Chapter 450

    Chapter 450

Cordelia saw Ronan emerge and get into his car.

His car was parked close to where Cordelia was standing. Standing outside the driver''s side door, she

approached and asked Ronan, "How did your chat go?"

She was still on her cell phone, covering the mouthpiece. She sounded a bit distracted.

"How, did, the, chat, go?" Ronan repeated each word, one by one.

Earlier, Cordelia had left halfway through their meeting, very much like a sharp-eyed matchmaker

clearing the way for lovers. Now, she was asking him how the chat went.

    "Uh-huh." Cordelia nodded.

"I''ve got a car, a house, money, and she is talented. A perfect match," Ronan said.

"That''s not what I meant," Cordelia replied, her face crinkling into a scowl. "Why are you being so

sarcastic? She''s interested in her husband, not you. She wanted to catch up with an old ssmate.

Besides, you''re in your early thirties, isn''t it a bit nauseating to still be dating? Why would I even think

    along those lines?"

Ronan stared at Cordelia, ughing out of sheer frustration. What a way to phrase "early thirties.” "So,

only you, a twenty-something, is allowed to date? Old people aren''t allowed to be in love?" Ronan

mocked himself as an "old person."

Cordelia didn’t have a response. He obviously was hinting at something. Lately, Harold had been

pursuing her relentlessly. The whole campus was aware of it, and Ronan was using this to his

    advantage.

But she didn''t want to date a younger man, she even thought the idea of being single her whole life

    was quite appealing.

Cordelia lowered her gaze. In the moonlight, Cordelia’s face was dazzling. Ronan thought of Harold''s

painting titled "Porcin," and felt a surge of anger.

At that moment, Ronan''s arm reached out from the car window, pulling Cordelia towards him. Then, he

    kissed her deeply.

Cordelia felt as if her entire body was on fire, every single pore was opening, and her blood raced.

Whenever he kissed her, it was always this overwhelming, iparable feeling, a feeling she had

    missed.

After the kiss, Ronan looked at the stunned Cordelia. "Offended? Next time you want to introduce

someone to me, ask for my opinion first!"

"I wasn''t trying to set you up," Cordelia said innocently. They were all ssmates, besides, Petra had

long stopped loving Ronan. Why was he making such a fuss?

Seeing Cordelia’s confused expression, Ronan lit up a cigarette, "Do you know how I met Harold?"

    Cordelia shook her head.

"He''s Janice''s son." Ronan kept staring at Cordelia, watching her reaction. There was a trace of

maniption, a hint of revenge, and a touch of drama in his actions.

"Janice?" Cordelia finally remembered. Janice had once mentioned that her son was studying finance

at Birchwood College. But Cordelia had long forgotten about this. And even if she had remembered,

what were the odds of such a coincidence?

    Cordelia stood there, stunned.

No wonder Ronan had no reaction to her and Harold''s rtionship. He knew that it would never pass

Janice''s approval. Janice would never allow Ronan’s ex-wife to be involved with her son. It seemed

    Copyright N?v/el/Dra/ma.Org.

Cordelia''s past didn''t need to be revealed by herself; Janice would make everything clear to Harold.

Ronan was indeed devious. He knew exactly how things would unfold, yet he didn’t stop it, instead, he

was fanning the mes, talking about "destiny" and "a perfect couple." He had this in mind all along.

    He was so cunning!
