    with the Adania Group. I have to leave. Let Damien. take you back; Aunt


    Charisa needs my help with the procedures.”

    Cherise scrunched up her nose while watching his departure, murmuring to


    herself, “He’s always in such a hurry…”


    She had wanted to return with him. Left with no choice, Cherise called


    Damien.


    In the evening, Damien finally arrived, slightly dyed.


    “How was your day?” The man secured her seatbelt, speaking softly.


    His deep voice slightly warmed Cherise’s heart. She pursed her lips,

    wonderful mother. I’ve misunderstood her all this time.”


    Ever since the incident with Uncle Elvis, Cherise’s perspective of the


    head of the Miles Family had always been distorted. Even upon learning


    she was her birth mother, Cherise hadn’t been too thrilled. However, the


    reassurance from Zachary and Charisa before the meal finally made her
