossing his lips, “You thought you were safe, because grandpa
got tricked by you, right? Now that Sh is really carrying my child, what do you think… what do you
have left to hold on to?”
Her heart skipped a beat.
“Letitia, whatever you’re doing is pointless. You won’t be able to give birth to it,” Elgin said, “You
could’ve taken the easy way out, but you chose the hard road.”
“As long as I’m breathing, I’ll protect him.” Letitia said firmly.
“What’s so precious about a bastard that you’d go this far?”
Letitia replied firmly, “Because he’s my child.”

men ever be sure the baby is yours? Is Sh’s baby really yours? She even snickered with a sneer.

He let go and said loudly, “Pull over!”
The driver hits the brakes pronto.
