Deanna''s attention was quick to shift, no longer clutching Samantha''s hair as tightly as before. Only by
shifting Deanna''s focus onto Cordelia was Samantha able to devote her time and energy to her career.
"What do I do?" Deanna became suddenly anxious, thinking that Cordelia had no chance with Ronan
anymore. Suddenly, her eyes shifted again, "If it''s his, why doesn''t he say something?"
"It''s simple. He''s afraid you''ll try to harm Cordelia''s baby! Ronan is protective of Cordelia." Samantha
was a master at stirring the pot.
Deanna grew more anxious, realizing that the baby meant an inevitable connection to Cordelia, with an

Samantha found Adrian, who had been devastated by Ronan. He had broken up with Kendra, lost his

"Cordelia? Why bring her up again?" Ava was reluctant. The previous incident with the shirt had left a
sour taste in her mouth. After several conversations with Thomas reassuring her that the baby wasn''t
Jamie''s, she had been swayed.
But these past few days, Jamie had been locking himself in his room without speaking. She was
worried about her son. Despite her dislike for her future daughter-inw, she still cared for her son.
"My sister''s child is Jamie''s, you know that, right? Cordelia told me herself. But Ronan forced her to go
back to him. Cordelia is unhappy, but Ronan thinks the child is his. She told me the other day she
misses Jamie. Mr. Thomas doesn''t believe the child is Jamie’s because of his past with Ronan. But
ma''am, you need to know. Cordelia is pregnant with twins." Adrian said.
Ava furrowed her brows, wondering who to believe. "Alright, I understand. You can go. I''ll ask Jamie
and decide what to do next." Ava responded.
From Adrian''s perspective, he wanted Ava to bring Cordelia back. Ava thought, since Adrian was
Cordelia''s brother, he wouldn''t purposely put his sister in harm''s way.
