Chapter 563 Godmother
"I don''t need it,"
Terence responded in a calm and collected voice.
Then, he looked into the far distance while he put his hands inside his pockets. He sighed, "Rainer, can
you see yourself living in this ce for four years?"
Rainer thought for a while. He then promptly shook his head and replied, "I can''t. I can''t even stay here
for a month, much less, a year or at worst, four. They don''t have mobile connection or Wi-Fi. The only
purpose of my phone in this kind of ce is for checking the time and taking photos."
Terence didn''t react. His eyes remained fixated into the far distance.
"But Ca had stayed in this ce for four whole years. Where had I been? Where was I when she
was suffering in here? I had been in sorrow for two years andpletely forgotten about her for
another two years. What I experienced was nothingpared to what she had been through. I can''t
feel sorry for myself," Terence stated with a hint of regret and self-me in this voice.
He had left his wife and daughter to live in this horrible condition for four years.
Terence felt that he had extremely failed to fulfill his promise of protecting Ca for the rest of her life.
"Mr. Terence, please don''t me yourself. This ce is isted from the rest of the world. No one
would be able to find it without a guide,"
Rainerforted Terence after seeing how bad he was feeling.
"Man-made and natural disasters are out of control! No matter what happened in the past and every
circumstance that came with it, the important thing right now is that Mrs. Ca is back. Sometimes,
great thingse a littlete, but eventually, they doe. We should look ahead rather than stay in
the past. Don''t you think so, Mr. Terence?"
Terence took a deep breath and slowly closed his eyes.
"That''s true. Right at this moment, right here, I swear on all I hold dear that I am going to defend Ca
for the rest of my life!" Terence eximed with all the confidence that he had.
He then continued, "If I fail, then I shall follow her to the other side immediately."
When Rainer heard that, he was incredibly astounded. He cried out, "Mr. Terence, don''t say that!"
The truth, however, was that no one knew what was going to happen next.
But one thing was for sure, God was very merciful, shinning his light on everyone with kindness in their
hearts. They could only be hopeful that a day like what Terence had stated would note.
Knowing how much they loved each other, God even built a strong wall to protect them for the rest of
their lives.
The next morning, a ray of sunlight burst out through the clouds, through the windows and on Ca''s
face.
"You''re awake," said Terence.
Ca heard him as she started to stretch her body that was aching a little from sleep. Then, she
opened her eyes and saw Terence who was lying sideways while he was looking at her.
It looked like he had been watching her for a while from thefortable position that he was in.
"Where is Sally?"
After a yawn, she asked while she buried herself in thefort of his arms.
Property belongs to N?vel(D)r/ama.Org.
"She''s already ying with her friends outside. Don''t worry. Nathan and Rainer are keeping their eyes
on them. If you want to sleep more, go ahead," Terence gently said while he began to fix her messy
hair.
Ca nodded. She rubbed her face in his chest, held his waist and closed her eyes one more time.
A whileter, she was finally awake. Then, she got up and looked for Sally.
After saying their goodbyes to Cathy and the others, Ca, Terence and Sally got on the helicopter that
was waiting for them.
Finally, they were on their way back home to JA City.
Although Sally didn''t want to leave, she knew even at that age that they needed to go back to their own
home.
A few moments after they arrived at the Vi, Violet called.
"Ca, where were you? I haven''t been able to get hold of you since yesterday!"
Violet''s voice reverberated through the other side of the line. She had been worried about Ca''s
whereabouts since yesterday.
"Don''t worry! I''mpletely fine. I just went to a vige in the mountains. There wasn''t any signal in
there that''s why you weren''t able to contact me. So, what''s up? What''s so important that you kept
calling me?"
Ca asked while she poured a cup of water for herself. Then, she quickly took a sip of it.
Meanwhile, Terence had been away from his work for the past couple of days. There were a lot of tasks
that he needed to take care of. He went straight to work right after they came back.
"Ca, I... I... It''s hard to say it through the phone. I''m going to your ce with my son right now. How
about that?"
Violet tried to talk about it, but she decided that it would be better to tell Ca in person.
Sitting on the couch, Ca smiled, "Okay, I''m home right now. Come over! I don''t have anything to do
this afternoon! Our kids can meet up too!"
"Great! I''m on my way right now!" Violet excitedly responded. Ca could actually hear amotion at
the other end of the line. She could only imagine how quickly Violet was preparing to go out.
After hanging up the phone, Ca raised one of her eyebrows and wondered if what Violet wanted to
talk about had something to do with William.
She figured that it wouldn''t really be a bad thing if Violet ended up marrying the guy. If that was the
case, she would have a trusted friend in JA City and her daughter would have an excellent ymate.
It was about half an hourter when they heard the sound of a car outside the Vi.
Violet hastily came over with a little boy who looked exactly like a little William.
"Cody,e over! This is your godmother!" Violet called out to the little boy as she urged him to
approach them.
Upon hearing that title, Ca almost chocked on her drink. "Violet, when did I be your son''s
godmother?"
"Oh, I see. You don''t like it? That''s cool. Take him as your future son-inw then. I''m okay with that too
since son-inw is like half a son. I don''t see any difference. But, I''mpletely fine with whatever you
prefer."
Violet pulled his son over and asked him to give Ca a kowtow.
Ca wiped the water on the corner of her lips andughed, "Violet, what are you doing? It''s the first
time that we''re meeting each other! Are you in such a hurry to let him marry into my family?"
"Hmm... If he''s going to marry into any other bride''s family, I will definitely object to it. But if it was your
family, I don''t have anything against it. Why don''t you keep him as a ''Child Groom*''?"
TN*: Many abductions involve infant or toddler girls being taken to serve as "Child Brides" who were
sold to families desperate for daughters-inw in a culture short of women who are in an appropriate
age for marriage. A younger boy is considered as a "Child Groom". In this content, Violet was making a
joke about her son.
Violet lightly said as she nced at an astonished Cody who was only four years old at that time.
"Mother, are you sure you''re my real mother?"
Cody asked while he gave Violet a reproachful look.
Caughed while she looked at this strange yet hrious interaction of a mother and son. Then, she
called on Sally toe downstairs.
In a few heartbeats, Sally was on her way down.
Before Ca could say anything, Violet noticed Sally the second she walked out of the elevator. Her
eyes lit up when she saw Sally in a cute dress. She patted her son''s shoulder and said, "Cody, look!
That''s your future wife! Go and say hi to her!"
With all themotion that his mother was making, it was hard for Cody not to look into Sally''s
direction. She was in a pink and white dress. She had a little baby fat on her cheeks, and her big eyes
were bright and clear. He looked at her with so much curiosity.
For some unknown reasons, Cody suddenly felt nervous. At that moment, he really didn''t know what to
say.
"He-hello, how are you? I-I''m Cody. What''s your name?" The little boy struggled to get his words out.
Sally looked at this little boy who was about her age, and she noticed that he was a bit taller than her.
"My name is Sandra, but you can call me Sally," she said with a little smile.
Cody tried to say something back, but Sally walked over to Ca and said, "Mommy! Why did you
make mee down?"
"Sally, this is your Auntie Violet!" Ca picked Sally up and introduced Violet to her.
Even though they just met, Violet was already very fond of Sally. She was a bit jealous of Ca for
having such an adorable daughter. "Come over here! Let me take a good look at you!" Violet smiled
warmly at Sally while she gestured for the little girl to approach her.
A lot of mothers with a son would often feel jealous of mothers with a daughter.
Sally wasn''t too shy. She walked over to Violet and sweetly said, "Whoa, Auntie Violet? You are so
pretty! But my Mommy is a tiny bit prettier than you!" Sally looked innocent as she stared at Violet in
awe.
Violetughed outughed when she heard Sally. She then looked at Ca and eximed, "Ca, your
daughter is so cute!"
She then turned her attention back on Sally and said, "Of course! Your mommy was the second
prettiest girl back in college!"
At that, Ca seemed to remember something and asked Violet, "Oh, speaking about the prettiest girl
in college, do you know how Ruth is doing right now? I remember that she used to bully you back
then."
As Violet was talking, Ca reached her hand out and signaled for Cody toe closer. When he did,
she gave him a candy.
"Oh, right. I haven''t really heard anything from her. Do you know anything about her?" Ca replied.
Violet then responded with a smile on her face.
