Ca was about to step up when Noah hurriedly pulled her back.
"Are you serious? Can''t you just behave a bit, Ca?"
whispered Noah while gripping her hand. "You''re my date tonight, moreover, my fiancee. Are you even
aware that we''re in public? I don''t care about what you think but I do care about what others think.
Show me some respect, alright?"
Turning back to Noah, Ca replied, "Rx, okay? I still have my senses. I won''t blow it up."
Although she was mesmerized by Terence, she still kept her guards up. She promised not to do
anything inconsiderately.
Also, she didn''t think that Noah would take her to simr gatherings again if she screwed this night up.
Her credits mattered.
"Good to know. The auction will start in ten minutes. Don''t wander too far," Noah whispered again upon
noticing some business acquaintances approaching them.
"Okay," acknowledged Ca.
Then politely, she nodded at the two men walking towards them.
They exchanged greetings with them for a while before Ca found an excuse to leave.
She couldn''t take her mind off Terence, who was still surrounded by elites. She took up a te of
snacks and stood in a corner. She was eating while watching all the morous people passing by. All
of them were corporate giants and celebrities. For some reason, that charity event appeared more like
a power battle than a party.
Ca had been eyeing Rena, who was Terence''s date, from the beginning.
Her arms were tightly wrapped around Terence''s. Rena was deliberately clinging to him like a delicate
bird, making sure that everyone understood who owned the man beside her.
Ca, on the other hand, took a sip of red wine. She was just ncing around casually as if everything
wasn''t interesting at all. However, she was keenly watching Terence discreetly through her peripheral
vision. There was not even a second that her attention left the man. She was counting the number of
women who tried hitting on him and had been blocked by Rena.
What a surprise! Rena was indeed the best guard there.
At that same moment, Noah, who was also radiating with charisma, was already being surrounded by a
league of beautiful women.
They flocked to him like fireflies upon seeing him alone.
A woman in a blue dress was even leaning close to him intimately, talking andughing with him all the
time.
It was then that Ca noticed Terence walking away. He seemed to be heading to the bathroom.
That was her chance! She immediately bottomed up her drink and put the wine ss down.
She rushed to the bathroom too by cutting corners. "Hey, Terence!" shouted Ca as soon as they
reached an empty corridor towards the bathroom.
Excitedly, she ran towards him as fast as she could.
Terence stopped upon hearing Ca''s voice and turned around.
He wasn''t given time to react when Ca suddenly plunged into him and embraced his neck with her
delicate arms. She tip-toed and stared at his face while smiling.
"Did you miss me, Terence?"
Terence gave her a quick once-over. He then sarcastically remarked, "What is Noah thinking? How
dare he let you dress like that? You''ll beughed at once the other women see you.
You are supposed to be the wealthy daughter of the Hua family. I can''t believe you''re still keeping that
really bad taste."
Terence could still remember how he carefully picked clothes for her when they were still together. He
had always been keen on giving her the best up to the smallest detail.
"Forget about Noah. It isn''t his fault. I just don''t care much about what I wear. Moreover, Noah already
had a date but I insisted oning. I didn''t have enough time to go back and change in such a short
time. Thus, I just bought this dress in a hurry."
Ca looked down to scrutinize her dress. It might not be fancy but she was pretty sure that it wasn''t
that bad. Well, at least not as bad as Terence made it appear.
"Really? Why did you insist oning?"
Putting his arms around her waist tenderly, Terence pulled her closer to him while looking at her
tenderly. "Why would you do that?"
"Because I wanted to see you. As long as I could see you, I would be here no matter what," replied
Ca.
She was about to say more things when Terence suddenly pressed his lips against her without any
ado. His kisses were hungry and burning, enough to set her on fire.
It never started as a mild kiss and didn''t turn to be one. It was rather violent and wild. Terence lifted her
and swirled the two of them. Before she knew it, he already managed to slide both of them to one of
the open doors there.
They ended up outside, in an empty garden.
Since everyone was busy faking their greetings as socialites inside, nobody even noticed when
Terence leaned her against a tall tree.
His lips had never left Ca''s from the moment they started. Away from the surveince cameras, he
kissed her madly as if they had never done it before.
"Terence..."
Ca pushed him away and took a breath. She was afraid that people might see what they were doing.
"What? It was you who insisted oning. Didn''t youe here for this?" Terence asked in a hoarse
voice. His gazended on her swollen lips and again. He wasn''t able to stop himself from kissing her.
He reached behind her back and started unzipping her dress.
"No. I just came to see you..."
taking a break to sneak another breath, Ca said. She then looked at him with hazy eyes, trying to
breathe normally.
"Is that so? I don''t think that''s what''s inside your mind. Your body is betraying you." Terence chuckled
as he looked at her with need.
Then just like a blitz, Ca''s eyes instantly widened in shock. Terrence had already stripped her off
even before she realized it.
Gradually, the morous mor inside the hall stopped.
The charity auction was about to start.
Then, half an hour had passed.
Terence helped zip her dress and dusted off the leaves off it.
He then wrapped his arms around her from behind and rested his head on her shoulder. He whispered
sensually, "Don''t try to see me again or else I''ll do it every time we meet.
I don''t care whether you''re somebody''s fiancee or wife. Cheating is always thrilling..."
He let go of her right after those words and tidied his suit. It was obvious that he was ready to head
back.
"You didn''t mean that, right?"
Ca grabbed his hand and stared at him. She never expected to hear those from him at all.
Exhaling deeply, Terence looked at her. "I didn''t mean to tell you. But since we''ve met, I''d better let you
know. I''ll marry Rena in two months if everything goes smoothly.
However, if you still haven''t given up on me, I wouldn''t mind you throwing yourself on me as I said."
Ca was beyond stunned. It took her a while to process his words. She shook her head after a while
and said, "What are you talking about? Terence! Don''t be joking!"
No, she couldn''t believe it.
This couldn''t be true.
She couldn''t even figure out how he managed to say those! This was outright impossible!
"Joking? Do you think I will joke on my grandfather? Although I couldn''t give him a grandson yet, at
least I could make him watch me get married. That''s the only thing I could do to fulfill my filial piety."
He then forcefully pulled his hand off Ca''s grip and gave out an ironic chuckle. "You know what? I
had always thought that I couldn''t live without you. However, my father was right. We''re not meant to
be."
After he finished, Terence disappeared into the side door.
Ca was left alone, shivering.
She shook her head. No way!
There was no way she could make it in two months!
He would already be someone else''s husband even before she settled the Hua family''s business.
She could feel her heart screaming in pain just by the thought of Terence sleeping and caring for
another woman day and night.
