Chapter 718 This Is Not a Threat
Gulp—
Cassius swallowed hard and asked, "Bo-Boss Nicholson, did you kill Ashton and Xanxus?"
Kingsley''s eyes showed a hint of admiration. "You are indeed smarter than I imagined."
"Back at the Underworld Force Meeting, I was quite puzzled. How did you figure out that Ashton''s
death was rted to the military?
"On that day, everyone present was either arrested or killed. How did youe to such a daring
spection?" he curiously inquired.
Cassius sat up straight, looking genuinely anxious. "Ashton was my friend, and he told me he was
going to deal with someone at Summers Residence. But shortly after that, we received news of the
military raiding Summers Residence. So... that''s how I made this bold guess."
He finished, looking awestruck at Kingsley. "But don''t worry, Ashton only confided in me about this.
Besides me, no one else knows the truth."
Kingsley nodded, then suddenly shed a strange smile. "Normally, the only person who knows the
truth, like you, would end up being silenced..."
Cold sweat instantly covered Cassius'' back when he heard Kingsley''s words.
However, before he could beg for mercy, Kingsleyughed heartily.
"I''m just kidding. Do I look like someone who would threaten you with something like that?
"And, who knows? Maybe you and I will build our forces together in the future. I wouldn''t harm a
partner."
Cassius was so nervous that he could not speak.

In just a few seconds, his back waspletely soaked in sweat.
He wiped his forehead, managing to force out a smile. "Y-Yes, Boss Nicholson, your joke is
hrious. Haha, haha..."
Cassius was nowpletely convinced.
He knew that he had to follow Kingsley to conquer the world, no matter what.
Not to mention the generous offer he received, just considering the confrontation with the Timothy
Family and the recent threats, he had no choice but toply.
As they were talking, the aroma of food wafted in from the kitchen.
Shannon wore an apron and was preparing dinner.
"Dinner is ready. Come and eat!" she called out loudly.
Cassius quickly stood up and respectfully said to Kingsley, "Boss Nicholson, let''s go. Let''s have
dinner together."
By now, he had already figured out that Kingsley might be someone from the military. So, his level
of respect for Kingsley went up another notch.
Sitting at the dining table, Kingsley smiled. "Mrs. White''s cooking is really good. Just the smell alone
makes my mouth water."
Cayden chuckled. "Uncle Nicholson, my mom''s cooking is really good! Especially these ribs!"
After that, he diligently served a piece of ribs to Kingsley.
Cassius was a bit surprised. "You know how to take care of guests now? It''s the first time I''ve seen
you serve food to someone else."
Cayden smiled somewhat embarrassedly and said, "I like Uncle Nicholson. I think he''s amazing."
"You little naughty boy. You''ve got quite the discerning eye," Cassius muttered, then deliberately put
on a serious face.
"Hurry up and eat. After you finish, go back to do your homework. Your mom and I have something
to discuss with Uncle Nicholson."
"Okay, Dad."
Cayden responded and stopped talking, focusing on eating with his chubby cheeks moving as he
tried to finish his meal.
Because of the child''s presence, they did not mention what had happened just now.
Shannon spoke thoughtfully after Cayden had finished eating and returned to his room.
"Boss Nicholson, about your question on the reason why I didn''t want to return to the Timothy
Family, now I can exin it to you slowly."
Kingsley nodded. "Mr. White has already told me some of it. I''m just curious, how did your father
suddenly agree to your marriage back then? How did you... threaten him?"
