Letitia finally Letitia understood Sh’s ulterior motive By having her dress, Sh could leave her with
nothing to wear. No way Letitia could show her face at the event now; she could either hide in the
bathroom or just leave.
She was already tucked away in a corner, minding her own business. Why couldn’t Sh just back off?
“Sorry, Ms. Ward” Letitia cracked a smile, sneering, “You’re kinda on the short side, and my size… it
ain’t gonna fit you. That dress would be dragging on the floor on you,” Letitia shrugged, “Wish I could
help you out, but you can’t pull it off.”

“Wipe it off, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll go to the restroom. I’ll wash it for you and blow it dry.”
Like Sh would go for that She was done talking. She just reached for Letitia’s dress, “You’re giving
your dress to me, whether you like it or not!”
That pink dress was obviously a gift from Mr. Ramirez.
In Sh’s mindset, Letitia, having been in a madhouse, was a low-life and thus, undeserving of
unting such an extravagant garment!!
“What the hell, Sh!”
“If you won’t take it off, guess I’ll have to lend a hand!”
In a public ce like this, if Letitia got disheveled, it’d be a major face-nt. Where’s her pride
supposed to go? Sh was ying dirty!
Right then, Vidonia stormed in and blocked Sh, “Whoa, whoa, what’s going on? You think you can
just swipe her dress in broad daylight?”
With Vidonia pitching in, Sh was no match all by herself.
And Vidonia gave Sh a shove that nearly sent her stumbling.
“Who the hell are you!” Sh barked, “You dare to push me?”

“I’m warning you, stay outta my way!”
Vidonia chuckled, “Well, I’m all up in it now, so what!”
She
put Letitia behind her, just like back in their school days when she’d step up if anyone bullied her.
“Letitia, you okay? Fix your dress, quick.”
Letitia quickly fixed her dress, clutching her chest, “I’m fine.”
“I was nearly toote, you’d have been humiliated!” Vidonia asked, “Who’s this?”
Letitia had to spill it, “She’s Elgin’s date.”
“No freakin’ way!”
Sh huffed, “Now you know who I am, right? Make yourself scarce if you know what’s good for you.
I’m only after Letitia!”
“Pssh, feeling all high and mighty, mistress?” Vidonia rolled her eyes, “You’re not more than a whore!”
Sh was livid, “What did you say?!”
“Where did that attitudee from? It’s you who should be apologizing to Letitia.”
“Me, apologize to her? No chance!” Sh snapped, “Alright, Vidonia? Better hope our paths don’t
cross again!”
Letto quickly interjected, “It’s not Vidonia’s problem Sh. This is between us
“Hey, it’s buzzing in here” That’s when Samson rocked up. “What’s going on?”
Vidonia, not in the best mood, replied. “Ran into a mad dog!”
Samson looked at Sh “Isn’t this Gin’s plus one? What’s got you so fired up? If there’s an issue with

With Samson stepping in, Sh couldn’t throw her weight around anymore
“Mr. Stewart she switched to a polite face instantly. “Letitia stained my dress.”

“Right here. huh?” Sh looked down to find nothing Whatever was there got rubbed off in the scuffle.
It was just a smudge of cream, Sh was making a big deal out of it
“Are my eyes deceiving me? Samson spread his hands. “I don’t see it”
Vidonia chimed in, “Mr. Stewart, your eyes are just fine. It’s her heart that’s got problems!”
Sh was red with embarrassment
Why was Letitia always so lucky to have people helping her?
Grinding her teeth, Sh could only skulk away.
“Don’t go” said Samson, “Look, herees Gin. Let’s get his fair say.”
Elgin had appeared out of nowhere.
Hands in his trouser pockets, tall and cool, his gaze icy as it swept over everyone
“Mr. Ramirez!” Seeing him, Sh rushed over, “You gotta help me.”
He simply said. “The auction’s about to start.”

She red triumphantly at Letitia and strutted off on Elgin’s arm.

“Letitia, stop letting people walk all over you! You seem to have forgotten that you’re Mrs. Ramirez!!”
How could she allow a mistress to treat her like that? If this were Vidonia, she’d have made sure Sh

She stormed off, and Samson called after her, “Hey, don’t get so worked up.”

go to help those in need. And now, let’s reveal our first item up for bidding.
As the cloth was whisked away, an emerald bracelet came into everyone’s view
