By the time Alex finished explaining, Jason was dead silent.
He wasn’t one to take things seriously, but his usual humor was gone.
"You’re saying… reality is being rewritten?"
Camilla exhaled. "It adds up.
Maya writes things before they happen.
Alex remembers things after they’re erased.
Jason reacts before things happen.
And I… I see the missing pieces."
She glanced around the room. “We’re all connected to this.”
Jason let out a breath. “Okay. That actually explains a lot.”
Alex narrowed his eyes. “Like what?”
Jason rubbed the back of his neck. "I thought I was just insanely good at dodgeball, man. But now? I’m not so sure."

He looked at Alex. "You threw that pillow at me earlier. I didn’t even see it. I just... moved."
His face turned serious. "And it’s not just today. I’ve been sensing things before they happen. Like a split second of warning before something falls. Or knowing someone’s about to call my name before they do."
Maya bit her lip. "Like instinct?"
Jason exhaled. "Something like that. But it’s getting stronger."
Silence filled the room.
They weren’t normal. None of them.
Camilla was the first to speak. "We need to figure this out. Fast."
Jason nodded. "And maybe stop keeping secrets next time?"
Maya looked down. "We weren’t sure if it was real yet."
"Well, it’s real now," Alex said. "And it’s getting worse."
Jason cracked his knuckles. "So what’s the plan, brainiac?"
Camilla smirked. "We find out what’s happening before it finds us."
None of them realized just how little time they had left.
Because by the next night, half the town would be gone.
