Chapter 379 Ca, I Love You!


    Ca was pacing to and fro inside her room. She gnawed on her fingernails as she pondered an


    excuse to refuse Noah. Then her thoughts were interrupted when she heard footstepsing from the


    door.


    She quickly sat back onto the sofa, pretending to watch the TV. She shed a smile at Noah who had


    juste in. "Wow! That was quick. Have you taken a shower yet?"


    She actually meant to tell Noah to go back and take another bath, but unfortunately, Noah took her


    words the wrong way.


    "Ah, my dear Ca, what do you want from me?" Noah walked over to her, giving her a flirtatious smile.


    "Well, of course I have taken a shower. But I am a man, so I don''t need to spend hours inside the


    bathroom for a shower."


    Ca was momentarily stunned by his words. She was a bit distracted and she didn''t notice that


    Noah''s hair was still wet.

    He walked towards Ca, slowly bending over to pick her up, as if she were a princess, and carried her


    to the bed.


    When they came over to the bed, Ca suddenly nuzzled up against his arm as if it was her pillow. She


    noticed that the more active she was, the more passive Noah became when she did all the things he


    wanted to do with her.


    "Ca?"


    Noah was puzzled by how different she was acting today.


    "Yes, Noah? What''s the matter?" Ca looked up at him with her doll-like eyes.

    "I see. All right then, I''m going to sleep. Good night!" Ca pulled the quilt open with a single hand and


    spread it over her. She checked the time on her cellphone and then stashed it away in her bedside


    drawer before turning off themp.


    She adjusted her long, lustrous hair and finally chose afortable position to lie down in.


    Nothing of what Ca did was out of the ordinary so nothing seemed fishy at the moment.


    After struggling to sleep for a few minutes, which strangely felt like hours, Ca opened her drawer and


    checked the time on her cellphone again. When she turned around and looked up, she was startled by


    Noah, who was staring at her quietly. "Hey, why are you still awake?" she said to him.


    "Well, I just can''t fall asleep. I feel so happy to have you in my arms," Noah spoke softly.


    His answer truly came from his heart. Hey on his side, squeezed her in his arms and gave her a


    sweet kiss on her forehead.


    "Noah, are you joking? I mean, there are countless women throwing themselves at you all the time.


    Besides, considering the number of affairs you''ve had, you should be used to having different women


    in your arms."


    It was already quitete in the night but Ca''s eyes twinkled like Northern Star.

    Noah embraced her gently and kissed her nape softly. "To be honest, I usually tend to hold back my


    feelings towards you. But Ca, I want you to know that I do love you.


    I really do. I am not using you for my pleasure nor do I have any bad intentions. I really am truly, madly


    and deeply in love with you. I just wish to be with you for the rest of my life.


    I know it''s too much to promise but I will always do my best to keep my word. At first, I approached you


    because I wanted to take over the Hua Group but eventually, I came to realize that the one I actually


    wanted is you.


    If I were to be given a choice, I would give up everything I have right now in a heartbeat just to be able

    Noah posed with a frown but his words carried great seriousness.


    Upon hearing his words, Ca''s bright eyes dimmed down a bit as she clenched her palms into a ball.


    "Ca, will you give me a chance to love you for the rest of my life?" Noah spoke with a muffled tone

    When he took a nce at Ca and found out she had fallen asleep, he sighed, chuckling bitterly to


    himself and took her in his arms again. He whispered, "I hope I''ll be able to hold you like this forever."


    Minutes had psed.


    Noah, who was in good spirits, unsuspectingly fell into deep slumber.


    A few momentster, Ca slowly opened her eyes. She was actually pretending to be asleep the


    whole time. She looked at Noah''s sleeping face and gently pulled his hand away from her waist.


    Then she quietly got up and patted her hair down. Earlier, she took some medicinal powder from her


    bedside drawer and quietly sprinkled it over her hair. The powder took a while to take effect but

    The moment Noah stepped out of the room, the smile on his face faded away at a gradual rate before


    his face turned gloomy. He had been drowning in guilt since the moment he stepped out of Julie''s


    house.


    In truth, Noah had no reason to doubt that he had slept with Ca on that fateful night at the


    underground restaurant.


    However, after sleeping with Julie again, Noah felt puzzled as to why it felt like he was making love to


    Ca the whole time he was with Julie.


    He chided himself, embarrassed by his outrageous notions.
