Chapter 423 A Family Reunion

    Chapter 423 A Family Reunion

Upon seeing that he had left the room, Ca smiled faintly. She picked up a pen and started listing

rtives who should be invited to the wedding.

After her parents passed away, she had barely visited those rtives. But since this marriage

ceremony was just once in her lifetime, she thought that it was proper to invite them to the party to

    celebrate with her.

She even nned to invite all the rtives whose names she could remember.

Uncles, aunts, cousins, and even grandparents.

But she wanted to make sure that her rtives must not sit at the same table with the Hua family. They

never knew her real identity. More importantly, she didn''t want Sean to know.

So she must be cautious about it.

After Terence came out, he saw that Ca was writing her list while she still wore the face mask.

He walked to her and tore that sheet of paper away from her hands. He lifted her up in his arms and

    carried her towards the bathroom.

Ca ripped off the mask away from face and red at him with full of hostility.

"What the hell are you doing? I''m almost finished!" She shouted at him.

Terence only snorted and replied, "I''m giving you one minute to wash your face. If you arete, don''t

expect me to show any mercy in bed tonight. And I''m afraid that you won''t be able to get out of bed

    tomorrow morning."

"What the hell, Terence? Ugh. Alright already! Just give me a second!" Ca kept herself busy with the

list and it slipped out of her mind that she was supposed to spend some time with Terence. After she

had washed and dried her face, she finally walked out of the bathroom.

The moment she stepped into the bedroom, she felt as if a strong hurricane had enveloped her.

Terence filled her with kisses as he drowned into the intense fires of his burning passion and love for

    her.

Ca smiled bitterly and thought that she should satisfy this wild man more often. Otherwise, she

would end up being sore in bed.

As their bodies swayed together during the kisses, they found themselves lying in bed. Both of them

    gasped for air.

Even if Terence tried to be tender and soft to her, her body was still sore.

Then she turned to look at Terence who was lying on top of her and softly whispered, "Terence?"

"Yes?" Terence replied. Then he threw his arms around her and gave her a peck on her lips. "I''m sorry,

Ca, I should have gone easy on you. But I just couldn''t help it. You''re so beautiful."

"I''m fine, Terence. There''s something I wanted to tell you though." Ca stroked his soft hair and

continued, "My mom wants me to go home to the Hua family.

And I think it''s best for me to go home and prepare for our wedding too. What do you think?"

Upon hearing what she had said, Terence''s eyebrows furrowed deeply. "You''re going to go back home?

    To the Hua family?"

"Of course. Otherwise, how can you pick me up from my home on our wedding day?" Ca replied,

    nodding her head.

Terence only went silent and tightened his grip around her shoulder.

Then he opened his mouth after a short pause, "I know that but I don''t want to be apart from you even

    for a single second."

Caughed amused at him and stroked his handsome face with her soft hands.

"Don''t worry. After we get married, we''ll have plenty of time to be with each other. I''m just afraid you

might get bored once you have to see the same old silly face every single day for the rest of your life.

What''s wrong with letting you miss me for a few days?"

Terence looked deeply into her eyes and held her wrist. "Ca, you know that our time on Earth is

limited. I want to be with you every chance I get. I don''t want to regret it in the future.

We don''t exactly know what will happen the next second. There is no guarantee that we will lead a long

life and everything will be smooth sailing after we get married.

Every moment with you is precious and invaluable, so I want to seize every chance to be with you."

Ca felt a pang of sorrow in her chest and gently pinched his cheek, "What''s wrong, love? Why did

you suddenly say something like that? That''s really sweet of you, you know. How could I not know that

you are such a big romantic from the inside?"

"What I said aren''t just empty words. I really meant them. I learned it from my grandfather. When he

underwent the operation, he would always talk about those things and feel there wasn''t much time left

for him in the world." Terence tightly held her hands and kissed them.

He reminisced the time before his grandfather''s operation. It was true no one knew what would happen

    the next second.

His grandfather taught him a lot of things during that time and he would never forget those teachings

for the rest of his life.

That night, the couple realized that they couldn''t fall asleep.

The next morning, Ca thought that Terence had allowed her to go back home that day.

To her surprise, he tried everything he could do to make her stay in the vi for another week. He didn''t

let her go until a week before the wedding day itself.

Ca only sighed. Once Terence made up his mind, there was nothing she could do about it.

Before she returned to the Hua family, Andrea had already prepared everything she needed for the

    wedding.

Much to Ca''s surprise, the house was bustling with rtives.

She thought that only a few people would show up and prepare the wedding with her since most of her

rtives from the Hua family were indifferent to her.

Ca was dumbfounded and only stood still like a rock.

Meanwhile Bonnie was abroad and was in a rtionship so she didn''t fly back. Noah said that he was

on his way home and the other two brothers were all at home.

They all wanted to give her a warm wee once she returned.

"Callie, I''m so sorry! I busied myself with work since you came home. I didn''t even have a chance to

catch up with you. And now, you''re getting married! So foolish of me. Please ept this ss of wine

    as an apology!"

York stood up, raised his ss to Ca and gulped it down.

Ca was puzzled. She didn''t have any idea about their change of attitude towards her. Nheless,

she still raised her ss because she wanted to be polite.

She smiled, "That''s so sweet of you, brother."

"Oh no. It''s all my fault. I wasn''t thinking at all! You are my little sister, and as your big brothers, we

should take good care of you and make it up to you!" York said, feeling guilty on what he had done.

He poured another ss of wine and served it to Andrea. "Mom, this is for you. Thank you for raising

me and educating me all these years. Thank you for always thinking about me."

Andrea looked at York and shook her head with a faint smile on her lips, "York, my child, it''s nothing.

I''m d that you finally figured out your problems and came home. You''re family and you''re always

    wee here."

Tristan bit his lip restlessly when he heard their conversation. There was still one nagging doubt at the

back of his mind. He took a deep breath, finding courage to ask his mother.

"Mom, can I ask you one thing? Who''s older between me and Callie? This has been confusing me for a

long time." He raised an eyebrow towards Andrea, giving her a questioning look.

Since they were a big family and things wereplicated between them, they didn''t figure out their

ranks by ages. From what he knew, they had Ahern, Ted, Jimmy, and then Bonnie.

Tristan really thought that he was the youngest one in the family.

"Oh right! Thank you for reminding me. Well, Tristan, you are a few days younger than Callie.

Therefore, Callie is ranked fourth and she is your older sister."

Andrea said as she mentally counted the days in her mind. She didn''t think about this before since they

didn''t have many chances to gather together at home like that.

After all, they were all adopted by Andrea a long time ago, so there might be some slight differences in

    their birth dates.

"Oh really, Mom? I''m so happy to have a little brother!" Ca eximed, pping her hands. She

raised her ss and clinked it with Tristan''s.

"Sister, I''ve heard that you also have a little brother aside from me. Can you introduce me to him?"

    Tristan asked.

Tristan had a light, delicate faceplemented by his bushy eyebrows and thick eyshes. His golden

curly hairplemented his handsome face very well. He might as well pass off as a doll.

It was no wonder on how he kept attracting girls'' attention. Andrea onceined to Ca that

Tristan would always be hanging out with girls and barely went home.

"Of course. His name is Sean and he''s eleven years old. I''ll introduce him to you guys when the time is

right!" Ca replied as she smiled.

"Why the long wait? You''re going to get married next week, aren''t you? I think it''s the perfect time for us

to meet him. What do you think, mom?" Tristan asked, turning to Andrea.

Andrea nodded in agreement. "Callie, I''ve been meaning to tell you about it. Ever since your parents

passed away, no one could take care of Sean. Why not bring him here? I''ll look after him. We''re a big

family and your mother is really good with children!

Callie, rest assured that I will treat him like my own son and make him feel at home."

Ca slightly shook her head as her eyes went downcast, "Mom, I really appreciate the thought. When

the time is right, I''ll tell him about it. But for now, I don''t want him to know about it yet. He''s still too

young to have this kind of pressure."

Sean had always thought that Ca was his biological sister. Even though he had grown older, she was

still afraid that it would be a hard pill for him to swallow.

If he found out that she had another family with her biological parents, with a lot of brothers and sisters,

he would get heartbroken and feel lonely.

She couldn''t bear to put to him in that position and make him suffer.

"Callie, you''re right. He''s still too young." Then Andrea turned to Tristan, "And you, Tristan, should

behave yourself and watch your mouth during the wedding." She was totally understanding of Callie''s

    worries.

After all, he was only eleven years old. Family meant a lot to him as a little child. He might be crushed if

    he found out about it.

As they were enjoying their little chit-chat, the sound of footstepsing from outside suddenly caught

    their attention.

When Tristanid his eyes on the man in the doorway, he waved and shouted, "Big brother, you''re

    finally back!"
