Chapter 715 Dinner Invitation
Cassius gently grasped her hand, offering reassurance, "Don''t worry, I won''t let them take you away
as long as I''m alive!"
He then turned to Kingsley and expressed his gratitude with a respectful bow. "Mr. Nicholson, I
sincerely thank you for today."
Shannon, her voice trembling with tears, added, "Indeed, if it weren''t for you, Cassius might have
been hurt by Mr. Stewart."
"It was nothing." Kingsley waved his hand, his face filled with confusion. "But I don''t understand. Mr.
Timothy is your biological father. How did your rtionship deteriorate to this extent?"
Shannon lowered her gaze, her voiceden with sorrow. "It''s a long andplicated story..."
"If it''s not convenient to share, I apologize for being curious," Kingsley uttered, his tone filled with
understanding.
"You''re our savior, and there''s no inconvenience, but indeed, it''s a lengthy story," Shannon
responded.
Shannon nced at the clock hanging on the wall, noticing the time.
"It''s almost dinner time now. Why don''t you stay and join us for a meal? We can eat and talk at the
same time."
Upon hearing Shannon''s suggestion, both Kingsley and Cassius wore expressions of surprise.
Cassius knew very well that his wife had never been fond of his connections from the martial world.

It seemed that Kingsley''s intervention in saving his life earlier had shattered her resistance
completely.
Since Shannon had extended the invitation, Cassius couldn''t refuse. Moreover, he was genuinely
grateful to Kingsley.
He nodded and responded, "Indeed, Mr. Nicholson, let''s chit-chat and have a drink tonight."
Kingsley, eager to recruit Cassius, readily epted. "It''s my pleasure."
Shannon wiped away her tears and turned to Cassius, uttering, "Cassius, I''ll go pick up Cayden
from school. You can take our savior home."
Upon hearing Shannon''s words, Kingsley quickly interjected, "Please don''t call me that. Just call me
Kingsley."
"That isn''t appropriate." Shannon insisted. "I''ll go along with Cassius and call you Mr. Nicholson."
Cassius chuckled. "Even Mr. Cole doesn''t get treated like this."
Kingsley joined in theughter, responding, "I consider it a great honor."
Looking at the shattered ss on the floor, he inquired, "What about all this? Shouldn''t we clean it
up?"
"We''ll have someone take care of it tomorrow," Cassius remarked.
"This neighborhood is close-knit, and everyone knows each other well. Even if doors are left
unlocked at night, nothing goes missing."
Kingsley nodded in agreement. "That''s something the city can''t match. If I get the chance, I would
love to stay here for a while," he expressed.
Cassius chuckled heartily, revealing the boldness and charisma of a man from the martial world.
"Well then, Mr. Nicholson, why don''t you spend the night at my ce? You won''t be able to drive
back to the city after drinking anyway. As long as you don''t mind my humble home," he suggested.
"That would be great!" Kingsley agreed without hesitation.
Subsequently, Shannon left to pick up their son, Cayden White, from the nearby Twinfield
Elementary School, while Kingsley apanied Cassius back to his home.
Cassius'' residence was located in the aging apartment building behind the stationery store. These
residential buildings, remnants of the past decade, had fallen into a state of disrepair.
Even the hallways were covered in small advertisements and adorned with children''s doodles.
Upon reaching the fifth floor, Cassius unlocked the stout iron door and invited, "Mr. Nicholson,
pleasee in."
Kingsley entered, changed into a pair of slippers, and settled onto the sofa, taking a moment to
observe the surroundings.
It was a simple two-bedroom apartment, with an area of no more than seventy square meters.
Despite itspact size, the interior exuded an organized and cozy ambiance, imbued with the
essence of a well-lived life.
Cassius brought a ss of water for Kingsley and sat on the adjacent sofa.
After a brief contemtive pause, he began to speak in a measured tone.
