Mica was carried to the other side of the car by Nico.
The woman in his arms had long since deted.
In one night, after two full life and death experiences, Mica’s consciousness had be confused by immense fear.
Nico had just taken Mica to the car when Adam’s call came in.
“Hey, if you don’te to the base, I’ll leave first ah, I’m in a hurry to get home to sleep.”
Nico reached out and touched the semi-conscious Mica’s forehead on the passenger side, it was hot and burning, his eyebrows furrowed and he changed his doggy tone until then and had some profound words, “Come back first, my wife has a fever and I need to take her to the nearest clinic.”
Adam snorted on the other side, “Your wife? Did the human girl agree? You’re the wife. ”
“For your own good.”
Nico dropped the line and then simply hung up.
The ck SUV, driving at full speed under the dark night meadows.
Nico wanted to take Mica to the nearest clinic to get her fever medicine, but he was afraid that driving too fast would make Mica feel sick in the car.
He was really angry with Mica tonight.
Never in his life had he felt as overwhelmed and insecure as he did tonight. This is property ? of N?velDrama.Org.
He struggled to get out of the meadow and onto the highway, and there was a residential clinic twenty miles away, but Mica was already leaning against the passenger side, burned out, and starting to talk in confusion.
She curled up, eyes closed, but tears were still streaming from the corners of her eyes as she said dreamily, “I didn’t write to Dario… ever…. Nico … why you just … don’t believe me.”
Nico’s hand, which gripped the steering wheel, shook, though his eyes fluttered.
He looked back to her and saw that she was crying so hard that Nico couldn’t resist freeing one hand to wipe the hot tears from the corners of her eyes with his fingers.
He said, “I know, you didn’t write to Dario. ”
As an answer to Mica, and as a whisper to herself.
The voice is soft and warm, deeply emotional.
Not that he believed in Kemena or in Mica’s character, but that he was mad with jealousy, jealous that Dario had known her before he did, jealous that Dario had taken over her whole heart when she was still sixteen and ignorant.
Mica had willingly eloped with Dario for his sake.
Nico couldn’t imagine that a girl like Mica, with her self-esteem at the core, would ever be willing to turn her back on the world and despise the whole world for one person.
The one who disregards her is Dario, not him, Nico.
When Mica was with him, Nico could feel that Mica was counting the cost, that with him Mica had never fully opened up and had always held back.
Mica was so burned out that she couldn’t hear Nico’s words, and even forgot if there was anyone around her and who it was.
What sobriety could be expected from someone after being terrorized by death twice in one night, it’s not too much to say that she was half scared to death.
Mica moaned intermittently, “Nico… you’re really disgusting…. being a jerk.”
Nico dismissed it, muttering a reply to himself as he drove, “I’m annoying and an asshole.”
It was her own fault that she deserved not to love him.
“Why did you break up with me…”
Dario did, and so did Nico.
Is she unworthy of love?
Nico froze for a moment and stared back at him for a few seconds, not quite sure if he was questioning why he had broken up with her, or if Dario was breaking up with her.
Nico was silent for a long moment, and finally, in a somewhat forlorn voice, said, “It’s so extreme because it’s so much like.
Extreme, wanting all of her, her body and her heart, he wanted them all.
And it’s not just a little bit of her heart, Nico is greedy like a hungry hunter who wants to get hold of all of Mica’s heart.
If he couldn’t get her so full of affection, he, then, would rather throw her away first.
He wanted all of her, all of her, all of her including every lock of her hair that belonged to him.
The SUV finally arrived at the clinic.
The clinics in Southern Africa are not as well equipped as those in the country, but they are not bad either.
Mica had a high fever of 40 degrees and almost burned her brain.
The clinic beds are full and Nico is sitting in a chair with Mica in his arms, dangling water.
Mica’s thin and emaciated appearance as she curled up in the big chair made Nico’s heart ache with pity, and all the anger he had held in his heart earlier disappeared tonight.
Mica’s head rested against the hard back of the chair, her sleeping position didn’t seemfortable, and Nico sat down beside her, reaching out to sp her head on his shoulder.
And then his arms moved to embrace her.
He lowered his head and kissed her forehead, his eyes a little unfocused as he murmured, “Mica, I made a big mistake, get well soon.”
Even if it was better to get better and work against him, it would be better than what was happening now.
Nico realized that he didn’t want to see Mica in her weak and pathetic state any more than he wanted to see the thorn-covered woman fighting him tooth and nail.
Throughout the night, Nico watched Mica as she hung unconscious with fever.
Finally, Nico let out a long sigh and wrapped her arms around her head to lean against his, saying helplessly, “Defeated, I duck my head, okay?”
Mica could not hear and did not answer.
Like a childish child, Nico continued, “If you don’t say anything, we’ll call it peace.”
Mica: “…”
Nico: “Silence is a yes, a kiss.”
Nico turned his head and kissed Mica’s dry, chapped lips.
