    Man, she’s putting on this act,plete with the whining voice and pouty face… To be honest, it’s


    kinda nauseating. Elgin was getting more and more fed up with her.

    Sh blurted out, “Letitia!”


    “Her?”


    “Are you looking for me? What’s up?” Just then, Letitia strolled down the stairs, caught sight of Sh,


    and eximed in surprise, “Oh my god? Is your new movie role a beggar, Sh?”


    Pointing at her, Sh snapped, “Cut the crap, Letitia! You know damn well why I ended up like this!”


    “That so? I haven’t seen you all day. How would I know?”


    “It was you! You’re the one who did this!”


    Letitia wasn’t born yesterday ying the innocent card? She could do that in her sleep!


    “I have no clue what you’re talking about.” Letitia pinched her nose. “That stench is so strong, it’s like


    air pollution.”


    Sh was so angry her face twisted, “Don’t y dumb with me. I know it was you who bagged me,


    beat me up, and dumped me in a garbage truck. No one else would pull this kind of stunt on me!”


    “You’re spitting venom without proof. Do you have any evidence?”


    “None! But it was definitely you, it had to be!”


    Letitia just shrugged, “Seems like you’re slinging mud at me. Even you said you had a bag over your


    head, you couldn’t see a thing. Sh, you can’t just throw dirt on people like that”


    Vidonia hit the nail on the head. Battling Sh was a contest of wills and shamelessness. Trying to


    reason with her proved to be an exercise in futility


    “We can find out! Sh turned to Elgin, “Mr. Ramirez, you’re definitely capable of doing it, get someone


    to dig up the evidence, leave her speechless.”


    Elgin just pursed his lips, silent.


    Letitia responded, “I was at thepany all day, spent the afternoon with Ms. Bailey, I have both alibis


    and evidence.”


    “You and that Vidonia are thick as thieves, of course she’d take your side!”


    “Come on, she’s not only my friend but also my boss. She wouldn’t join me in something this ludicrous.”


    Sh was stumped, but she wasn’t about to swallow this bitter pill without a fight, stomping her foot,


    “Mr. Ramirez, you have to help


    me…


    “Got it” Elgin replied nonchntly, “you’re a mess, go clean up first.”


    Sh nodded reluctantly


    Letitia struggled to keep a straight face, not to give herself away. But inside, she felt damn good.


    “Childish, Elgin said with a side nce.


    “Who are you calling childish?”


    “You,” he raised an eyebrow, “Is messing with people fun for you? Just because she recorded


    something and tattled to me, you retaliate like this?”


    Letitia clenched her teeth. He saw right through her, knowing she was behind it. But so what? She


    wouldn’t admit it, and no one could touch her for it!


    “It wasn’t me.” Letitia blinked innocently, “I was with Vidonia the whole time, busy working,


    brainstorming about the design elements of Ramirez Romantica’. I had no time for such pranks.”


    Vidonia was under Samson’s protection. For the sake of his friend, Elgin wouldn’t mess with her lightly.


    So Sh was definitely taking


    the fall!


    But Sh, banking on Elgin’s indulgence, kept making a fuss. Elgin, annoyed to no end, finally said,


    “Go to the Ramirez Group tomorrow and ask Vidonia yourself.


    And sure enough Sh did go. She had once abducted Letitia in front ofpany colleagues, making


    quite the scene at the Ramirez Group So.. the moment she showed up at the “Ramirez Romantica


    Jewelry Department, everyone scattered like startled birds


    Sh charged in. She had Elgin’s support anyways!


    Vidonia wasn’t the least bit intimidated, “Hey, hey, where did this womane from? You’re not


    wee here.”


    “I’m here for you. Vidonia, it was you and Letitia who set me up yesterday, right?”


    Vidonias acting chops were even better than Letitia’s, and her mouth was sharper,


    “Ha! Who do you think you are? I’m a top executive, she’s a lead designer. Do you really think we’d


    waste our time on a side chick like. you? You’re not even a small fry.”


    Sh was fuming, “Fine, fine, you’ve teamed up!”


    She red at Letitia, “Don’t get too smug. You’ve won this round, but next time, I’ll get my revenge,


    double!”


    Vidonia stood in front of Letitia, chin up, “Put your hand down, this isn’t a ce for you to throw a


    tantrum.”


    “This is the Ramirez Group! Mr. Ramirez’s ce! I’m the futuredy of the house!”


    “That’s hrious, first time I’ve heard someone call themselves ‘the futuredy of the house.”


    Laughter echoed from the crowd around them.


    Sh blushed, looking awful.


    She couldn’t even outtalk Letitia, let alone Vidonia. And now, she was theughing stock.


    The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. Sh raised her hand to p Vidonia, “You bitch,


    I’ll make sure you can’t survive in the Ramirez Group. Ah! Ouch!”


    Vidonia grabbed her wrist in a sh, twisted it, nearly breaking it.


    “You trying to hit me? You’re too naive, woman!” With that, Vidonia pped back.


    She wasn’t about to coddle this mistress!


    But just then, a hand reached out, stopping her, “Enough.”


    The office fell silent at the arrival of this man – Elgin.


    “Mr. Ramirez!” Sh saw her savior, “You told me toe here for the truth, but this woman won’t let


    me in, she’s even trying to hit me!” Vidonia was regretting herself. Why couldn’t she have been just a


    bit quicker? Just a second faster, and she would’vended that p on Sh’s face!


    “Ah, Mr. Ramirez.” Vidonia withdrew her hand, “We don’t allow outsiders to make a scene here, I was

    Sh immediately piped up, “She started it! Mr. Ramirez, I want an apology!”

    Elgin looked cool as a cucumber, giving Letitia a once-over.


    Letitia didn’t even bother looking at him or uttering a word, her eyes darting all over the ce.


    What’s it to her anyway? She wasn’t even involved.


    When things were at a stalemate, Samson waltzed in from the doorway. “Hey, what’s themotion


    here? Quite the scene, huh?”


    Getting closer and sizing up the crowd, then catching Vidonia’s vibe, Samson got the picture.


    Great, now he’s gotta y peacemaker and clean up this mess!


    “Come on, Gin, it’s not that big of a deal. Let me apologize on behalf of Vidonia, okay? Samson tugged


    at him, “Please, for my sake?”


    Elgin shot a nce at him, “Keep your woman in check.”


    “Excuse me??”


    Hey, he and Vidonta were just friends! Yet, inexplicably, a small surge of satisfaction stirred within


    Samson at Elgin’s words.


    Elgin walked away, with Sh hot on his heels, “Mr. Ramirez, why are you just walking away like that..


    Samson asked, “Ladies, what did you do to piss off Sh this time?”
