    "What''s going on?" Ronan asked as he walked in.


    "I''ve got a charley horse in my calf." Cordelia grimaced, the pain nearly bringing tears to her eyes.


    Ronan sat next to her and gently lifted her legs onto hisp. But now, the cramp had subsided. Cordelia


    started to question if it was all in her head. "It doesn''t hurt anymore." She quickly removed her legs


    from hisp.


    "Have you been taking your prenatal vitamins on time?" He asked Cordelia.


    "Uh-huh. I always take them on time." She assured him.


    "You''re lucky you haven''t been dealing with morning sickness." Ronan suddenlymented.


    Cordelia didn''t think much of it at first, but then she remembered that Ronan first suspected her


    pregnancy when she started vomiting.


    "Did I ever mention that?" Cordelia asked.


    "Don''t you remember?" Ronan questioned.


    "I did vomit a few times in the early stages of my pregnancy, but then it stopped." Cordelia exined.


    "Really?" After that, Ronan climbed into bed and started reading a book.


    "Are you sleeping here tonight?" Cordelia nced at him.


    "Where else?" Ronan asked.


    "Could you please listen to what Victoria said?" Cordelia asked.


    "What do you take me for?" Ronan retorted.


    Cordelia didn''t respond, but she thought to herself, of course, he’s like a pervert to her.


    The room was quiet that night so Cordelia quickly drifted into sleep. Around eleven, Ronan turned off


    the lights to sleep. ording to his usual temper, Cordelia should have been dead thousand times over


    today because of what he learned. She had a childhood sweetheart about to get married. She had


    another admirer, Edwin. She was secretly nning to study abroad; even though he deleted her


    emails, it did nothing to change her determination.
