*Release of new chapters is on Wednesdays @ 10pm EST and Sundays 12pm EST*Fourteen years have passed in blissful peace since the five kingdoms of the known realm have seen the honed wings of a harpy tear through their skies. Not all have been resting. Blood feuds and schemes to shift the scales of power fester in the noble houses of Ileth as a young girl with an impossible dream finds herself set adrift in a newly hostile world.“Duty Before Dreams” are the Words of House Stillhour, yet Lady Wrena’s childhood dream is to become the first lady knight. With a cruel twist of fate, the line between her duty and her dream starts to blur. But was it worth the cost? For the dove has now found its respite, and the harpy’s time has come.**********************************************This work will be character driven with a slow shift from someone who holds honor as the cornerstone of their identity, to being faced with choices where the honorable path will not bring them what they desire, and how motivations can change with one, and then many, inciting moments. It is heavily inspired by Arya's story in Game of Thrones. I really love medieval horror and wanted to take a crack at it. That said, countless hours have gone into researching the Middle Ages/medieval time period in effort to be as accurate as possible, but I am sure I will get some things wrong! Please let me know if you see any inaccuracies or period specific things I could better portray. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have writing it.
