    Chapter 78 Elle!


    As as the press conference was done, James stepped out with his bodyguards hovering around him.


    Immediately the reporters and the press attacked him.


    ''What do you have to say, Mr governor? Are the allegations true?" Ady asked and James smiled.


    "If it was so true, I would have been arrested by now but as you can see, I''m walking free.." He replied.


    "And you know we are in the days whereby Technology rules the world. Someone must have framed


    me up. I hope you all understand that.."


    "But what about the video scandal the other time?'' Another reporter asked.


    James sighed again and then smiled sadly.


    "I don''t know why they are after me. They want to tarnish my reputation, I''m sure you all know the great


    things I''ve done for this state ever since I became governor. Did you really think I will go as far and


    stoop so low just to gain power, I believe every one has their time to serve and I think my time is up. Let


    another faithful person take over from me. I will dly support the person and I will make sure that this


    election is conducted, free and fair.." He said and the reporters nodded, satisfied with the answers.


    "So all in all, someone is framing you up for the crimes you nevermitted?"


    "Yeah, that''s right. It''s very obvious.." James answered.


    "And who is your suspect, Governor?" Another reporter asked and James smirked.


    "Mayor Langford.." He announced and everyone gasped.


    "But isn''t the mayor kidnapped? He was kidnapped two months ago so how''s he your suspect?"


    "I know I might sound absurd but that''s the truth. I believe Mayor Langford was not kidnapped. He only


    went into hiding to deceive you all and gain the sympathy of the people, so when he is found, he won''t


    have a hard time winning the elections. That''s his strategy, I presume.." He said and everyone gasped


    again.


    "How sure are you governor?" Another said and James smirked inwardly.


    His n was sure working but then the bigger n is yet toe.


    "You see, we both had an argument right before he went missing. As you all know, i have a very cordial


    rtionship with Langford so it''s hurting me right now, deep within but I have to say the truth.." He


    paused and wiped off the fake tear that came rolling from his right eye.


    "Mayor Langford was really interested in being the governor. He wanted to run for governorship but


    when he heard that I''m also running for the same office, he became scared and he confronted me. He


    asked me to withdraw from the elections since I akrrady had my time as a governor but I told him that I


    still want to serve the people till myst breath and that brought the argument. He even swore to


    sabotage me and the very next day, he went missing. So as you can see everything corrtes with


    each other. Despite the Police''s efforts, our darling Mayor is yet to be found. He''s hiding waiting for the


    right time toe out.." James said and smiled and the reporters nodded.


    "Thank you for your time everyone, I''m d I had a chance to voice out my side of the story and I hope


    the people see what is right and wrong. If you still want to cast your votes for me, no probs.. "


    "And if you don''t want to, it''s fine. Anyway, I''m d I still managed to prove myself innocent.."


    Just as he was talking, he noticed a red light on a reporter''s forehead. He smirked inwardly.


    "Let the game begin.."

    His eyes widened and he immediately pushed her off. She fell to the ground and a gun shot was heard.


    Everyone scampered for safety while James groaned and held his blessing arm. As he was about to go


    down, his bodyguards caught him.


    "Governor! Governor!"


    James smirked.


    "This is enough to gain the sympathy of the people, I''m surom77e they will all start praising me again.."

    Elle drove throu gh the lonely streets. She was on her way to see Langford incase he still had


    something to say. She could remember that he wanted to say something the other day but he couldn''t.


    He has confessed every other thing aside that and she would make sure she gets it out of him today.


    She furrowed her brows when she noticed a ck van was following her.


    "What''s that?" She mumbled and increased her speed. The van also increased its speed and before


    she knew it, they started shooting at her.


    "Gosh! Damn it!" She said and bowed slightly. Her hands went to the rear and her brought out her


    bbbnpistol. She looked outside a bit and then started shooting also. She immediately docked when


    another bullet was shot but she couldn''t control it any longer annd the van swerved and came in front


    of her car. She had to quickly stop her car from crashing into theirs.


    The van''s door opened and six masked men came out. She groaned and hit the sterling.


    "These damn guys are going to waste my time.." She thought.


    "Freeze.." One of them said and she removed her hands from the sterling then raised it up in the air.


    He opened the door and ordered her toe out but Elle was not scared.


    "Who sent you?" She asked and he smirked.


    "Comtinue talking and I will blow your head up!" The first one said.


    "Fine, I''m sorry. I won''t ask again but maybe I should do this…" She says and immediately kicked the


    gun out of his hand. She immediately grabbed him by the neck and brought out her gun from the


    trouser pocket. The others were shocked also. They were pointing their guns to her and she was


    pointing it to the head of their leader.


    "Try and pull the trigger and I won''t hesitate to blow up your leader''s head and feed it to the dogs.." She


    said and then shot his leg.


    He groaned in pain but his minions couldn''t do anything so they didn''t want to lose their leader.


    "Step back. Don''t shoot. Drop your guns.." Their leader said in pain and they did so. He tried to hit her


    using his elbow but she dodged it and immediately pushed him to the ground and then stepped on his


    wound.


    He yelled madly in pain.


    "Now, I want to ask this simple question? Who sent you?" She asked.


    "It''s no one.." The leader answered and she pressed his leg more harder. He groaned again.


    "It''s ma''am Giselle.." He blurted out and she smirked.


    "Never knew she hates me to this extent.." She said and then removed her leg from him.


    "Tell her what you encountered.." She said and made to leave but then she turned and immediately a


    gun shot hit her chest. She groaned and held it but then smirked.


    "I''m wearing a very good bulletproof vest.." She said and then she brought her gun and then shot three


    of them dead.


    The other three were shocked. She walked towards the two that were standing close to each other and


    mmed their heads madly against each other and they fell down unconscious.


    Elle turned back to the leader who was still groaning in pains. He was undoubtedly shocked. She was


    damn good.


    "Tell your boss what you just saw.." She winked at him and walked out.
