Chapter 414 Pretend To Be A Couple
Scarlett was afraid that her lies would be exposed, so she decided to find an excuse to escape
halfway. But to her surprise, Jack''s gentle voice rang in her ear. Stroking her hair gently, he asked,
"Are you having a party with your friends?"
"Why are you here?" Scarlett was stunned, her mouth agape.
Jack looked at her with a faint smile. "I happened to pass by here. Is the party over? Come with
me."
With a gentle smile, she nodded and followed him out obediently. Her eyes were full of expectation
when she looked at him. "Jack, where are we going?"
He curled his lips as his eyes emitted a murderous aura. "Scarlett, what is Article 6 in our
agreement?"
"I..." Scarlett stammered.
She was too scared to look at him as she could feel the killing intent in his eyes. She couldn''t help
trembling.

He said coldly, "You seem to forget so soon. What did I tell you when we signed the agreement?"

in the newspaper. I just told them about it, nothing more."
Jack nced at her coldly. "If I find out that you vite our agreement again, you won''t like the
consequences. Don''t forget that."
He then turned around and left. Scarlett wanted to catch up with him, but she got too scared just
now that her legs felt weak. After taking two steps forward, she knelt down on the ground.
Rachel had much leisure time in her work in the executive department. She had been sitting there
the whole morning, with nothing to do. She stood up and went to the pantry to get a ss of water.
She was on her way back to her office when one of her colleagues shouted, "Who is avable? Can
someone send these documents to the outpatient department? I''m really tired now."
But everyone lowered their heads, pretending to be busy with their own tasks. Obviously, they didn''t

Rachel stopped at her colleague''s desk and smiled. "Give me the documents. I''ll take them there for
you."

when will you pick me up? I''m already done here."

The nurse kept on bbering on the other end of the line, but Celia was not in the mood to listen
anymore. Without saying a word, she hung up.
Marcus had just came back. He bought some breakfast outside. Since Celia was not in the living
room, he went to the bedroom. Seeing that she was still in bed, he came to her and hugged her
from behind. In a gentle voice, he said, "I brought some breakfast. Let''s go out and eat together."
Celia forced a smile, but the frown on her face was still visible. "I have no appetite yet."
Thinking that she was sick, Marcus touched her forehead. "You don''t have a fever. Are you not
feeling well? Do you feel ufortable? I bought your favorite steamed buns and millet porridge."
Celia suddenly remembered what the nurse had said to her just now. She irritably closed her eyes
and said coldly, "I just have no appetite. Why do you have so many questions?"
Marcus was stunned for a moment. He couldn''t understand why Celia was so angry all of a sudden
in the early morning. She was just fine when they went to bedst night.
He leaned forward and said carefully, "Okay. If you don''t want to eat, then let''s not eat."
"Why not? You already bought the food." Celia seemed to be making trouble out of nothing.
Marcus frowned and asked tentatively, "Then shall we eat?"
"Take them to your own home. I don''t want you to stay here any longer. I''m so annoyed to see your
face." Celia crossed her arms over her chest and turned her back on him.
Marcus was dumbfounded. As the saying went, "Birds of the same feather, flock together." He was
afraid that it wouldn''t be long before he bes the second Jack.
Feeling confused and aggrieved, he went to the living room and waited until her anger dissipated.
He had no idea that Celia was upset because of what Jack did. And since he was Jack''s best friend,
Celia was annoyed with him as well.
Rachel had been everyone''s topic in the hospital the whole day. However, she seemed not to mind
it as she busied herself with her work. When it was time to go home, she turned off herputer
and left.
She was standing at the hospital gate, waiting for a taxi when a ck car stopped in front of her.
The window slowly rolled down, then Jack said in a deep voice, "Get in the car."
Pretending not to hear him, she walked around the corner indifferently and stood at the back of the
car. A taxi happened to being towards her, so she hailed it immediately. When Jack got out of
his car, the taxi had already driven away. It was toote to stop it.
