Chapter 607 Terences Different Experience

    Chapter 607 Terence''s Different Experience

"Yes, Uncle James. Terence came with me! He''lleter,"

    said Ca.

Even after whatever had happened between her and her uncles, Uncle James and Uncle Mike bore no

    grudges against her.

They did not have a petty nature.

However, her words made Uncle James panic.

He was afraid the crowd would irritate Terence, and make him angry.

"Ted, be quick. Go and meet Mr. Terence right away, He should''ve been here by now. I hope to god he

is alright!" said James, then sat himself on a chair.

But he was too anxious to rx. A secondter, he rose again, urging to his wife, "Honey, quick! Get a

room ready for Mr. Terence. Make sure it''sfortable enough for him! And what about lunch? Is it

    ready?"

He then turned to Ca. "Ca, you must stay here and rest. Make yourself at home. I am going to

look for Mr. Terence with Mike. Hopefully, we will meet him halfway."

Ca responded with a gentle nod.

After they left, Ca called Terence.

Meanwhile, Sean was summoned to another room to have a chat with his aunts.

"Terence, where are you? Uncle James just left to look for you. Are you alright?"

    "Yes...I''m almost there,"

Terence replied in a calm tone.

"Really? I''m afraid this vige is too lousy to wee you. I told you not toe with me,"

    she said jokingly.

She had indeed tried to discourage him froming but he insisted on it. Sometimes, he just wouldn''t

    listen.

"No, of course not. I''m going to spend the night on the helicopter. What do you think?"

Terence asked gently. Since the trip from JA City was long, it would be very tiring for him to leave on

    the same day.

The truth was, Terence didn''t like to stay in someone else''s house.

He preferred to stay in a hotel whenever he was out for business. The hotels he picked were the kind

that suited his requirements and lifestyle.

"We can figure that out once you get here. Please try toe as soon as possible, honey. Bye! See

    you soon!"

After hanging up, Ca looked around the courtyard. Somehow, it seemed both familiar and strange to

    Content bel0ngs to N?vel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

    her.

Her father had spent his entire childhood in this house. He''d left for town after growing up. But he

always visited with Ca and Sean to meet their grandparents.

Sadly, her grandparents had passed away too soon.

What was devastating was after a few years, her father passed away too. Uncle James moved into this

house and renovated it in their grandparents'' memory. It lookedpletely new, but the feeling of

    familiarity stayed.

In the next room, Sean was chatting with his aunt.

"It''s been so long since I saw youst! You''re so much taller! How fast you have grown up, Sean!"

She paused, sighed, and then spoke again, "Time really flies! We''re old now, and you are a young man

at the cusp of your marrying age!"

Incidentally, Ca stepped into the room at the same time.

Cheryl stood up and held her hand as soon as she saw her.

"Oh, Ca! Come and sit with me. You poor thing. How have you been, my love? Have the past years

    been tough on you?

We were devastated to hear you were dead! It just seemed so unfair...first your father, then you..."

Cheryl stopped there, too sad to go on. She took a deep breath, then added, "I felt distressed every

time I thought about what happened to you.

I can''t thank god enough that you are back!

I was thrilled the day I found out you were alive and headed to church immediately to thank god for

    your life!"

There were tears in Cheryl''s eyes. Ca could see how grateful she was. Sincerely, she responded,

"Thank you so much, Aunt Cheryl! Perhaps it was due to your prayers that I could get back safely."

"Honey, you are such a sweet girl," Cheryl smiled, patting the back of Ca''s hand. "As long as you

and Sean are safe, we have nothing to worry about."

    Ca nodded slightly.

Regardless of what they had done to her in the past, Ca was touched by her sincere words.

This was her father''s home. Even though she was an adopted child, she believed she deserved to be

    treated like family.

"Sean, is that you? Are you really back?"

The voice of a young girl interrupted Ca''s thoughts.

The girl stood at the door. She was about fifteen years old, rather tall for her age. She wore a cotton,

floral dress, whichplemented her gentle body.

"Oh, Sean. Do you remember Jane? She is my niece. You are both around the same age. Remember

how you yed together when you were little?"

Cheryl introduced Jane to Sean with excitement, reaching out for Jane''s hand to get her closer.

Once she walked in the room, Cheryl moved over and let her sit next to Sean.

    "Sean, do you remember me?"

asked Jane shyly. She was a pretty and gentle girl. She hadn''t seen Sean for several years but

remembered him distinctly. Part of her had always hoped for his return.

"...... Yes, of course I do,"

said Sean, nodding slowly. Actually he didn''t recall herpletely. They were both so young when he

    had left.

"Really? We talked about you so much after you left. I am surprised you are back!"

Jane was so excited to see him she involuntarily held his hand in her own. Her expression was pure,

    eyes filled with affection.

    "...... Mom! Uncle Sean! I''ming!"

Sally came in running, shouting in her cute, little voice.

"Ca, is this your daughter? What a beautiful girl!"

    Cheryl asked with a smile.

Sally had already wrapped herself around her mother''s legs.

"Yes, this is my little girl, Sally. Sally, this is your grandmother, Cheryl."

Ca introduced the two while stroking Sally''s head gently, which was tied in several little its.

"Hello, Cheryl. Nice to meet you!"

    Sally greeted politely.

Even though Sally now lived in JA City, which was a big modern city, she grew up in BT Vige. It was

a small vige simr to this one, so she didn''t feel any difort being here.

    But Terence felt differently.

The environment of the vige was a little wild and rough, which was a little too much for Terence who

had spent most of his life in a big, clean, extremelyfortable mansion with a view of the sea. It was

a challenge for him to adapt to the vige setting.

Through the window, Ca spotted Terence and James walking toward the house.

Nathan and Rainer stood guard at the door to stop the vigers from entering the house and disturbing

    them.

"Oh, dear Sally, here you are!"

Cheryl took some ''lucky money'' from her pocket and gave it to Sally. It was their traditional way of

expressing kindness, goodwill and love for a child upon meeting them for the first time.

"Oh, Aunt Cheryl, you really don''t have to!"

Ca had quite a lot of rtives here. Cheryl''s doing so for Sally would mean doing it for all of them,

and they were not particrly rich. Even this little money meant a lot. Ca didn''t want them to suffer

    financially because of her.

But Cheryl insisted. "Oh, please, Ca! This is tradition! Your father was James''s little brother. You and

Sean are like my own children. I really want to give Sally this money and wish her well," she said.

After taking a pause, she added reluctantly, "I know you are well off now, and this little money isn''t

going to change anything, but this is custom!"

Ca felt a wave of warmth surge through her body. She could feel how kind Cheryl was. Besides, it

wasn''t polite to refuse ''lucky money'', as it was ritualistic. Ca smiled at her, and epted the money.

After chatting with her for a while, Ca stepped out of the room and walked to the courtyard. Sean

was ying with Sally in the courtyard.

At the gate stood some vigers, trying to stick their heads in, curious about what was happening in the

    house.

All they knew was that some big shots from a big city hade to their vige. They didn''t know who

they were but were eager to find out.

Just then, Ca saw Terence sitting on the living room sofa.

James and Mike were sitting opposite him.

"Ca,e over here! Lunch is almost ready. You can wait here..." Mike said, waving his hand at

    Ca.

To make sure Ca and Terence were treated well, Mike had gone to the nearby town and invited a

chef from the best restaurant there to prepare lunch for them.

Ca nodded, then walked over and sat next to Terence.

"How are you doing? Do you regreting here already?" she whispered to Terence.

Terence''s gaze was stuck to a ss that was kept on the table in front of him. It was clean but had

some lousy tea leaf at its rim.

He curved his lips into a smile. "No, not at all. It is actually quite fun to experience such a pristine,

    beautiful ce..."

Ca raised her eyebrows. Right before she was going to ask another question, the sound of the door

cracking open caught her attention. She turned and saw all the kids of the Ji family crowd in the room.

They had alle to greet her and Terence.

"Good afternoon, Aunt Ca, Uncle Terence."

Terence smiled and nodded at them politely. He then called out to Rainer.

    "Rainer,e in please!"

Rainer stepped into the room with some red packets in his hands. He passed them to the kids one by

    one.

Nathan followed shortly, carrying some boxes of Mao-tai. It was a kind of wine, which was very

    expensive and famous.

James was so thrilled he couldn''t keep his eyes off the boxes.

However, he responded with modesty. "Oh, Terence! You didn''t have to! That must have cost you a lot!"

Mike coughed slightly. He realized what a pity it was that he didn''t treat Ca and Terence in his own

    house.
