    Cordelia stood up, leading Callum by the hand into the kitchen.

    "The kid''s kind of introverted, a bit thin." Ronan said, casting a nce at Jayson.


    Petra nearly spilled her water in surprise, "Yes, he is. I try to make his favorite meals. Will… will you


    stay for dinner?"


    "No, I have to pick up my son." Ronan nced at his watch, and it was already five o''clock.


    "Where is your son?"


    "At Cordelia''s."


    "Well, I''ve already got you some lemonade. Aren''t you going to drink it?" Petra looked disappointedly at


    the lemode swirling in the cup.


    "Next time." Said Ronan as he got up and left.


    "Next time" gave Petra endless hope, and she began to daydream about the future.


    As Ronan walked down the street, he received messages from an unknown contact. There were some


    pictures, one of Cordelia lying in bed with a man sitting next to her, watching her adoringly; the other of


    the man gifting Cordelia a plush toy and her smiling brightly at him. Thest picture was of Cordelia


    crying in the man''s arms.


    The pictures weren''t clear, seemingly taken through a window.


    Ronan grimaced, his ex-wife certainly had a colorful past.


    He knocked on Cordelia''s door. Cordelia answered, wearing an apron, her hair in a bun, and oven mitts


    on her hands.


    "You''re here. I''m making egg tarts for Callum." With that, Cordelia returned to the kitchen where a fresh


    batch of egg tarts was probably ready.


    Ronan entered, closing the door behind him.


    "Daddy, Mommy made egg tarts for me, and it smells so good. Do you want to try some?" Callum was


    happily eating his egg tart on the couch.


    "Mommy?" Ronan raised an eyebrow and nced towards the kitchen where Cordelia was busily


    moving around behind the frosted ss door.


    "Yeah. She''s your ex-wife, right? A man told me today." Callum continued, "The egg tart is really tasty.


    You wouldn''t let me eat it, but Mommy made it for me."


    Ignoring Callum, Ronan headed into the kitchen. Cordelia was checking the oven, pouring filling into


    new tart crusts; she was very busy. The kitchen was filled with the warm and sweet aroma of baking


    egg tarts.
