Chapter 555 Let''s Drink Spirits!
Ca and Violet were talking avidly, so they didn''t notice that William hade in with Theo.
"So you haven''t seen William since you left him, have you?"
Ca asked with a sigh after looking at Violet and seeing how sad she looked.
Violet shook her head and answered, "No, I haven''t seen him since. Ca, do you have any idea, how
I''m feeling? I don''t hate that woman who destroyed my rtionship with William.
But I hate him for letting here between us.
His love for me was not enough, so we couldn''t ovee the challenge lying in front of us. Even if I
were to forgive him, probably another woman would show up. As the saying goes, once a cheater,
always a cheater! I''m sure he would make the same choice next time. So I left him!"
Violet smiled with teary eyes. She then added, "Now, I know our love would notst forever. So I think I
shouldn''t keep wasting my time being with him!"
"But it''s been almost five years since you left him. How do you know if his love for you hasn''t
changed?"
Ca stretched out her hand and patted Violet on the back, trying tofort her.
Ca also hadn''t seen William for a long time but,st time they met four years ago, she could tell that
William had realized how much he loved Violet.
Some people were like this. When they had someone in their lives, they wouldn''t think about them too
much.
But once they lose this person, they would find out that they loved that person more than they could
imagine. Ca now thought that William was just this kind of person.
"Anyway, let''s forget about it! I''m living a good life now. My job is stable and my son is obedient. And
the best thing is that I don''t have to rely on men!" Violetughed, pretending to be indifferent. She
raised the ss in her hand and asked, "Ca, are you going to have a drink with me or not?"
"Of course I am!"
Ca answered without hesitation. She then raised her ss and cheered with Violet.
As this strong drink passed through her throat, she frowned with disgust. This was a very strong
alcoholic drink and she wasn''t used to it. She couldn''t help but ask, "Wow, Violet! I thought it was white
wine! What the hell is in this ss? Are you drinking spirits now?"
That ss looked just like a ss of white wine, and that was why Ca had grabbed it without

"Wine?! No, no, no, that''s not fun! We rarely meet, so we must drink something stronger!"
Violet took a sip, put down the ss and pointed to a bottle of spirits saying, "That bottle of spirits was
made by an old man whom I met in my workce. It is strong but you won''t feel ufortable after
drinking it. It will not give you a hangover. Come on! Let''s enjoy our drinks!
And I still brought two bottles for you. Take them with you when you leave."
Ca looked at the bottle without any appetite for it and said, "Violet, this spirit is too strong and spicy. I
think we''d better drink something else."
"No way! I want to drink this today! Sometimes, the bitterness in people''s heart must beforted by
the spice and strength of the spirits. So, today, this is all I am going to drink!"
Violet said, raising up her ss and having another gulp.
Since Violet was so determined, Ca didn''t have the heart to refuse her and decided to apany
Violet.
The two friends were enjoying their drinks while talking andughing.
While behind them, there were three men sitting not very far from them.
Theo shook the wine ss in his hand and tasted it. Noticing that Terence was ncing at the bar from
time to time, he felt interested and asked, "Who are you looking at, Terence? Why are you always
shooting nces at the bar?
Do you have a crush on a new girl?"
Ca and Violet were sitting at the bar with their backs to them, so Theo couldn''t see them.
"New girl?! Nonsense! Come on! Let''s have a toast with my wife!"
Terence said, grabbing his red wine ss from the table and walking towards Ca and Violet.
Terence thought Theo should meet Ca because they hadn''t seen each other since Ca came back.
Hearing Terence''s words, Theo was stunned for a while. Soon, he realized what Terence meant. He
immediately stood up and said to William, "Bro, wait a moment. I''ll go there for a while!"
Then Theo grabbed his red wine ss and followed Terence.
Ca, who was drinking spirits and chatting happily, looked up and saw Terence walking towards her
gracefully with a red wine ss in his hand.
"Ca!" Terence called her.
"My dear husband, you arrived just in time! Hurry up! Sit down! Drink this for me or you will have to
carry me!"
Ca pulled Terence''s arm, stood up to give him her sit and then put her ss of spirits in front of him.
This spirit was too strong! She hadn''t drunk anything so strong before so it was getting a little hard for

Terence frowned and looked at his fully filled ss. Then, he nced at Ca and saw her cheeks
flushed after drinking two sses.
He didn''t hesitate and drank it all at once with a frown.
"Wow, Ca, your husband is really cool!"
Violet boasted and filled his ss again.
"Of course! My man can drink! A ss of spirits is just water for him."
Ca said with a bright smile. Then, she noticed Theo standing closely so she immediately took an
empty ss and poured the spirits for him.
"Hello, Mr. Theo! Come on! Let''s have a drink together!"
Theo noticed Ca''s enthusiasm so he didn''t refuse her. He turned to Violet and said, "Madam, do you
mind if sit beside you?"
Violet moved indicating that he could sit down.
Theo then sat beside Violet and said to Ca, "I think I should propose a toast in your honor. Four
years has passed. It''s really worth celebrating to see you back!"
"Really?! Then, let''s drink!" Ca said excitedly.
She then grinned and added, "You came at the right time. Violet was justining that no one could
drink with her."
Then, she turned to Violet and introduced them, "Violet, this is Mr. Theo. Since you two have the fate to
meet each other, you should drink together!"
Violet stood up to face Theo and introduced herself.
"Hi! Mr. Theo, my name is Violet. I''m Ca''s friend!"
The four of them all stood up and had a drink together.
Back at the table, William was sitting alone and waiting for Theo toe back, noticing these four
people together celebrating.
It was a little noisy inside the pub so he couldn''t hear what they were talking about. But he saw Ca
sitting there.
William originally thought Theo was drinking with Terence''s second wife Lucy, so he didn''t follow them.
But when he saw Ca, he stood up and nned to walk up to meet them.
Ca was Violet''s friend and he had also met Ca before, so he thought he should go and say hi.
