    Alex stood firm, his resolve unshaken as he addressed Be. “I’ll help you this onest time. After this,


    you’re on your own. Move abroad, rebuild your life. Our paths won’t cross again,” he stated, his voice


    devoid of any warmth.


    Turning his attention to Johnson, who had apanied Be to the hospital, Alex’s gaze was sharp
