"What is it that you seek?"
...
A mysterious voice echoed in the deepest recesses of my soul, resonating with my very essence, tearing at the already tattered remnants of my soul''s flame, which flickered precariously, as if on the verge of extinguishing.
My memories had long been shattered, leaving only fragments, quietly awaiting their final erasure. Yet, that enigmatic voice continued to reverberate, its power speaking of infinite greatness, compelling me to submit, to merge with that vast existence.
But I knew that if I yielded, everything that I was would vanish—my existence, my memories, everything!
The rending of my soul persisted, as if the great being was unsatisfied, delving deeper into the flames of my soul, seeking an answer.
"What is it that you seek?"
...
Yes, what is it that I seek?
Unconsciously, I began to question myself. The core of my soul responded, suddenly revealing countless fragmented images!
Seeing those images, I understood—they were my life, a life of calm, uneventful monotony!
Born into an ordinary family, like most people, with no extraordinary signs at my birth. I spent a carefree childhood, followed the predetermined path of schooling, and was destined to graduate, work, marry, and have children. Apart from watching anime, playing games, indulging in fantasies, and finding small joys, my life should have passed uneventfully.
But why did a voice in my heart always tell me that this was not what I needed?
The only difference in this mundane life was the death brought upon me by the issue of property, wasn''t it?
Yet, I did not fear death itself; my only concern was whether my parents would grieve, whether their sorrow would harm their health.
Now, upon reflection, this obscure life filled me with such hatred. If I had the power, if I could surpass everyone, then none of this would have happened. To obtain all that I desired, to strive and surpass everyone—that process would surely bring me a life of passion unlike any I had known before.
Yes, that is what I seek—the thrilling desire to surpass all things in this world!
"What is it that you seek?"
"What I seek is transcendence! Be it miracles or divine acts, nothing shall stand in my way. I will surpass it all and reach the supreme throne of heaven!"
With a voice strained to its limits, I responded to the question from the unknown. In this place where no sound should exist, where a soul should not emit sound, an unimaginable power erupted. The core of my soul exploded like the Big Bang, propelling this voice outward!
...
Silence, endless silence, as if the voice was contemplating, offering no response. But I finally regained my own consciousness from the shattered soul, and now could only wait quietly.
"With what do you seek?"
Finally, the voice seemed to have finished its contemplation, and its endless discourse began to change, but a new question arose.
Yes, with what do I transcend? Now that my consciousness had returned, I could finally think, sinking into my thoughts, my mind echoing with my life''s journey. Specific memories had been lost in the soul''s fragmentation, but the general experiences were still deeply etched in my soul. And among them, what was most deeply imprinted was...
A raging fire, the splatter of blood, the wails of death...
These final impressions of life suddenly made me realize—that was what I needed!
"As you wish!" Finally satisfied, the mysterious voice, upon my decision, erupted like thunder, its power sweeping through everything in my soul like a stone cast into water!
In my soul''s perspective, everything before me was pitch black, devoid of any light, with nothing to perceive except my own consciousness!
Now, this silent space, under the power of that voice, suddenly collapsed. Countless fine cracks, like a spider''s web, crisscrossed the endless darkness. And what lay beyond those cracks was not the long-awaited light, but...
Blood flames, manifested flames of blood, carrying the power of death, they emerged from the void, forming a world of crimson fire! In the next instant, this world, like the end of the universe, pulled the soul consciousness at its center like a whale sucking in water!
Feeling these endless blood flames, like a weary bird returning to its nest, surging toward "myself," my consciousness immersed in the flames, yet feeling no pain, only a warmth like that of a mother''s embrace. I could clearly feel that "I" was being reborn within those crimson flames!
The infinite flames gathered in one place, and slowly, under the scorching of these deathly flames, a "person" gradually emerged.
My soul and consciousness grew more and more joyful. The blood flames, as if sentient, slowly nourished my soul, which had been damaged to the point of near extinction. Memories that had dissipated with my soul were also being reclaimed. And in this process of reconstruction, I could feel unknown knowledge filling my soul.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
Finally, the flames ceased to burst forth from the void, and my body became increasingly clear. Eagerly, I opened my eyes, but I also knew that some details of my memories were permanently lost, as the soul''s fragmentation had lasted too long, merging into this sea of origin!
Yes, the Sea of Origin! From the knowledge imparted by the blood flames, I learned the name of this place!
Observing the world of my rebirth with my vision, it had no color, yet seemed to contain all the colors of the world. This was a world indescribable by language, seemingly empty, yet upon closer perception, containing everything. Everything you could imagine, all the knowledge you couldn''t comprehend, could be found in this "sea" before you!
For this was the beginning of all things, and also their end. This was the deepest part of the multiverse, the Sea of Origin!
Once again immersed in the newly acquired knowledge, though some detailed memories were lost in the reconstruction by the blood flames, I was satisfied. Losing a few insignificant memories in exchange for such an adventure and rebirth was a deal too good for anyone to pass up!
...
The Sea of Origin, simply put, is the place of the world''s beginning and end. The infinite worlds of the multiverse are born here, and when they perish, they return here, like the cycle of life and death!
Thus, this place holds the knowledge and power of these infinite worlds. As a human, a being insignificant compared to the multiverse, if my soul had not perished after death, it should have followed the laws of my world, reincarnating within it. But due to the mysterious power within that jade pendant, my soul, wrapped in that power, was recognized by the Sea of Origin as a world, thus bringing me here!
One can imagine the greatness and mystery of the power contained within that small jade pendant. Just that single strand of power was as mighty as an entire world!
Such power completely surpassed my understanding!
...
Origin is a concept possessed by every existence. Souls reincarnate infinitely; when a being dies, its soul sheds all past existence and enters reincarnation, repeating this cycle endlessly. Then, at the very beginning, where did the first soul originate?
It was born in the Primal Sea of the world. The Sea of Origin gives birth to worlds, and the core of each world is its Primal Sea. All souls are born within it, flowing into the world''s interior. From the start, they are destined with their own flow, each a concept. But as souls leave the Primal Sea and enter the world, they become tainted, and when they incarnate as living beings, their original concept and flow are obscured. Yet, it is because of this that a being''s own nature overcomes its origin, and each species lives according to its own way of life, not its soul''s origin.
Few can cleanse the taint of the world from their souls, returning to their original pure state, thus awakening their origin. But those who do awaken their origin instinctively delve deeper into exploring it!
Yet, most perish in this process of exploration. If a person''s origin is the concept of "curiosity," then upon awakening, they would follow this concept, becoming curious about everything, using all means to satisfy themselves! But human society does not allow such unrestrained behavior. In satisfying your curiosity, you might break taboos, breach the barriers of rules, and such actions, infringing upon the interests of many, would only lead to your demise!
If someone awakens their origin and follows it without being consumed by it, then as they delve deeper, their power naturally grows stronger. They might even trace the direction of their origin back to the Primal Sea. At that point, if they possess sufficient knowledge, will, and power to resist the world''s assimilation, they could act as a world does, capable of all that a world can achieve!
Even more, if one can use the world to reach the Sea of Origin, the birthplace and graveyard of the multiverse, becoming an omnipotent "god" is no longer a delusion!
Of course, reaching the Primal Sea, or even the Sea of Origin, is not limited to awakening one''s origin. There are myriad paths, as the saying goes, "three thousand great paths," each with its own method to reach the destination! Awakening one''s origin is the simplest, yet also the most difficult method!
Simple because one only needs to follow the direction of their origin, delving deeper to reach it. Difficult because no being can guarantee they can resist the pure concept of their soul''s origin. No matter how powerful, when facing the original direction of their soul, they are no different from the powerless—their starting point is the same! It has nothing to do with will, power, or wisdom, but more with luck and the irresistible force of fate.
