    tomorrow. Let’s return each other’s belongings and end this chapter for good.”


    Alex’s frustration grew as Emma brushed off his attempts at a deeper conversation.


    “And what about Be’s scandals? Was that your doing? I thought you promised to delete any


    incriminating material after our divorce,” he used, his voice tinged with bitterness.


    Emma’sugh was cold and distant. “Some things are beyond my control. Instead of questioning me,


    perhaps consider who Be has wronged over the years.”


    With those final words, Emma hung up, leaving Alex feeling powerless and angry..
