Chapter 540 You Are Not Wee Here

"Okay, call him then!" said Jean as they walked over to the elevator of the Wanda za.

Moore took his phone out and called Leo.

Jean was looking around until Moore hung up the phone. She then asked, "How did it go? When is he

Moore looked at Jean and said, "He''s noting!"

    "Why?" Jean asked in surprise.

"Leo refused to take the money. He can''t take the money because he thought what he did for us was

something really small," replied Moore, and he sighed.

"What does he mean by that? Without the information that he gave us, we would have never guessed

that it was Calvin behind the video incident. It was my fault that I didn''t realize it untilst minute. And

then there was nothing that could be done with him," said Jean. Jean said whatever came to her mind

which made her quite upset so she continued, "Anyway, I have to make it clear with him and pay for his

    efforts. Give me your phone!"

Moore passed over his phone to her. He was surprised when Jean said that in such an aggressive

    manner.

Moore had never seen Jean act this way. He felt strange.

But he knew that Jean just wanted to see Leo.

"How did it go?" Moore asked Jean after she finished the call.

"It''s done! He ising! Let''s wait for him at the coffee shop," Jean replied proudly.

Moore instantlyplimented her, "You did it! That''s good!"

"Ha-ha! See! This is how good I am!" Jean said happily.

"Yes, you are great!" Mooreplimented her again. "Will Leo think that we are insane? He probably

thinks that we are out of our minds now by forcing him to take the money. But Leo is odd too. How can

he not take any money for the work that he did for this case?"

    Moore asked in confusion.

"Ha-ha-ha!" As Jeanughed, a lot of people looked at them curiously. She said, "Don''t you think Leo

and we are kind of simr? We are all strange people who are adamant on our principles. So he

doesn''t want to take the money and we insist on giving him the money."

"That''s true. But," said Moore. He sat with Jean, in the corner of the coffee shop and continued talking,

"But that''s not right! Leo worked for us and he should be paid what he deserves."

"Indeed! What would you like to drink?" Jean asked and nodded as she wanted to change the topic.

    "Blue Mountain, please!"

    said Moore casually.

"All right then! I would like to have a cup of Mocha and a Blue Mountain for him. Please! Thank you!"

Jean nodded at the waiter and added a couple of desserts on the order list. After the waiter left, she

said, "Anyway, I think the three of us are weird in our own ways."

"Don''t drag me in this. I am not weird!" protested Moore.

Jean saw his cute reaction, knowing that he had already forgotten his gloom earlier, so she went on

with the joke. "I am dragging you in this! What are you gonna do?"

Jean said in a funny way.

Moore sighed and said, "I guess I can''t do anything about it! I think I''ve already fallen in your trap."

"So, Moore," Jean said with a smile. And she continued, "So you agree that you are just as weird as

    me, aren''t you?"

    Moore looked at Jean arrogantly.

At that moment, the waiter brought their coffee and desserts to the table.

Moore took a sip of his drink and got rxed.

"Moore?" Jean suddenly called out to Moore.

"Yeah?" responded Moore. He looked at Jean and waited for her response.

"You are going to be all right!" said Jean seriously. She then continued, "Promise me that you will take

    care of yourself."

"Why are you saying this right now?" Moore felt weird by the way Jean talked.

"Your mother was really pretty and a very nice person," she said with admiration. "She would be really

proud to see how awesome you''ve be."

Moore was touched by her words. He was speechless.

After a while, he replied, "Thank you, Jean!" He talked in a very low voice. He then continued, "I am

trying my best to get better. I want to be good, and thest thing I want is to disappoint my mother. Your

words were very touching, and I am d to hear that!"

"Silly boy!" said Jean. "You did a really great job. You are great! So, please forget about the past. Past

is in the past. Be happy! And stop acting like an old man. Don''t frown your eyebrows!"

Jean said those words as she wanted him to forget about the past.

Moore nodded as he was about to cry. He then said, "Okay, I''ll try!"

"What do you mean that you will try? You should say that you will surely be happy from now on," Jean

    corrected him.

    Mooreughed at her childish response.

"That''s it! That''s the smile I was talking about. You will keep smiling from now on!" said Jean.

Moore stopped smiling as he felt silly.

Instead, a cool expression took over his face.

Jean wanted to say something to make himugh again but she stopped as soon as she noticed the

expression on Moore''s face. He looked at the door in surprise.

Jean looked where Moore was looking and immediately hid herself from whoever entered.

"Don''t hide! She already saw you," said Moore as he sighed.

    ''Oh crap!''

Jean cursed in her mind. Her thoughts continued, ''Why did shee here?

    Am I that unlucky today?''

    "Hi Moore and Jean!"

said Edna as she took off her sunsses and walked towards them. She asked, "Can I join you guys?"

Jean rolled her eyes. ''Why did you even bother to ask? You will sit whether we give you the permission

to or not, '' thought Jean.

Jean looked at Moore and realized that Moore was not happy to see Edna. He looked at Edna and said

coldly, "You can''t! You are not wee here!"

Jean was surprised when Moore rejected Edna.

She knew Moore didn''t like Edna. She didn''t like her too.

But she never expected him to reply so bluntly.

She gave him a thumbs up in her head.

"Young man, I am going to forgive your bad behaviour!" said Edna and looked at Moore as she sat next

    to Jean.
